The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
Having been involved with several professional peer reviewed journals/pubs over the years I can relate to frustrations with editing s/w. JournalsPubs often use proprietary s/w & managing both text & graphics can be a bitch among numerous publications. Argh. Some s/w works great for many styles, some can communicate cross-platform others don’t even recognize the code. Can be a nightmare.
I wonder if Ray is in Florida? This system is really big and the frontal boundary is really long. Good luck, Ray.
Put the truck to bed in the man-cave, porch furniture & chairs turned down on their sides, winds are picking up significantly - I guess ~30mph steady w/ gusts ~40mph - 45mph. This swash buckler should arrive ~7pm - 8pm.

John - Sounds like you've been hitting it pretty hard. The style/artwork you described for this issue sounds pretty sharp! I hope it all comes together for you. I can definitely relate to things getting complicated when trying to integrate a variety of content created via different S/W, things can get pretty dicey. Good luck wrapping it up!
We got 10 inches they say on the weather. I think more like 8. Very heavy and wet. Took most the morning snow blowing, shoveling and plowing. Actually a enjoyable time- no rush- no breakdowns, etc.
Greg - That's a fair amount of snow. Glad you have the equipment to handle it without killing yourself! The snowblower I went halves on with my neighbor across the street has not been started yet this season. Maybe I'll get lucky again this year and never use it. I didn't use it once last year, and my neighbor only used it 1 time.
Norm, during the championship game on Monday, I saw a preview for The Masters of The Air. looks good. They are now forecasting a blizzard for this weekend, we'll see how that prediction pans out. I'll see how much that forecast changes in about 30 minutes when the local news comes on. Got about 5" on the ground right now. Forgot to put my snow gauge out.
Well, as we get closer the original 1-9" forecast of snow is now 5+. We will see. Its no good, I just had to put my work truck in the shop for a sidewall blowout and oil change and inspection. Apparently the limit of the transfer case in a trailblazer is somewhere under 364,400 miles. At least this trailblazer. It's been driving fine, but I would hear some noise after being in 4 hi or low and going back to auto, but in 2wd, most but not all of the noise went away. It doesn't make sense to fix it to me. I wonder if a transfer case is even readily available for 08..
Well, now if it snows and I have to go into work I will be in my civic. I may ask the shop just to put a tire on it, change the oil and give it back to me.
Does anyone have experience with the Cummins/Onan NatGas home standby generators? We use a lot of generac and they hold up, but im seeing a cummins that's quieter and cheaper....
hope all survive this next round of weather and the last

(2) Be bought a home in Jupiter in essentially Golfer Paradise next to Justin Thomas;
(3) Both Nick & his wife are very close & deeply embedded in managing charitable foundations;
(4) I see Nick as a person who looks forward to “retiring” and for Nick, continuation of coaching is NOT retiring.

That took longer than I thought. Looks like I have another night needed to make the newsletter. Layout takes a long time. I find I can't do rough layout of text and pictures, then do the proofing pass in the same session; the noodle needs a break.
Good news is the article I thought was going to be two pages needs three; this means I can bump the printing of the bylaws to next issue and use its page spot for the third page. I'll just save the freshly formatted, underlined, spaced, indented, bulleted, spell-checked, style-checked bylaws update for next time. It's amazing how poorly done digital documents can get to be after enough time and man-handling.
Doing some travel this weekend. There is a storm coming through that day, but, weather says it will be raining, not snowing, and will be above 40 degrees until about when I get there. I should get there about the time it turns to snow and the temperature drops. With the ground being above freezing for a solid day before that time, I should be ice free the whole way. Wind and rain do not bother this Floridian, I was born in a cross-fire hurricane, as the song goes, but I am careful with snow and I loathe ice.

Wifey is moving right out on the interior painting, she's got a $hit-ton done! At least she's letting me do a little to help her now, moving heavy furniture, moving the heavy ladder, and holding/steadying the ladder when she's up on the highest rungs. Not much, I'm just taking orders from The Boss. What a gal, she does a great job!
Jamesbo in the archives I just hit the point where we lost her. That picture was from the obituary slide show and I can't believe they still have it up these many years later.
60 and sunny, so says the computer. So I had to take a walk down to the roll up door to see for myself. This is sure a bonus day in the middle of winter. Actually we aren't even a month into winter
Finished our work before lunch, so we've been sitting. The worker bees have continued and we have probably 75 wheels ready to be signed for tomorrow. We should be done in jig time tomorrow.

As soon as I sent that message the lead came up and we went home. He made a big deal about starting at our usual time tomorrow(6am) so I suspect we'll be there until 2 tomorrow. And if I were a betting man I'd say the lead won't even be there tomorrow. Which will be fine because then we'll leave early.
Beautiful, beautiful day today. Over 60. Had to take Mom to the doctor or I would have been doing something outside. Supposed to be nice over the weekend so maybe I'll get something done. All these years I've been saying here that I'm trying to do things, and I never do. Eh, why do today what I can put off until tomorrow.
Chris that ladder arrangement looks like it will appear on the Humor thread soon. There are plenty of places like that in both my houses where I'll have to get creative to reach.
