Movies today are daring and try to push the envelope; but for pure raw humor, nothing could ever be made like that nowadays, for better or worse.

My personal favorite is when Taggart encounters a tollgate in the middle of the dessert and isn't smart enough to steer his horse around it.... then...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071230/quotes?qt=qt0511683

Or how about: "What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin' on?"

They don't make 'em like that anymore. Golly... think of all those dead people; poor Slim's been dead for almost 30 years; not to mention:

Cleavon Little
Harvey Korman
Madeline Kahn
Alex Karras

They all sure gave me a laugh I'll never forget.

Morning All!

It's cloudy here and in the 60's. We didn't get a drop of rain last night, it all went around us. So we had a beautiful evening at Bellacino's. Forgot my camera to download the pics.

I watered my little garden this morning. I just don't think we're gonna get any rain today either. Who knows....

Well it's Friday, thank God. The week went pretty fast. Clay will be back Monday. I love the peaches in Brian's desk drawer, lol. But... I've already thrown them away. They smelled pretty rancid in the box.

I loved Blazing Sadles, lol. I'm not good at remembering the lines and such though. That was a funny movie. I love the "I'm so tired... tired of being desired.. tired of love uninspired" song.

Well you all have a great Friday when ya get up and about, lol!!

Good Friday Mawnin All

Where is everybody this morning?

Blazin Saddles was definitely a hilarious movie for sure A bit too much raunchy humor for the little one's though. Still a classic though. Wow did I just call something that's younger than me a classic?

Good morning everyone.

I haven't watched blazing saddles in while. I'll have to watch for it. Airplane too.

Well, after having been so hot and dry for so long, the temperature is dropping and it has rained rained most days the last couple of weeks. Perfect timing since I finally have the Cutlass running well and not overheating.

Allan, curling already?

Sandy, at least you are getting to enjoy some of the peaches and good that you tried Scot.

Dan, any openings for a junior engineer there?

I''ll see if I can improve my attendance from now on.

Good morning everyone.

Not a bad night, finished my plane around 3, then had to sit in on another plane, one that I wasn't qualified to flush the lav on. Got out around 730. Tonight is Friday, yay.

Today is my dogs' birthday. Actually I have no idea when their birthday is, but it was this day three years ago that I got them, so that was the beginning to their new life. They are 7. Today is also my Mom's birthday. She is more than 7.

I've never seen Blazing Saddles. Maybe parts of it. Is that the one where Slim gets taken hostage by the japanese and he gets a compass in his crackerjacks and swallows it? Paul I love Airplane! and have seen that one a number of times.

Gonna hit the sack now. I'm tired and I think I'm coming down with something. I think I'll have some Nyquil, which will make me very zombie-ish when the dogs come to wake me up during the day. Maybe I'll give them some, too.

See you guys later. Strange that Jamesbo hasn't chimed in by now.

Thanks for the heads up but right now it is not in the budget.
My Daily Driver needs an escort and the annual inspection registration - will run me about 230 then the burban needs a new AC compressor / recharge O2 Sensor and repaired exhaust leak..

it will be next spring before I buy anything at this point.

That and I am still recovering from my trip to yellowstone last week (where I discovered the failed AC on the Burban)

You took the quote right out of my keyboard...

Was just going to respond to Sandy w/ that one, Jamesbo.
"It's twoo! It's twoo!" Madeline hit that one out the ballpark.

Never saw Harold & Maude; I remember the commercials for it way back when, though; seems it was a midnight movie (when those were popular) for a long time somewhere down here.

Watched High Anxiety a month or so ago; it was pretty funny, but not in the same league as B.S. (appropriate initials) or a Young Frankenstein.

Mike, are you an aircraft mechanic? Some of catch on slow.... last year, I thought you worked at Awful House, slingin' hash & pressin' awfuls.
Wish the puppies a happy birthday for us.... and speaking of birthdays, today's feature, straight from Ronin, is:
Bobby De Niro. Happy 69th, Sam.

Cow visited yesterday, and is supposed to be with us throughout the weekend. No crusin' w/ top down this weekend.
Y'all have a great one, oldsmofriends.

