Otto that is a way cool car. I would love to have a Lakewood. But not do that to it.

Jamesbo, isn't the boathouse on a floating dock? Or is that just your floating dock?

Went to Walmart and I must have crossed into an alternate universe. Sparse on people, got up to the checkout just as someone was leaving and didn't wait at all to check out, was gone from the house no more than 40 minutes.

It started raining just as I got in the house, and now I'm hearing thunder. Severe storm warning for the area though I don't think we're getting severe storms here today.

Two week countdown until I leave for the 2021 RBC Heritage. Working Shotlink but can’t recall which hole - 10th Hole I think.
The problem with a finely tuned weed/grass trimmer is the notion I have to use it. I have too many shrubs and such - it takes me 4-5 hrs just to weed whack.

I'm working Hole #8 fairway, Thu, F & Sat. So, I'll be stationed near the tee-shot landing zone. It's one of the tougher holes @ Harbour Town should be entertaining.

Power outage last night from about 4:30 to 8:30. We were out anyway. No biggy... Went to the American Legion and picked up our winnings, we got $50.00in gift cards for some restaurants and a wall hanging for our $40.00. Our neighbors got $110.00 in cards for their $30.00. There wasn't a very good turn out. After AL neighbors and us went to local bar for beer and burger, but it was closed- no power. So went to another bar/restaurant- very slow but beers were good, unfortunately my wet burrito was lousy. I was really surprised- on their menu it said their "Famous Wet Burrito". It was just a frozen wrapped up pile of mystery bean/soy/beef byproducts, or whatever... With lettuce and tomato on top. Terrible, Waitress asked how everything was and I answered, didn't have to pay for it, but I didn't try to force it down either. When we got home with no electricity I made some soup out of a can on our gas range...then power came back on. Started putting away winter things and getting ready summer things yesterday. Then the wind whipped up out of the north- cold as hell and really strong, I'm sure that is what caused the outage, tree down most likely. No ice at all on lake, geese are back and must be really happy- honk,,honk ,honk! They sure are neat to watch but they poop like crazy!! Messy birds for sure....

Greg - Sorry to hear the AL event was not well attended, I'm assuming Covid fears had something to do with it, especially with infection rates climbing in Michigan again. I know exactly what you mean about the geese, the small lake I lived on growing up always had a small flock over the summer and my dad would get pretty aggravated with the mess they'd make in the yard.

Hi everyone.

I think I've loosened up enough to type. Got home from work and decided to mow the yard. I don't walk too well on uneven ground these days and being dragged around by a power mower and tripping over tree roots doesn't help. Sat down when I was done and couldn't move for an hour. Maybe it will be better next week.

So I'm at the inspection wheel this week. It's a short week so we're doing extra wheels each day to make up for being off Friday. That's okay, we're off Friday.

Been beautiful here all day. Makes me sorry I work in a giant concrete box with no windows. When I'm at my desk I can get up and walk around. I go down the hall to the roll up door that has a window in it. Inspection moves too quickly for me to just get away.

Okay bedtime. Hope everyone had a good start to their week. Have a good night everyone.

Good morning guys,

Busy chore day yesterday with bills, mowing, some bike maintenance, and helping my wife with some furniture stuff.

Nice today with a projected high of 71, but a cold front is supposed to move in tonight with a final taste of winter on Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low 40's and lows in the mid-20's. That should be it, I hope. I see the weatherman is projecting highs in the 70's for all of next week.

I'm excited that U of M has made it to the "Elite 8" in the NCAA basketball tournament. They play their game in that round tonight and if they win they're on to the "Final Four". They've done well in the tournament considering they lost their 2nd leading scorer during the 2nd to last game of the regular season due to a stress fracture in his leg. I'm also a big StL Cardinal baseball fan and excited about the MLB season starting. It always seems like Spring is really here when baseball starts.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi everyone.

Beautiful out all day and I came home and did squat. I knew I would before I left work. It was an unusually taxing day today. I had thought this morning that I'd do more mowing, but that idea went right out the window. Maybe I'll do better tomorrow.

Norm that's a cool mower. It's like the Roomba of yardwork. Not sure why if you were anywhere (else) in the world why you'd be worried about mowing. But I guess that's just some gee whiz stuff. GM used to say you could unlock your doors from anywhere in the world. At least anywhere your phone would work.

Winter returns for a couple days, along with some more rain. Kenneth those 80's are looking rather scrumptious. Maybe not the 90s. Although back when I was thin, I used to walk 4 miles every day. In the summer my favorite time to walk was about 330 in the afternoon.

Two down, two to go. I wish metallurgy would advance to the point where airplane wheels were lighter. Have a good evening everyone.

Depends upon where you are, I suppose. Here in Phoenix it can be over 110 at 330 in the afternoon during the middle of summer. That time of year I tend to hibernate in an air conditioned environment and avoid going outdoors if at all possible. Heck, I gotta walk the dogs at the crack of dawn before the pavement gets too hot for their paws, and it's mid-90s then.

