I can't do that level of heat. I was in San Antonio last Aug. It was 106 and I was not liking it very much. We'd go get dinner at 8 or so, and it was still hot. Funny thing is, I think, within a 6 month period, that I have been the hottest, 106, and the coldest, -19, of my forty some years that I remember.

Dan - That is a nice looking Starfire, and looks to be in great shape from the few pics. Sending you a PM about it. Thanks for posting the pics!

Strange, my post from earlier today didn’t go through ???

I had posted that I mowed the grass this morning and it was hot - already 92 degrees at 8 am. It’s gonna get 20 degrees hotter by this afternoon.

Golf @ my club tomorrow @ 12:00 noon, golf tournament Tuesday morning @ 9:30 am. Spent majority of day cleaning out another section of ditch (chainsaw in hand). Too hot to work outdoors. I'm done.

Hi everyone Happy Father's Day.

Actually haven't done much. Attended the lunacy of Walmart, then hung the curtains in the guest bedroom. I think that's actually the last thing. Now it is Mom's turn to do whatever.

Norm I haven't gotten the stove out yet. That won't be a fun job. It will probably come out when I get to the floor. I wonder if the floor will level out once that heavy thing is off it.

Short week this week, I took Friday off. I had also taken Wednesday and Thursday off, anticipating going up to my homeland. But I couldn't get the dog into jail so we're not going. Later in the summer perhaps.

Okay time to settle in and get ready for bed. Hope everyone has a good evening and starts the week off well.

Hoping it concludes before we have to leave for my daughter's place at 5:50 our time. If it goes to a playoff I'll have to keep track on my phone.

Stung big time.

Rory conducted no interviews & spoke to no one. Signed his card, dropped off his card, packed the Lexus & immediately departed the facility - not an utterance to anyone.

No mistake there existed some rivalry by the fans, as well. Bryson is on the LIV tour, Rory is on the PGA Tour. Rory has been an outspoken ambassador for PGA. Rory's been blindsided a couple times by PGA commissioner Jay Monahan. It's interesting seeing how the fans react(ed) & perhaps some of the players, as well. I personally don't care for Jay Monahan & I've never been a big fan of PGATour as an organization.

Norm - I have to be honest, I didn't follow the political nuances of the PGA vs. LIV tour thing very closely. When it all started, I remember my first thought was that I hoped the big injection of capital from the Saudi's for the LIV didn't damage the quality of tournaments we were used to seeing here in the U.S.? I don't know how that aspect has played out so far? I also don't have any real knowledge of Monahan and his leadership of the PGA. Guess what I trying to say is that I haven't followed the whole situation closely enough to make intelligent judgements of what's going on.

Heck, we should be able to post a few thousand pages in no time.
So the original good morning thread was not lost to cyber space, it was actually archived on an archive website.
The whole website was backed up on Nov 25, 2010
You can find and read the original "Good morning Thread" Here
https://web.archive.org/web/20101125...ning-post.html
It has from post #1 posted on January, 12th, 2010 @ 08:11 am. by 1ATony
and it goes to Page 69 with final Post #2760 on November 23, 2010 @ 08:28 am by Citcapp
Since it was backed up in November it is missing the posts from November 2010 to when it was deleted in January 2011.
There might be a way for one of the administrators of this site to contact the web archive and maybe be able to get the files and reload them here.

Oh and by the way it took 11 years to get to 1000 pages on the New Good Morning Thread.

Good morning everyone.

Regular time for me today, Mom has the cable guy coming over and she didn't want the dog to be there and eat him. So he stayed at home, and I didn't want him to be there two extra hours without going out, so 6 it is for me today. Also brought the SRX in so I can have the emission test done this afternoon and then go get all my license plates. That will be fun.

Thanks Cutlass Guy for finding that. Now I have something to do besides my work. Now I get to see what all the fuss is about. Since Jamesbo won't post anymore I still get to see his worldly wisdom. Actually, I can't blame him one bit.