TGIF Day!

Looking absolutely magnitudinously magificent up here today. Now dat's a mouthful. Nice blue skies, gentle breeze, high later on around 84°. The zuchini and maters are just loving it! Don't like the high humidity though.

There's a utility corridor (read greenspace) about 150' feet from our place. The city planted it with grass, shrubs and trees back in 1985 and put in a paved walking path and lighting. Very nice to walk down there. Lately the trees have been branching out into the walkway though. Well today the mtce crew hit the area and it was chain saws and chipper going full blast for the last hour or so. The did a nice job. The canopy is still there, just the under brumble is cleaned up a lot.

Sandy - Brian must not bug you as much as you say if you never thought of doing that with the peaches..

Dan - I looked up Alcoa job opportunities in Canada. Guess what? They have English/French on the menu. I chose English. Got French anyway. I think they only want people in QC that speak da Frenchwase??

Jamesbo - Sum of dem dat are educmacated beyonds der intelgince seems ta be goin to de unyvercities.... Aks me how I nose dis. I once used dat line on a uny student who dint have a clue whut it ment. An NO, I wouldn't tell them shyte about whut they could hit wit dat back hoe. Prolly needs a new septic in der anyway.

Paul - the Saville Centre has ice almost all year. Right now is mid way through the summer curling so all 10 sheets of ice were booked pretty solid until middle of next week. I can wait a bit till Sept when my season starts. I'm going to the Brier this year cause it's here on my home turf.

Mike - Your Mom is older than 7??? Yer kidding me!! If'n I member correctly they say that dogs age 7 years to 1 human year? So that means you've had them for 49 years!!! Well maybe they thought all the ice cream treats were BD gifts. My Mom is older than 7 too BTW and she never lets anyone forget how they should be catering to her. Kind of sounds like the teacher on Charlie Brown when I lissen to her at times...

Scot - check out that Alcoa site. They might have stuff you're allowed to touch that Mike isn't!

John - take some earbuds to work and plug them into your computer. Then fire up a movie when no one is around. Be sure to put your chair where you can see anyone come in....Then you too can be up to speed with Jamesbo.

Scot - you're younger than me so I guess I can't call you a classic even though you are more than 25. So you're off the hook. On de other hand, some of the things you come up with are 'classic' statements and observations

Cover, etc.

Mike, do yourself a favor and see Blazing Saddles. They don't make 'em like that anymore -- maybe a good thing?

Allan, these guys here think of everything; they have anything that's categorized as "streaming media" blocked.... What a nerve.

And BTW, I looked up that car cover. That was the 3rd one I've bought from Big Sky... I figure I'll keep buying from them until they screw something up. Been very happy with their service and prices for a long time (2000, when I bought my truck cover).

I got the Evolution Technalon cover. The Starfire takes size G4 and C27 pattern; but you can get to it on the Big Sky site simply by drilling
down by year, make, & model. It fits the coupe or convertible.

Even though my car is stored indoors, I can use the cover outdoors should the need arise; and the thickness offers protection should I drop something on it or bump into it with something.

Needless to say, I'm a happy camper. I'm bad with colors, but I think it's tan. I have a gray one on the Vette and a gray one on my truck, and it looks different from those.

But again, it has no mirror pockets; if you really want a pocket or two, I think you'd have to have them sewn on by somebody; but to me, it's not worth it with the tiny mirror on the SF. The truck and Vette covers have nice pockets, but they have much bigger mirrors, and on both sides.

Have a great weekend, folks.

Hey Mike, you don't happen to work for Southwest do you? My FIL is an appearance supervisor here in Houston...I've tried to get on with them as a A&P mechanic but I can't afford the 2 year apprenticeship period.

Hey everyone.

John, Steve, I work for Delta. Been in maintenance 15 years and worked on the ramp the first three years I was there. I turn 19 with the company next March. Steve I don't know much about Southwest's maintenance program. I interviewed with Southwest when I was in school, and they told me they didn't have any junior maintenance people, they only hired experienced mechanics. Times change I guess. We seem to be hiring mechanics all the time, of course you'd have to move to Atlanta.

