Jim - Not trying to be a smart-***, and I may be remembering this wrong, but didn't you buy a JD trailer not too long ago that you were going to use for that?

John - You beat me to it. The other thought is to make your own - there are plenty of companies who sell angle iron, axles, braces, brackets, etc. Maybe take a day and rummage some salvage yards, as well.

Chris, No I bought a dump trailer to reuse sod. In this heat, Iven been watering trees every other day [if it doesn't rain] Now, I've got my 500 gallon tote on my mower trailer and its a little big. I have been relying of gravity but I'm thinking about a pump

Jim - Thanks for the refresh on my more frequently failing memory, I remember now! I hope you can find a cost effective solution to haul the water.

The biggest issue is that's a $hitload of weight to haul on a small trailer platform - filled to capacity that's 4250 lbs of water alone. Obviously, you don't have to fill to capacity; yet, that's a significant demand for most trailers.

Something like this would be ideal, eh. Plenty of room to accommodate the pump, too.

We're getting a break from the heat and entering a stretch of very nice weather today thru Monday with highs of 79° - 82°, humidity around 60%, and primarily sunshine. I will be able to remember what a Michigan summer day feels like.

Hi everyone.

I tell you what, for starting the week late it sure has drug on. And still one more to go. The jury is still out on working over the weekend. The lead said there won't be any tires. Hm.

Got back from lunch a little while ago. Beautiful out. Sunny now but rain later. I wouldn't mind not working this weekend if it didn't rain. I got lots and lots to do. A place I found to align the pickup doesn't take appointments, it's first come first served for alignments, so I'm going to be there when they open on Monday, I can feel that it will be an all day affair. That won't help.

My wall guy took a powder and I got stuck with a guy I don't like. He's training a girl to be wall guy. So far she's doing a decent job.

Okay have a good day everyone.

Jim, while I am no expert on trailers, I wonder if you can swap out your existing axle for one with a heavier rating, and still use the same trailer box?

Part of the problem is this is a very short t
erm PITA. We ( when it doesn't rain ) water every other day. This is the reason I have to watch my $$# and not spend 5k + on a water wagon

Jim - This is supposed to be a "natural" burial site type of cemetery right? Are you obligated by contract to water "memory" trees or are you just doing it out of the goodness of your heart? I used to work landscaping at a combo Nursery/Landscaping company and it takes some really severe drought to kill a tree. Could it be possible you're being overly concerned about these trees? I honestly don't know the answer, just trying to expose all the angles.

I presume these trees are saplings (to a degree) since you wouldn't have a need to water a mature tree.

The issue w/ saplings is they'll fall over on themselves (w/o enough H2O) and snap off ~1/2 way up the main trunk.

Norm is correct They are younger trees, The biggest problem is the deer tear them up and or eat them . It really was a great idea that people love that turned into a bad idea when too many people wanted them and they began to get in the way of equipment [open and closing] So I have put a stop to it but don't want to neglect any still out there 50 + white dogwoods

Chris, "Green" or Natural are very subjective ideas. Some people think we aren't green enough because we don't dig the gave by hand These are the same people who plant a trillium on their Natural graves [ I would call that gardening not natural]

Jim - I understand your predicament, but after 2, or 3 seasons at the most, they should be established, rooted, and be able to make it on their own. As for the deer, they'll continue to be a constant pest, unless ya want me to come and stick em for ya?

Are you talking about the trailer Keith posted? Primarily it's because you'll note there exists zero, nada, zilch, no suspension whatsoever - none.

I've lost 4 since 2020. Seems some trees don't like extended 115º heat.
