I also boil mine in water first mainly to release much of the extra grease, then brown them on the charcoal grill or on the George Foreman.

I guess so; although, I've seen it at restaurants served with a jam. Big Bill (William) Lipinski & his wife (Anne) were wonderful lifelong friends w/ my parents. Bill & Anne made their own handmade Kielbasa. I recall how fascinated I was watching them when I was a tiny dude. They had one of those sausage making machines - I was like mesmerized at 4 - 5 years of age.

Personally, I've found anytime I make any recipe w/ pork, I always boil the pork before using it in any recipe because it tenderizes the meat - especially pork ribs.

I've never owned a George Foreman. I recall when he began advertising them (1993) in infomercials. I knew a couple people who owned one or two.

Here's a classic I haven't made or consumed in a very, very long time which I really enjoy. Thinly sliced cucumbers & thinly sliced onions marinated in sugar + water O.N. in the refrigerator.

I am enjoying watching Jacques Pepin's short cooking videos. He did onion sandwiches and radish sandwiches.

Had a great time at Keegan's first game of his baseball season. So, what's the perfect complimentary baseball position for a hockey goalie? Not too hard for you to guess probably. He played great, even catching a pop-up behind him near the screen. He hit well too, going 3 for 3, with a double.

Good morning everyone.

Another typical Friday. Skeleton crew and no one is doing anything. It's gonna be a long day.

The hangar over at my shop is run down and crappy. I'd love to take it down and then reassemble it in my side yard at my house. I'm afraid that would cost more than having a new building built.

Jamesbo I've seen those shirts but I don't have one. There's another one that's more accurate. Marry Me Fly Free Standby.

Greg did you see the wagon?

I think my focus this weekend will be to get some tires and rims out of the crawlspace at Mom's. They've been in there so long I don't really remember what's there. I do know there's a pair of tires for a Gamma Goat. I got them because they are the same size as the DUKW. I think I brought them over from the other house so I've had them 20 years at least. And they were old and sucked when I got them.

Guess I'll go find a snack. Nothing is going to be happening here for awhile. Hope everyone has a good day.

Mike - I was not familiar with the model named "Gamma Goat" so I looked it up. After seeing a pic I immediately recognized it from Vietnam era war movies. I've never seen one in person though. Good luck getting them and other tires/wheels out of the crawlspace. I'm also curious about the Chevy Wagon Greg was going to go look at? Hope you have a great weekend!

Passed on the wagon- should have known better- This is the 2nd old car I have passed on in the last 6 months, 1st one was a '65 442 'vert. The wagon was repainted and very friendly... as in it waved at you as it goes by... A old patina car is one thing but a shiny, newly painted car that looks like **** I don't want, It would have to be redone. I would be embarrassed of it as is.

I hit the ball well, today. Cool weather w/ wind wasn't so nice. Supposed to have Member-Member golf tournament Sat. & Sun. Rain tomorrow, tournament reduced to one day (Sunday), now. Shotgun 9am.
Y'all talking about Bratwurst I stopped @ grocery store & picked up a pack of Original Johnsonvllle Brats & a pack of fresh Pepperidge Farm Sesame Hoagie Rolls. I steam my Hoagie Rolls since I like them to melt in my mouth. I already have a fresh jar of Sauerkraut and several brands of yellow mustard.

Mike - Watch out for Mr. No Shoulders in the crawlspace.

The house is too far from the lake or the woods for snakes to get in. Turns out I didn't get any wheels out of the crawlspace today anyway. The cable guy was on his way when I got there and I sat around listening to him pontificate about what was wrong and how he fixed it. That's fine, as long as it's fixed. When he left it was time for dinner, and I don't do anything after dinner.

Too bad about the wagon Greg. Something else will come along. I don't think I remember the 65, what was wrong with it? Hard to miss with a convertible.

The trouble with the Gamma Goat tires is that while they are the same size as DUKW tires, they are only 6 ply and the DUKW tires are 10 ply. So technically they are not strong enough. When a good source for tires was not available, people used Goat tires because they fit, and I don't think there were a lot of problems. Then for a long time a guy out of Dallas TX would take orders and about once a year have a batch of DUKW tires made. He has since gone out of business.

Well I'm beat. Three o'clock was a long time ago. Have a good evening everyone.

Mike, yeah I didn't say anything about the 442, as it was advertised here on CO. It was way to much for me....