Allan I've only had my dogs three years. I got them when they were 4, they were rescue dogs. It seems like they've been with me forever. I'm not so sure I'm in agreement with the 7-1 thing. I hope I have that much energy when I'm 49. That would mean that my other German Shepherd died when he was 112. That would explain why he couldn't walk.

There's lots of movies I should see. I'm not really a movie person. I couldn't tell you the last movie I saw in the theatre. I'm not adversed to movies, just don't seem to get to them. One movie I like, but always cringe at the end, is Duel. I cringe because the Valiant gets it.

I should amend my statement about working on Dan's airfoils. I work in line maintenance and aside from the occasional fan lube or fan change, we don't take the engines apart to that extent.

Okay Jeff, saw your tag line and thought I'd pass it along. Next spring will probably see my quest for a convertible start up again. Maybe I can just take a sawzall to the smashed F85.

That reminds me. How much would the 64 and the 65 Cutlass stuff interchange?

Guess it's time to get ready for work. Seinfeld is on soon. The treasurer of the Amphi club might call me to discuss financial stuff. If she does I will miss Seinfeld, but I've seen every one of them multiple times, so it's not like I'll miss anything. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

John - how much did you pay for the Big Sky covers? I had to select 1970 442 because the 72 option was only for sedan/wagon. So I decided to phone them. I talked to a guy named Greg. He suggested going with the Dustop cover because I don't store the car outside and has better padding. It only comes in taupe color. He's willing to include a set of mirror pockets I can have sewn onto the cover. Heck of a nice guy too. The 'free shipping' they offer the USA is because the shipping cost is built into the price of the product. So he's only going to charge 15.00 more to ship to Canada. + they have a 10% off sale going right now. Total cost would be around 248.00 for a 4 layer cover. Better than the 448.00 cover I was originally looking at.

Steve - Just talked to the Mrs. about it and we're ok with ordering it. More than I was thinking a cover cost, but oh well. I'll be calling Greg back on Mon or Tues to order it. Also got to order some stuff from ILT.

John - thank you ever so much for the great info on the cover.

Mike - Your dogs are even older than you think. I used the Dog Age Calculator. Have a look. http://www.pedigree.com/All-Things-D...r/Default.aspx It doesn't go high enough to see what 112 is for German Shepherds. Apparently some dogs (depending on breed) age faster or slower than Shepherds.

Cool Al! Not that I want you to be the guinea pig or anything, but I do

And while the Pedigree age calculator is ok, please feed your pet Blue Buffalo or Natural Choice. They don't have all the filler in them that the others do. We feed our Mastiff Blue Buffalo Freedom.

Steve - Guinea Pig? LOL. I don't mind a bit. If it's a good cover I'll LYK. I expect good quality for the $$ I pay. BTW, that cover I'm ordering is ONLY for indoor storage, not outside. Just so you know ok? Cheese and Rice (durn - ya got me saying dat now) my CAT sometimes eats better than I do. I think an owner shouldn't be afraid to sample what their pet eats.

I did that at Walmart one time buying food for my girl-fiends (yah I spelled that right) dog at the time . Stood in the line up with a big bag of Kibbles n bits. Decided to try them out. Lady behind me thought I was nuts till I growled and barked at her She backed right up, especially when I started sniffin around the lady in front of me's butt. I don't think I'm allowed back there to this day....

Mike - IDK who does the dog polls and if the dogs even gave the right answer. If you ask a lady dog her age, she always lies about it anyway

LMAO! For some reason I could really see you doing that! Crazy!

Cheese and Rice! If you think for a cotton pickin' second that my cars sit outside for any longer than is absolutely necessary to finish the car show or track night you are crazy! I just want the cover to keep the dust and bugs off while it's sitting in the garage.

