Good morning everyone.

Sort of a casual morning here at work. Don't have a lot done, but we're busy. Hm. My robot guy must have a bee in his bonnet about something because he's let slide some bonehead mistakes. Eh, we all have off days.

Chis hope Maggie is feeling better this morning. Tough to get a dog to lose weight. They don't understand when the usual treats stop coming. Excercise is a Catch 22. Your knees are bad so you can't excercise, but you need to excercise to lose weight so your knees aren't bad.

Greg I've always like those wheels. Do you have centercaps for them? These are for the old Ford?

Norm hope the truck is fixed now, and stays fixed. Did you get a complete rundown of what all was done?

I've been thinking about my dad's last car lately. 1981 Cutlass Supreme two door, blue with half padded vinyl roof, pillow top seats. Very pretty. Alas it wasn't actually his and when he died the company came and took it back. The boss told Mom if she needed a car he'd make it so we could keep it. Mom was all, oh no, I couldn't bear to see it without him here... with the arm on the forehead. Geez Mom, it's a free car. I needed a car as I had just gotten my drivers license. Nope. So I've always wanted to get a car just like it. Heck as long as it had blue pillow top interior I could paint it. G Body Cutlass Supremes used to be a dime a dozen, but any more they are rare as hen's teeth. Maybe I'll do some looking around.

Gotta take Mom to the doctor after work. Again. Twice in the same week is pushing it. She says that's it for awhile. We'll see.

Almost lunch. Have a good day everyone.

Mike - Thanks. The massive oil leak was (as I suspected) the ICP sensor/valve - poorly constructed part. Replaced a couple other items, as well (for which I have a rundown). Fingers crossed, but it should be fine.

I'm still going to purchase another vehicle (car) & retire the tractor to a local runabout farm truck. It's a process of managing my $$ for the purchase, at the moment. I have an ex-dividend date of June 1 for a bountiful amount of shares which pay a significant dividend (June 15). So, I'm going to hold off until June 1st in order to make the ex-dividend date to capture the full dividend yield.

Mike - I think Maggie may be a little better this morning, kinda hard to tell yet as she hasn't shown an interest yet in wanting to go out to potty. With her condition, I can't just let her go down to the backyard via the stairs off the deck, or down the interior steps to the basement and out the back. Right now we're putting her walking harness on her and taking her out the front door to let her do her business. You're exactly correct about being caught in a "Catch 22" in regard to the losing weight part of the equation.

Sad story about the car, I'm so sorry you lost your Dad at such a young age, I'm sure that was very tough on you all. I'm sure you would enjoy a Cutlass like he had if you can find the right one. I lost my Dad in my early 30's and my biggest regret was that my daughters never really knew him, my oldest was only 2 and my youngest just an infant when he passed.

Good morning guys,

Just plain chilly for this time of year here. It was still only 48° at 0900, and is only suppossed to get into the low 60`s. It rained on and off most of the day yesterday, and then steady all evening late into the night, still raining steady when I went to bed after midnight. It's supposed to be dry today, but there's more precipitation in the forecast Friday. I'm going to need to get out and mow the backyard this afternoon that I didn't get done on Monday when it started raining. Man it has been a wet Spring here!

Luckily tomorrow is suppossed to be dry because Keegan's Elementary School is supposed to have their Annual Field Day where all the kids enter various events like Tug-of-Wars, Sack Races, Relay Races, etc. The event is open to family spectators and my daughter will be there, and Dawn and I are going. It is being held on the Highschool Football Field which has artificial turf so they won't have to worry about a wet, muddy field. We will also have bleachers to sit on.

I'm planning on going to another judged car show this coming Saturday if the weather will cooperate. Right now it's looking iffy?

