The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
Went to sleep/bed w/ a growling stomach last night. Awoke @ 12:00AM hugging the porcelain goddess. It was wretched. Absolutely exhausted this morning. Ate at a favorite greasy spoon for breakfast yesterday - about the only place I think I could have caught something.
Norm, getting the heaves is not something fun. Previously to this spring, I hadn't heaved in 5 years, then five years before that. I had a wicked migraine with sinus effects, got up, went to get headache pills, and heaved instead. This cleared the sinuses.
Hope you improve steadily.
My daily driver has had a steadily failing clutch system for about the past two and half years. It was so bad recently that it would die in gear with clutch to the floor at a stop, and I have had to float shift like a mo fo. Makes me a better driver. I had thought the pedal assembly had gone loose on the bushings. Today I broke the clevis jam nut loose and backed it out several turns, about halfway to falling off, then tightened the jam nut. I now have a clutch again; it will start easily in gear with clutch in, coast to a stop in gear with clutch in, can be shifted to first or reverse while running and at a stop, and shifts marvelously. This, by no means, is permanent fix, but it may buy me a few months to prepare to take the car offline for a weekend to fix it.
First step on that last was I cleaned up the storage stall next to the 442 to put my van in last evening. I will move it there, move the Monte Carlo to where the van is now, then I will have a garage stall for the truck and for projects for this fall and winter. Other side of that garage is my hangar queen Tahoe, which I need to replace fuel pump in and do lots of things to get it running. Then maybe the truck can go offline in peace for fixes.
Hope you improve steadily.

Guy was sposta come up tomorrow to see Olds. He emailed yesterday and wanted to reschedule. I told him earlier I wanted to wait until spring. I responded to his email I really want to wait and for him to call me in March. We'll see... I have to start putting everything away including Olds soon.

Norn, The only time in my life I ever called a hotel doctor was when I [stupidly] ate some chinese food from a street vender in the Big Easy , The next day I missed the King Tut exhibit. I learned later [too late] that Sugar bowl players were strictly warned not to eat Takie Outie

Jim - That sounds miserable. During my life as a used piece of jet trash there were a couple occasions I caught a miserable sinus infection while residing in a hotel but never a gastroenteritis event. I do not miss flying every single week.
I thought it was tomorrow. I need to go take sum dog leg pics. These tire kickers are driving me crazy . Sometimes I wonder if BAD Andy hangs on BAT. Im not sure I would try this venue again. Every keyboard junkie wants different pics but doesn't bid

Hi guys,
Saw a number today I thought I'd never see again, I got my weight down to below 165, 164.4 lbs. This is down 17.6 lbs. since 2020. Long time coming, but I'm pretty damn proud of myself. Now, next order of business is keeping it there thru the Holidays and the Winter. That will be tough!

Good work Chris, Don't forget to keep sum rocks in your pockets on windy days Remember what my dear old mother used to say Its not what ya eat between Thanksgiving and New Years day, Its what ya eat between New Years day and Thanksgiving

Chris - Tough to say. It was not influenza. The ONLY definitive method of determining what it was is via lab culturing. Since I did not seek medical attention, for which they most likely would NOT have performed a lab culture unless I absolutely insisted, that time period has elapsed.
Thanks Jim! Definitely not trying to lose anymore, just want to maintain going forward. Your Mom was obviously a wise woman!
Six hours remain for Jim's BaT VC. Anticipation building. It's bubble gum sticking to the rail, lettuce by a head, pants on the outside, undies on the inside, toilet paper bringing up the rear....
Go Jim!

I believe BaT lists the advertisement as NO RESERVE for vehicles which have NO RESERVE. All other auction vehicles will have a RESERVE unless identified as NO RESERVE. (I think)