Well, concerning the 60 Minutes visit, we were informed that it was more of a spotlight on business models and success. The president of Alcoa, Klauss (can't remember his last name) who resides in Germany (we have business units there also) came here for an interview with them, this is the third time this year that he (Klauss) has been to Alcoa Howmet Whitehall Castings, the last time was June, when he came with the entire Alcoa Board of Directors, he really likes our plant. This building, Plant 10 went into production in 1999, and was designed to do $60 million a year in business, last year we hit $400 million, and are looking forward to $500 million in the near future. We do Titanium alloy castings for the aerospace industry and a bit for the military also. Things are looking good through 2015, though I am sure a bump here or there will occur. We are planning on an expansion, awaiting the Boards approval. We have 6 plants within a one mile area of Whitehall, Mi., I have worked at four of them. Well I'd better get to bed..up at 6am Sat. to head to Flint.

Dan - Glad everything is on the + side. Wow! That's a huge amount of volume you guys pump out. No wonder they wanted to do a success story on your plant.

Have a great trip to Flint. The name you were looking for is Kleinfeld. Klaus is chairman and chief executive officer of Alcoa. The internet is such a great tool for research.

We're here, Jim... underneath the flat rock...

Howdy, friends. Cow is really having her way today; forecasters weren't wrong.

Mike, we very seldom make it to the theater, either. Can't tell you what our last "show" movie was. Our next foray, however, will definitely be on the premier of the new James Bond movie, Skyfall, which will be on 11/9. We like to catch all the Bond's at the show 'cause we love 'em, and I remember the date b/c it's our anniversary... so we have a pre-fab date.

But I subscribe to Netflix, and boy, I gotta be careful; the temptation is to watch one thing after another when you get started. It's mindless fun, and pretty much endless. I have to confess I'm a big fan of both old and new horror; they scared the intestines out of me as a kid, and I kept going back for more! And camp is good; love the alien and creature movies from the 50s and 60s. Two favorites: "Invasion of the Saucer Men" and "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers."

And as I said, earlier, I need to continue to get my fix of Seinfeld; you gotta' have the DVDs. They still ain't dirt cheap (maybe on eBay you could get a deal on some used), but they're fab if you like the 'behind the scenes' and 'inside story' trivia kind of stuff; they have tons of interviews, bloopers, deleted scenes, and the "Notes About Nothing" feature you can turn of and off. That feature gives you subtitles on trivial matters (it would have to be if it's Seinfeld, the show about nothing) related to the current scene or subject.

It's addictive..... A 5-episode DVD goes by in a heartbeat; maybe that's why my flower beds look like they do. And to watch all that without even having to THINK about a miserable commercial is worth its weight in gold. That's the best part.

I love the parents. Morty (Jerry's Dad, God rest his soul, Barney Martin) is my favorite. He was a New York cop for 20 years before being "discovered" by Mel Brooks (speak of the devil) in the 60s, after getting his start in show business writing for The Steve Allen show in the 50s.

Anyway, I have all 9 seasons and it's the best entertainment value ever 'cause I never get tired of watching them.... It's like a good album you keep your whole life (for those of us old enough to have had an album collection ).

And BTW, those pups are gorgeous... I've loved German Shepherds since I was a pup myself, although I've never had one. Our last dog - Loretta -died around 2000; she was a springer spaniel - black lab mix; devoted as the day is long (pound mutt) and we've just never gotten another for some reason. We have 3 indoor cats now, so that's pretty much a full time job.

Allan, glad the cover info helped.... the one I got was $235.62 last October, shipped to Ponchatoula. That Dustop is great, but as I said, I wanted the option of using it outside should the need arise; the Technalon has UV protection along with some water resistance. Dustop is prolly easier on the paint, so I'm just real careful taking mine off, etc. But Big Sky has always treated me right, and they arrive at your door pretty quickly. No fuss, no muss.

Well, it's still pouring; and tomorrow (and even into next week) is supposed to be more o'same.

Y'all have a good Saturday. We're off to Middendorf's tonight for some thin-fried catfish and monster soft-shell crabs.... Yum yum.... Start the diet tomorrow....

Oh, and great pic's and cars, Udo... thanks for sharing; Glad to see we're still exporting something ;-) ....
and Clint, I must've missed the original post on that beaut. Is that yours?

