The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
I'm not partial to either Bama or Houston - I'll be eating baked blueberry cobbler + French Vanilla ice cream as they both run up/down court.
We're having Chili Mac tonight. No dessert for me though, I'm swearing off desserts until I lose my Winter pudge so I can get back into my Speedo. Seriously though, I do have a tendency to put on a few extra pounds over the Winter, despite my dedicated workout regimen. My wife is too good a cook, and I love to eat, a devastating combo!
Jeff I remember the gesture aimed toward your jitterbug mowers. I flip someone off at least once a day in traffic.
So Normie doesn't like nicknames. Gee I can't imagine why.
Was working on the blue van today. Got the final brake line on and tight, now I need to replace the proportioning valve. That will be the end of the maintenance and then I can fill the master with brake fluid and bleed it all. That guy has only been sitting how many years.
Beautiful out this afternoon but the rain doth cometh. We've had so much rain it doesn't even affect me anymore. I just feel beaten down by it.

Sure if I would have planted any. I've had zero time to get out into the yard. I've wanted to, but haven't as of yet. I think all of my neighbors have started mowing and I haven't. Not even close.
So I was leaving the post office for Awful house today and was trying to beat some traffic. I dumped the clutch and the revs went up to almost 4000. Shifted, it pulled a little but still revved. Got to Awful house and boy could I smell clutch. Original clutch at 127K so it's no surprise to me it decided to slip. I'll call the mechanic next week and have it in. My buddy said he'd help me with it, thanks but no thanks, no way I'm bench pressing the ZF6 while laying on my back under the truck. And messing with a transfer case as well.

Yep, they're all good teams by this point in the tourney and anything can happen. That's why I enjoy watching this tournament, you just never know which team is going to get hot and rise to the top.
During my tenure @ U of OK (1984-1988, Norman, OK) I regularly played racquetball (3-4/week) & sometimes 2-3 one hour pickup games/week (Basketball). Between ~1986-1987/1988 (summertime) our group would often play pickup games & Stacey King would join us. About 1986 Harvey Grant joined OU basketball and on a couple occasions our same group of guys would play w/ both Stacey & Harvey in our one hour pickup games. Great times.

I know you are going to ax.Mark beat me like a rented mule
Norm I really don't know the details but I think Columbus college gave mark a sweet heart deal to coach and let him give private also. Yes the entire family Is BIG into golf. Mark couldn't have been a nicer guy to play with (and put up with me)
Without suggesting any political hostilities, this is taken directly from Wikipedia regarding Bill Andrade:
Andrade resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bristol, Rhode Island, with his wife, Jody, and their children Cameron and Grace. Unusual for a professional golfer, he is also a Democrat
I'd much more prefer to be on the golf range or playing a round, but I need to hit the scaffolding (again). New patches of grass seed were watered this morning. Time to clean up shop and sling a paint brush.
[QUOTE=Vintage Chief;1487696]Jim - You belong to a wonderful club. I've only seen pictures. A friend I play with weekly (here) has played your course several times & enjoyed e:[/QUOTE)
thanks norm, 50 years ago when I joined it was peanuts to join. Today like every other thing elsein Atlanta it's crazy expensive.
I couldn't afford now. Nor if I could I wouldn't spend the money new members fork out. It's insane

Hi everyone.
Beautiful afternoon. Started out thundering and lightning and a big downpour. This morning at the Awful house I said, there's gonna come up a cloud. Everyone else just looked at me. Of course, the cloud was already there.
Welcome Palaka that's a beautiful car.
Sat kibitzing at my airport most of the morning, now I'm going to hit the computer and start looking for a car, again. The criteria isn't quite so critical anymore, since Mom has gotten so much better after surgery. I don't know what I'll come up with because like before, there isn't anything current that I like.
Well happy Saturday everyone. Rain comes back tomorrow.