Looks like the early people stepped up this morning. Hope it's an easy day. I say easy. I sit at a desk and do data entry. Never would I have guessed this is where my career would take me. Eh, I don't mind. It was getting too burdensome crawling on the floor, getting between seats, scrunching into itty bitty spaces in the airplane.

Okay have a good Tuesday everyone. My day is about to begin.

Sent 64 pages of complaints and attachments to HR yesterday. 12,000 original words before attachments. Sent it to the manager of the hr person I had beef with after confirming she would receive it. She denied my two immediate requests, which is being excused from speaking in meetings to avoid further persecution and to have the written warning stayed. She did say the written warning would be investigated.

She punted the whole thing to corporate investigations and they will get ahold of me. I am going to decline any meetings and do all this over emails, which will be retained and give me more time to think about my answers.

Jamesbo you say you have nothing interesting to share?

If of thy mortal goods thou art bereft,
And from thy slender store
Two loaves alone to thee are left,
Sell one, and with the dole,
Buy hyacinths to feed thy soul."

Spent most of the day idle, as my robot has gone tango uniform. Plant Maintenance has it all tore apart and have bewildered looks on their faces. My wall guy gets a wheel here and there, but it's funny. These guys would rather sit around and talk than do their work, but let someone try to take one of their wheels oh mama.

Just walked past the roll up door. It's nice out. After work I need to take the SRX to the emission place and then it's to the tag office to get all my tags. Should get out under $200 this time around.

I've read 18 pages of the archived Good Morning Thread. Again, there seems to be some posts missing here and there. Also, when did the Colonel start showing up?

Wouldn't you know it, the day I need to get done and get out, we'll stay till the end because the lead will have his little hissy fit that we didn't finish. Oh I don't know, having 30 year old machinery that has patches on top of patches shouldn't slow down the operation when it breaks.

That might be a good thing as your complaint is in the larger system and can't be ignored or covered up by the locals.

Unfortunately, HR has one function - protecting the company from employees like you. If someone in HR says it would/will be investigated - that's B.S. Chances are if they get hold of you it will be to deliver a pink slip. About your only prayer in hell is hoping they wrongfully fire you & you can find a lawyer to file suit against them. When HR says they'll investigate that's like asking the police department to investigate themselves - of course they did nothing wrong and they will do one thing - protect themselves (from employees like you).

I don't completely agree with you Norm. At my work, whoever gets to HR first wins. If there is a problem and the employee calls first, then the company is automatically wrong and that's the way things go. If the manager calls first, then the employee is wrong. Like some twisted game.

I was right, we got out right at the end. The lead didn't say much, just that we should all come in early because we needed to do better tomorrow. That, of course, all depends on if Plant Maintenance gets the thing fixed today.

John good luck with all that. If they insist on meeting in person, you could clip a GoPro to your shirt collar. I'm pretty sure whoever wins or loses in this deal, the company will be sorry HR got involved.

Everything went well with the SRX this afternoon and I got out of the tag office for 275. I had forgotten that I wanted to reregister my big trailer, and I didn't have a sheet for it since I didn't register it last year. That one alone is like 70 bucks. I'll put all the stickers on this weekend. Also, Tiger was fine being home all day by himself. I knew he would be, but I still worry about him. Mom got her TV fixed so he can go to her house tomorrow.

Jim - You will always have something interesting to say to us, just because you're you. Do what you feel up to based on how you're feeling, but just know we all miss your thoughts and words of wisdom!

John - In all my years of Contract Management and Supervision the most important thing I learned were the 3 D's, Document, Document, Document. It sounds like you have, and are continuing to do that, which is a great thing. When the powers at be are faced with that level of documentation, I'm betting they'll be stupefied and trembling. Stay the course!

Norm - How'd the tourney shake out?

Had a nice lunch and a few cold ones with my buddy who owns the '66 Vette and 2 other guys I worked with who I hadn't seen in +6-years. We all had a very nice time catching up.

I've struck up an online friendship with a guy who's posted on CO and owns a '67 Cutlass Supreme. He also own's 20 other classic cars and some classic motorcycles. He lives in the UK. I'm waiting on a formal invite to go see his collection.

Hope everyone had a great day!