Howdy everyone.

Udo nice pictures. I'm going to have me a Christine one day. What was the deal with that 59 Cadillac?

Beautiful day here, and coolish. Don't know when the rain comes next, but it's nice not having it. Gonna go out and mow here in a little bit.

A guy at work says, there's a 442 between Riverdale and Fayetteville that has "official pace car" in gold letters on the door. Thought I'd ride over and have a look. I asked him a couple of reasonable questions: Does it have gold stripes on the fenders? He didn't know. Does it have a big H/O on the back? He didn't know. Did it say official pace car in gold letters on the door? Dude I just said that it did. Well there you go.

I've been fighting a cold the last couple days. I haven't gotten to the I feel miserable stage yet, I hope that bypasses me.

Clint that's a nice looking car! Family heirloom or something? Your friend must really enjoy it. Let's see, the oldest car I've had was a 57. Unless you count the giant war wagon, it's a 45.

Okay! A spot of lunch then it's out to mow. I'll check in later with you guys.

Well, finally I get a chance to do some westing in my westinghouse.... wame isn't it???

Spent the better part of the morning and afternoon washing and detailing the Saturn and Sonata. Then I decided to power wash the driveway/sidewalk. Musta been bitten by some bug cause shortly after all that, I decided to start restoring the air dam on the front of my 72. Got most of the gunk and crud off using oven cleaner and degreaser (zep). Took 2 attacks to get most of the stuff off. Now I have a spanking clean plastic part and I'm taking the masticated rubber off so I can put in new staples and sem paint the plastic - it's gotten discolored over time. Gotta have sumting that looks as good as the new A arm flaps.

Clint - Does that hup have wooden wheels??? And as far as words failing you?? I can't imagine why. If you ever have the chance to meet me I think you'd pretty much just say "uh huh, Sounds like something Al would do..."

Mike - I forgot to have brekkie and lunch. It's purty warm up here though and I don't feel like eating. A little light headed from all the outside stuff, so I'm just typing and sipping an ice cold bottle of V8 V fusion..Pommegranate Blueberry

Jamesbo - Don't worry bud, you gotta know that sooner or later the rest of us will get up and start wit de posting. I imagine Sandy's out at a car show..

John - I did think about the UV cover, but 2 things. I don't need it. And it was 448.00 plus shipping. That's more than I can afford to spend on a cover. I really appreciate your recommendation to Big Sky. I bet Greg even remembers you - he writes everything down in an order book on his desk. BTW, what does catfish taste like? They are the ugliest fish I've ever seen but people seem to like eatin them.

Steve - ah ha ha ha ha. No light or air conditioning??? Welcome to my world. We're only at 79° right now but should go up somewhat by the end of the day. Not the heat that's a bother it's the humidity. Closed all the curtains and got the furnace fan going to keep the house cool right now.

Good morning everybody, looks like another beautiful day here but once again I will be sleeping between night shifts very soon.

Alot has happened since I was last on. I pulled out the rear window of the olds and fixed the rust spots that were the cause of the water leaking into the boot (trunk). While fixing that I went to the shop to get some supplies and ended up having a car accident in our other car, 95 honda accord. An old lady pulled out of her driveway not seeing me so I only had one place to go and that was into the side of her writing off the car so I had to take time off work and get the olds finished so we can drive her until the insurance is all sorted out, then I have to get another car and sort that out so we have 2 cars again. We have decided on 2 things with the next car, either brand new or another classic and since I don't really want a new car you know what I will be getting.

Weather has been pretty cold around here too which is nice cause the grass doesn't grow much but I had to mow that too.

Hope everyone is going good, I will catch up on the last few pages when I get a bit more time.

I saw on facebook you got your stint out Sandy, hope all went well and you don't have to go back to Dr moneybags again.

Well time for bed, I will try and get on more frequently, have a wonderful day ya'll,

Adrian

Good Saturday Evening All

Been a rather emotional day today. This would've been my Dad's 64th Birthday today, man I miss that guy Well we spent the morning out at his resting place cleaning up his headstone and replacing his old silk flowers that were sun bleached. I brought a car wash bucket and sponge for the granite and washed it up pretty good.