Hope everyone has a great day! 😃

Thanks Chris. You know I still have the little cover that goes over the lock on one of the spoked hubcaps. My dad's friend, who also worked for the company, came to our house to pick up the car. Before he left I said hold on a minute, and I reached down and pryed the little cover off the left front wheel. He said you can take all four. I said nope, this will do. He drove the car to O'Hare and left it in the parking garage and flew back to St. Louis where he lived. A few years later I tried to research where the car went, and all I could find out was that it sat at O'Hare for a couple months, then someone retrieved it and took it to Louisville Auto Auction. That's as far as I could ever get. I still have the VIN number, but it always comes up blank. That was 43 years ago, I'm sure that car has long since been turned into rebar.

Norm get you something nice. Get something old enough so it doesn't have debilitationg computers in it. Go talk to Wet Pants maybe she'll let you borrow the convertible.

I'm not even slightly concerned about purchasing a (select) motor vehicle wired to the max w/ a labyrinth of wires, sensors, computers & no ashtrays. Bring it.

You've got yourself a real Borgasmord there! Looks good though. Dawn made something much simpler, Spaghetti with Prego sauce with a bunch of browned ground beef added, and Garlic Bread.

Believe it or not, I ate so much I couldn't have ate any dessert even if she had made one. I can see myself snacking on a whole bunch of Peanut M&M's though while I'm watching hockey later.

Congratulations Chris! Many happy returns of the day for you and Dawn.

Hi everyone.

We've hit a lull in production. The buildup team doesn't have any grease for the tie bolts, and the mechanics are quickly running out of envelopes for the paperwork and zipties to attach it to the wheel. We've been ordering this stuff for days and are keep being told, it's out of stock. Talk about setting us up to fail.

Rain overnight and this morning. But we didn't get huge thunderstorms like everyone said. so I'll have to find something to do inside after work today. Well, that I want to do. I got plenty to do for sure.

Hope Maggie is doing better today. Are you giving her Rimadyl(sp) for pain? From what I've read that stuff is a short term remedy. I've seen where it's used for long term aid but will cause internal problems.

Guess I'll go for a walk. Doesn't look like any wheels are coming soon. Hope everyone has a good day.

Wifey calls that a "sumgulian"- she makes a mixture of left overs- and maybe with new noodles and call it sumgulion- and 95% its great, sometimes not so much...

Guys, wheel are going on '56, I took these pics after trying them on with the big tires- they are too big and absolutely junk- weatherchecked, looks like wheels are ET's. I was planning on using my tires on them, but after looking at those tires they are getting worn- we'll see. I also need correct lug nuts and caps. Chris, Congrats to you and Dawn- try to see the Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial- I saw when I was over there in the Navy. Very emotional, nuff said no politics

Thanks Mike!

Maggie is doing quite a bit better, but this morning Monty came up lame. I'm not kidding, you can't make this $hit up. Dawn said when it was time for her and the dogs to come to bed last night she heard a louder than normal thud when Monty jumped down from the couch, and was then limping. We don't know if he tripped or slipped trying to get down? We'll give it a day or 2 but we might have to take him to the Vet if he doesn't improve. Maggie is on Gabepentin for pain and Carprofen for inflammation. I'm not sure about the spelling on those? Right now they're sharing meds.

Greg - The wheels look nice on the truck.

Thanks for the congrats. When we were in Honolulu for 4-days, in addition to the Battleship tour we went to the Arizona Memorial, the National Cemetary, a dinner Cruise, and an actual dive on the Atlantis Submarine. After Honolulu we went to the island of Kauai for 7-days. That island is the single prettiest place I've ever seen in person.

Remadyl is a brand name of carprofen. I know as sure as I'm sitting here that I read that Remadyl is bad long term, but now I see it's supposed to be okay. Although, I also read that Permathrin is poisonous to dogs and now it says it isn't. So who the hell knows. As with any medicine, use it as little as possible. I'm glad Maggie is doing better. Monty was just feeling left out.

So it's stopped raining, at least at the airport, so I wonder what I can get into at home. Maybe I'll just take a nap.

Greg the wheels look good.
