The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
We only heard some wind here, though the Tv Show was interrupted by weather guys to tell there was a warning south, prolly for you Dan.
Mike the door is 9' wide a 3 section slider, 2 outer sections are stationary, middle section slides, standard height.

Good morning everyone.
Slow start to the Friday. I don't have a wall guy, and the others are trickling wheels in to me. Robot guys are switching around, the wall guys we have are switching around, we lose/gain/lose/gain a mechanic, it's FUBAR. Eh, I expect big things out of the weekend, this is just the toll road to get to it.
Greg that's a big wall of glass. Does the middle door slide either direction or just one? Mom's house has these big picture windows looking out into the back yard. The yard is all grown up so there isn't much to see, but they let in an incredible amount of light. I do miss that. Walking into my house is like walking into a cave.
Rain tonight? It's been an awesome week without rain. Sunny, warm, maybe when it rains again I will think of it as the exception, not the norm.
Okay have a good morning everyone.

Jamesbo with the canopy on it makes it look like a long wheelbase.
Well I wouldn't have believed it this morning, but I'm the star player today. I started getting a wheel here and there and before I knew it I had tons of wheels. I'm at 40 right now. Plant Maintenance has been working on the robot all day, and we only have three wall guys for four mechanics. But things are moving along.
I'm going to Montgomery tonight to look at a car. I was going to take Tiger but I called to tell Mom and she said I should leave him here. So I'll take him over there on my way out. He'll get to spend the night because I won't be home until quite late.

Mike - Earth is often referred to as the water planet. The Awful House depends on rain. The Awful House serves food. There exists no food without rain. I hate to rain on your parade but we need rain.
I hear it rains all the time on Venus. And Jupiter. Jupiter has had some raging thunderstorm for millions of years. Glad I'm not going there any time soon.
Awful house gets their water from the tap, not from rain. I've never seen a cistern on top of an Awful house.

Hey Jim - That ***** looks good. A nice touch of a little added protection for your boys working the hemp fields?

Jim - Steak, taters, and onions look delicious.
Dan - Nothing worse to drive on than black ice, sorry to hear someone died because of it. Glad you made it OK!
Feels like Winter again here, especially after a fair taste of 70's and 80's. High 48°, overcast, steady 15-mph winds gusting to 30-mph. Windchill 42°! There is a car cruise-in close by tonight, but as much as I'd like to go, it's just too damn miserable out.
Wife's spending the night at the granddaughters house, so I've got the pups to look after. We'll miss Momma, but we'll manage.
Hope ya'll had a great day!

Jamesbo,
You need to keep a close eye on that Garand. I recently saw the prices on the CMP web site. Welded closed Drill rifles are going for $500 and ones that actually shoot and have pretty wood are around $1200. Wow.

Gonna make Italian meatball sandwich for dinner. Ground veal, ground Italian sausage, and ground 80/20. Mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. A little cheating as I wont be making the sauce.
Hi everyone.
The car today was a bust. It was a 95 Impala SS. Too bad, too, it had good body and paint, and it ran like a champ. It had too many petty little things, and it wasn't worth what the guy wanted. He wasn't in a hurry to dicker so I turned tail and went home with an empty trailer. He also said the old lady that bought it new went to assisted living and died there, and the family didn't sell the car for 5 years. So who knows what will crop up later due to it sitting so long. Eh, I wouldn't have known if I didn't go.
I drove on Hwy 31 today in Alabama. Might even be the same one, just how many miles south. Pretty day for a drive. My friend Leo called and talked for an hour or so, so it made the trip seem shorter. I hadn't talked to Leo in a long time.
John that's gross.
Finished installing a light switch in the upstairs bedroom. It was buried in the corner of the closet and not real easy to get at to turn it on. So I made a hole on the other side of the wall and now the switch is outside of the closet door. The switch was bad anyway so that's what started this project. Looks pretty good if you ask me.
BLTs for dinner. Nice relaxing meal. Have a good evening everyone.

Mike - Sorry the car deal didn't work out. Did you happen to ask him to contact you if it doesn't sell right away and he's willing to come down in price?
The part of your post about installing your new light switch reminded me of my fun last night. Garbage disposal went out around 9pm. I knew I was going to be busy with several things including shuttling my Wife to/from her daughter's house on Saturday and Sunday. So I ran down to Lowes and got one, got home around 10pm, and had it in by midnight. That's pretty good for me, not being very mechanically inclined. I was smart enough to get one of the same brand/dimensions so no adjustments needed to be made to the plumbing configuration, although the quick connects on plumbing did have to be disassembled to get the old one out and new one on.

Would have been nice if the car stars aligned. Like you said wouldn't have known if you didn't go. Sometimes the hunting journey is the best part of the adventure.
Yep, I had to re think leaving it in the scabbards in the garage or going inside a convenient store to buy some peanut M&M 's after filling up with petrol
Hi everyone.
Beautiful day. Just got back from Walmart. After a little lunch I'm going home to start some laundry and then do something outside. Perfect temperature.
Nah Chris I didn't say anything to him about that. It has enough wrong with it I wouldn't drive another 7 hour round trip again. One thing I found odd. He had a big thick factory B Body service manual in the trunk. He didn't seem the type to have a book like that laying around. Maybe the old lady did her own maintenance.
Was late to the Awful house this morning so I didn't see any of my buddies. Then I went to my airport and jawed with the fella's for a little while. Then to Mom's and the Walmart thing. I should rest.
Okay good Sunday to you.

Mike - Sounds like you're having a nice day, other than perhaps the trip to Walmart. Just plain cold here and windy, a carbon copy of yesterday. Freeze warning in effect for tonight with projected low of 31°. I sure wish Winter would just get the hell out of here for good!
But, let's look at this from the standpoint of true "heat". It may be 93°F in Phoenix, but it sure as hell isn't unbearable with a absolute minimum amount of humidity @ 10%. I'd take 10% humidity @ 93°F over 90% humidity @ 93°F any day of the week.
Heat Index Chart
‘Heat Index’ is a measure of how hot weather "feels" to the body. The table uses relative humidity and air temperature to produce the "apparent temperature" or the temperature the body "feels". Values are for shady locations only. Exposure to full sunshine can increase heat index values by up to 15°F. Also, strong winds, particularly with very hot, dry air, can be extremely hazardous as the wind adds heat to the body.
Look at the difference in Heat Index at 92°F plotted again RH (in the shade). The human body loses heat via one process - only. Evaporation via pores. As the humidity increases the body is less able to lose heat.

I see that the ad for the car yesterday is gone. Well good for him. There was another one out in Dallas that was the next good one. Now that one is marked pending. No Jamesbo Dallas Texas.
Didn't get much done this afternoon. Went to Home Depot and needed some help, stood around a half hour waiting for apparently no one, then left. The same people were waiting at the customer service desk, I'm sure they weren't happy, either.
So I've been running around with the trailer attached to the truck. I'm gonna need it this week so why take it off. I don't have a tongue jack anymore so it will be challenging taking it on and off. I pull up and park across the driveway at Mom's.
Temp is wonderful here. Rain coming this week. My friend from Alabama is supposed to come out this weekend, rain would throw a great big monkey wrench into things.