Thanks Allan for the complement I do try to listen a lot more than I speak. So when I do speak it's usually well thought out

Clint that is a beaut your working on I didn't realize they had suicide front doors

Adrian if boot = trunk then what does trunk mean in the land of AUZ?

Mike I hope your able to shake your cold. Try some good ole chicken and rice, that ought to do the trick Sounds like a 72 your coworker was describing

Udo thanks for sharing the cool pics brother

Well I hope everyone has a great Saturday night

Hey good evening everyone.

Spitting rain a little here and there, hope it doesn't develop into anything. Glad I got the mowing done this afternoon.

Scot you're a good man. I don't live close to any of my relatives' graves, but I do what I can when I'm around. The best I can do for a cold remedy is chicken sandwich and hashbrowns. Yes at Awful house. Who just said they thought I worked there? How funny. I probably own the one by now.

Adrian I'm glad you weren't hurt cracking up the car. Here is your opportunity to get another Oldsmobile. Twin 98s. If the hood is the bonnet, why is the roof the hood? When I was a little one my Mom had a 65 VW, and my Dad called the area behind the back seat(under the window) the boot.

John I don't have any Seinfeld DVDs. It's on a couple channels here and so often, I can just turn it on. The show about nothing. Every situation in life has a Seinfeld episode that corresponds.

Sandy I hope you got the 50/50 and a cool trophy. There's another Teepo wannabe on ebay these days. Dark green stripes.

Okay I think I'll hit the sack early. Got a headache starting and I'm going to try to head if off. Have a good night everyone and a good Sunday.

Alan, you've never had catfish? Fried catfish is the best fish out there...you need to try it. I don't see how you've gone all those years without ever having had it. Do I need to send you some? Maybe a live fish that you can clean yourself so it's fresh? Man, how would customs feel about that? lol!

Scot, sorry for your loss...I almost lost my dad last year, and I'm thankful for the time he has left. That's why our car projects have gotten expedited this past year or so.

So, it's football season...and my Texans are looking good so far. Preseason game 2 at home tonight. I can't wait for the regular season to start...I can't believe I'm missing car shows for this game, well, the rain helps

Good Evening Everyone.

Two for two so far for my attendance!

Today was a nice "normal" summer day today. Sunny, a nice breeze and temperature in the low 20's (C of course).

My Dad and I spent the day at a car show, and had both Oldsmobiles out together for the first time. I even let my Dad drive the Cutlass!

Steve, we had a scare with my Dad this summer, so I know what you mean. I'm a hockey fan, so luckily it doesn't conflict with car shows much

Adrian, very glad to hear you are ok. Good luck finishing the Olds and finding a "new" car.

Clint, that is a nice car in those pictures.

No posts by Sandy today?

Evening all!

An uneventful afternoon. It did get up to around 84° around 3 o'clock. Sun sets now at around 9pm so it's cooling off nicely. Opened the windows to let the breeze come in.

The CFL had one game on today. Mike? If you had your chicken soup you coulda watched this game. It was as good as Nyquill. Turned it off at the 3rd quarter.

Graeme wanted to have toasted bacon & tomato sandwiches for supper. That's ok with me; I wasn't hungry. But I womped up some bacon for him and went out and picked some maters. The cherry maters are doing great! The big ones will prolly be ready in 2 days. They really are turning fast in the heat. Took some pictures for ya. Nice bowl of cherry's, some big maters, and some zuchinni

Sandy - the liatrus is for you. Should have taken that pic 2 days ago when the top was purple. Sorry bout dat!

Steve - by the time that catfish got here, I think it would be more rotten than dem peaches. Maybe on a trip to the US I might just try that. I'm used to more traditional fare like perch and walleye. Pike is ok if you know how to fillet them so there's no bones (which I do). Tried pickling fish one year - it turned out ok but it all tasted like salmon or tuna.