UGH!!! I actually thought that last 3-pointer by their point guard Smith was gonna go down when he let it go, so close, and they just couldn't seal the deal!. Really a very disappointing 1st half, poor shots, poor strategy, only 23-points. Franz Wagner who has been one of their better players most of the season couldn't hit the broad side of a barn the whole tournament, and last night he just kept shooting even though he wasn't making squat. Oh well, it was great entertainment, we just came out on the short end of the stick, in the end every team loses except one.

Hi everyone.

Rain. It started raining when I left work and poured right after I got home. It's a nice temperature out, and some of the pollen is washed away. Hope it's nice this weekend at my Mom's so I can work outside.

Work was okay. We did 125 wheels, which is actually 250 pieces. The washer was broke for about 40 minutes and we were still done by 1. I hope we can finish early tomorrow so I can get on the road at a good time.

Jamesbo what are you doing tomorrow afternoon? Want to hop in the truck and show me a place in LaGrange? Nice place showed up yesterday, I texted my agent and she doesn't want to go that far to show me the place. Just call the listing agent she said and I'll write a contract if you need me to. So I called the listing agent and he said, you need a new agent! I agree. I'm afraid the place will be gone by the time I get down there, but I said, I'm looking all over that area, I'll call if I see something else and you can be my agent. He said he didn't want to step on any toes. I said no problem, my agent is no help whatsoever. I think this will finally be the straw. I've lost out on several places because she hasn't been available or had some issue.

Think I'll watch some TV then hit the sack early. I used to work 10 hour days and had three days off every week. That was nice. But I'll take what I can get. You guys have a good evening.

Hello Experts,
Installing new Rallye Pack gauges in my '70 Cutlass S. Question is on the Temperature and Oil sending units should I put Teflon tape on the threads going into the engine? They seem like brass fittings.

Mike - Plenty of bad agents out there, plenty of good ones too! You should have cut that "B" loose a long time ago, JMO! Hopefully James will represent you for listings near him. JMO again, in today's market if you really want to find a place, you need to be on it every day, and be ready to pull the trigger almost immediately. Good luck going forward!

Chris I was only teasing Jamesbo. He's way up there and I'm way down here, probably 100 miles or more between us. That place will probably be sold before I'd even have the chance to get down there, but that doesn't let my agent off the hook. Her unwillingness to help me, and the length of time she took to tell me she couldn't help me, has left me quite dismayed. I look at the listings about every 2 hours. Can't be more ready than that.

Rain has stopped and it's really cooling down. Supposed to be 50s the next few days and 20s at night. Hope it's warmer in Florida. What's left of the pollen is a sticky mess. I'll have to chisel it off the cars. Ah, such luxuries.

Wow, it’s 90 here and will be hotter the rest of the week. It was 79 in the house yesterday evening but a couple box fans and open windows brought it down to a reasonable temperature. One day very soon I will have to turn the AC on, then it won’t go off for 5 or 6 months. I’ll be fondly remembering when it was only in the 90s.

Mike - Sorry about that, I thought you and James were closer geographically than that, and you were serious. You're right, if you're checking the listings every couple of hours you can't be much more ready than that. Good luck and enjoy yourself at your Mom's!

1st Place in our 9 Hole Shootout again this week. I like making $$ playing golf.
1st Week = 2nd Place + 1 Skin
2nd Week = 1st Place + 2 Skins
3rd Week = 1st Place

We were all commenting on the yellow clouds today. The air was terrible w/ pollen. I walk 6 miles each day playing 18 in this stuff. Today is the first day I've really felt a headache from the pollen.

Good morning guys,
Chilly here this morning at 28, but sunny. Only supposed to reach a high of 48.

No real plans for today. Opening day of MLB season today which is exciting for me. My wife and I used to go to about 5 or 6 Cardinals games every summer, and really enjoy watching the games in person at the ballpark. Of course that didn't happen last summer. The best time was watching them at a 3-game weekend series with the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago 4 or 5 years ago. While we were there we did the Museums, Aquarium, and Waterfront attractions during the day, and went to the games in the evening. It was a great mini vacation!

There is what traditionally is one of the largest, if not the largest, St. Louis Car Shows scheduled for this coming Easter Sunday put on by the St. Louis Hot Rodder's Association that is going to happen. My buddy that has the nice 66 Vette asked me if I'd like to go with him. The weather's supposed to be really nice, but I'm not sure if I want to go because I haven't had my 2nd shot yet. I'm still thinking on it???

Hope everyone has a great day!

Wow, I like both those wagons, I'll bet the one for $3000 would cost more than the one for $13000 if restored to that condition. My Mom had a 63 Valiant when I was a kid, I loved it. Went out on dirt roads/trails yesterday with my buddy in my 06 Ford 3/4 ton. Actually rode some of the trails I have rode with the quad and snowmobile. It was quite a bouncy ride in that old Ford got totally turned around but didn't get stuck. It was fun. Surprised to see a skiff of snow this morning, not really any accumulation but has turned the rooftops white. Have a good one guys!

Norm - Thanks for correcting me. Duh, where was my brain at, we didn’t go to Boston??? I am having more and more senior moments!

Hey, while I have your attention, I'm obviously getting pretty dense, but are your 2 posts about the 64 Valiant station wagon a joke or scam, the link in both cases is taking me to the same car, located in the same city???