Sleep tight Olds friends.

Evening All!

I had an absolute great day today!! I haven't had a day this good in years, it seems like. It was beautiful here. Big fluffy white clouds and sun, temps around 75 or so.

Teepo and I had a great long cruise on the way to the Pops Show in Wadsworth. That's past the Akron/Barberton area. Never been there before in my life, lol. And you know me, I take the back roads instead of the interstates whenever I can. I don't care if it takes longer.

We traveled 66 miles round trip. 2 lane hilly, curvy, dippy roads, lol. Went through part of the Cleveland Metroparks and the Cuyahoga Valley, it was very pretty countryside. Didn't see any deer, thank God!! It was mostly 45 mph speed limits, slowed down to 35 in places, and some of those 'dips', when you topped them, you couldn't see the road for a minute, just the hood of the car, lol. They had signs that said "limited sight distance", and they weren't lying.

The show was nice, I had a lot of fun. They had the Mayberry cop car there, and a guy dressed as Barney Fife, lol. He was great! We took some pics together, and he was just having fun with everyone. We had a lot of laughs. A lot of the guys I know were there. Probably close to 100 cars there. Teepo got a nice trophy - I didn't have one like this yet, lol. It was a Top 20 trophy. No luck on the 50/50.

Teepo ran well and pulled all those big hills without a problem. Goin down the other side I kinda had to ride the brakes some. She picked up speed pretty fast! It was just a great cruise, there and back. So relaxing, and I just loved it. I felt great too!! Took us about an hour each way.

Tomorrow we're venturing into unchartered territory for us once again, lol. Goin to Chesterland. If I have time on the way home, I'm gonna swing by Blue's house and see what's up!! I'll be going right by his street.

Nicole came again Friday evening after work. She brought a ton of laundry with her, and she spent the night. Larry put back brake pads on the Intrigue today at the shop, the drivers side one was squealing as she drove. I got front pads for it too, and he's gonna put them on next weekend. Poor car has 104,000 miles on it now. She drives the heck out of it. She spent most of the evening here. We went out back to the grapevines and ate a lot of grapes, lol. The Concords are soooo delicious! We have another kind too, but I don't remember what they're called. They're a light red and very sweet. Our Bartlett pears are getting bigger, but they have some rough places on em. They're not ready to eat yet.

I'm downloading pics to Photobucket now, and just for Mike, will post the ones of me and Barney Fife, lol.

Adrian.... Sorry to hear about the accident! Was anyone hurt?? I hope not. Thanks for the good thoughts.

Scot... sorry you had a sad day. I know the feeling. I haven't been to the cemetery since we planted flowers Memorial Day weekend. I have to get out there. I just haven't been able to with not feeling good and such. Jean said the grass has really taken over, and we had it looking so nice. Guess we'll be doing some digging and such. There are 5 graves we plant on and take care of. It's a job, and it's way out in Newton Falls.

My friend Nick, with that 48 Olds I told you he was selling, was at Bellacino's Thursday night with his 'new' Corvette! He hasn't sold the Olds yet, but he has it on E-Bay. The Vette is nice, if that's what you like. It's all original and only has 9,000 miles on it. It's in excellent shape. I think it's an 86? I don't remember. He's going to take it to Don Sitts and have it detailed - engine too. It will look sharp.

Looks like they're calling for rain chances next weekend. The Olds show is next Sunday. I didn't pre-register, I'm still deciding if I want to go, or go to the show in Ravenna...

Well I reckon I'll get off of here and talk to ya sometime tomorrow. Gotta be parked at this show tomorrow by 10 am so I gotta get to bed. Later....

Good Sunday Morning All

Thanks for the condolences Steve, it's been three years since he passed, but it don't get any easier since we were best friends too.

Congrats Sandy on the top 20

Mike on Saturday and only on Saturday Cracker Barrel has chicken and rice as their special. It is usually very very good. But they only have it on their menu that one day a week. You may want to check out their breakfast menu as well. They too serve breakfast anytime and it is good eating

Jamesbo that saying must have been seared into my brain at an early age
