Jim - Note I ordered my building (had it designed) prior to pouring concrete pad. Albeit, my anchor bolts were set into the concrete pad prior to building erection. You're going to need to spend a little more in labor to get your anchor bolts installed - whether you go metal or wood since you'll have to drill precise holes into the current cured concrete pad & use anchor bolts of the correct size.
Norm, lots of vitamin D and zinc. Eat cashews. Go stand outside in the sun with your shirt off, if it's warm enough. Or, eat the cashews in the sun. Feel better. Being sick sucks.
I have an 8:30am app't tomorrow w/ my 1° phys. I suspect he'll likely prescribe an antibiotic. Sinusitis is tough to deal with. Viral? Antibiotics provide no benefit. Bacterial? Yes. The thing is unless you're "severe" with other comorbidities (I have none), no one takes swabs to have them analyzed for either virus or bacteria (that would be something done if you're in an ER setting or bed ridden) - takes lots of time, effort, etc. Add to it, many colds develop from an "initial" viral infection followed by a bacterial infection - it's a tough game to get right. A virus attacks then sets up a mucus pathway for bacteria to invade. You're right - out of the frying pan & into the fire.
Norm - I'm glad you're going to the Doc. As you know, I've suffered with severe allergies my whole life. Probably at least a 1/2-dozen times thru the years I suffered with either a bad cold and/or allergies that eventually developed into a bacterial sinus infection, that's precisely why I was hoping you'd go in. The last thing you want is a bacterial infection in your sinuses traveling to your lungs and getting pneumonia. Hope the Doc gives you something that knocks it out quick if it is bacterial.
Chris - I've had both Pneumonia vaccines & I should be up-to-date. My mild cough has now developed into a more deep-seated gravelly type cough - the type you'd expect as you begin to clear an infection & begin to cough up "loogies" instead of the drippy annoying type cough. This is a good thing, BTW. A key to coughing is first - being "able" to cough phlegm/sputum. Those with a debilitating progression have a very difficult time producing "loogies" from phlegm/sputum. That becomes an environment ripe for Pneumonia.
BTW, I had what they referred to as walking Pneumonia when I was a child - five years old, maybe? A time when medical doctors made "house calls". The M.D. made a diagnosis based upon symptoms and told me to roll over - Penicillin right in the keester - it hurt, followed by one week of bed rest.
Jim - I created a post but it has to be approved via a moderator evidently because I used a forbidden word.
My point was you're going to spend a little more candy to secure your building w/ anchor bolts because you didn't install them (anchor bolts) during the concrete pour. Whether you go metal or wood, you'll need anchor bolts - less labor intensive when you can set the anchor bolts during the concrete pour. You'll need to establish the precise locations for each, drill then set the anchor bolts.

I created a Post addressing your question. Then...the IB CO DB took an enormous $hit. Not surprising when you treat a live website as an unsupervised development playground.
I've had the Boogie Woogie Flu on several occasions. I learned to play the Boogie Woogie Blues. It's a very fundamental bass clef (left hand) cadence common to many songs which lends itself to incorporating many treble clef (right hand) injections/variations.
I had walking pneumonia when I was around 18, every time I took a breath, I coughed. Annoying as hell. Prescription took care of it. Very nice set up Norm, I'll come down just to lay on the grass.
Hot here, 89? right now at 2:30pm, weatherman says we're headed toward another record high of 92?.
Spent the morning changing oil/filter and lubing all front end components on the 4-4-2. It always seems to take longer than I anticipated, with the biggest hassle being jacking the entire front end up to get to everything. Minor casualty, bumped the top of my head on the header flange that connects the header collector to the tailpipe and split the skin a little. Cleaned it real good and put some antibiotic ointment on it. Dawn thought it might need a stitch or two, but I'm not going thru that crap. Just glad to be done.
Chris - Invest in a 3-ton floor jack. Stop working so hard.
Stitches? Slap on a couple strips of duct tape.
I don't know about the duct tape? I'm going to take another close look at it in a little while. Might have Dawn squirt in a few drops of Super Glue and hold it together. It'll burn like hell for a minute, but should close it up. I'm sure that's what they'd do at the Urgent Care if they did anything.
This is the amount of oil (rear main) and tranny fluid leakage I had over the 4-months the car sat completely idle. Not very much really, and that will even slow up considerably after the seals swell a little after I start driving it again. Certainly not enough for me to mess with at this point.
Gabe has a 9pm game and I have to head out in a minute. Hope everyone has a nice evening.
Gabe had a very good game tonight in a 5-3 loss. He had a hand in all his team's scoring with a goal and 2 assists. He's more than holding his own even though he's on the lower end of his 2-yr age bracket now.
Chris, that's normal. Better than normal. My 67 has a problem and will dump most of the pan. The 68 and 72 don't leak, my Monte Carlo and van do. One checks the oil and one moves on. It's also worth noting the turbohydramatic transmissions will leak more when not driven as the oil descends out of the torque converter and makes the pan level higher, and it typically comes out the speedo seal.
that super glue hurts awfully then stops. Had that done on my thumb in 2019.
I guess I have long arms, I can do oil and lube from the deck without jacks.
Yep my T350 makes a mess every winter. I went thru and replaced everything that I thought may have been the leak ( Pan gasket, kickdown cable, dipstick tube, shift lever, speedo cable) and all was good one year- no mess on floor. But next year it was back.. When someone gets new carpet I ask if I can have their old. I take it and put on garage floor under car- seems like it will keep less moisture from coming up off old concrete and sorta absorbs small leaks. I'm looking forward to getting out the fun stuff!!
Friday is upon us. In typical Delta fashion, the management has put the screws to some of us. Instead of having overtime tomorrow for everyone, they have overtime for the people who are off Fridays today. When we asked the lead what about the 8 hour people, he said, they just get screwed. Brilliant.
Gonna be nice all weekend, I need to get some mowing done, work on cars, work over at my shop, and, and , and... We'll see how much I get done.
Tiger's ears are doing great, I'm so glad. He doesn't mind when I put the drops in, and he doesn't shake his head or scratch or cry. What a relief. I often wonder if I had children if I'd be so worried about them all the time.
Work has been hit or miss this morning, so in my down time I've been looking up people from my past. I came across the obituary for a teacher I liked in high school. Her husband got me my first job, washing cars at a Chevy dealer. He was the zone rep for Chevrolet in the Chicago area. I looked him up, he's dead, too. I haven't seen these people in 40 years, tremendous people. I looked up their oldest son, I thought I might email him and just tell him I was fond of his parents. Maybe not, that's kind of weird. I wish I would have looked them up 10 years ago, they lived in the Atlanta area.
Greg I had carpet in my garage for years. It kept me from having to mop the floor all the time. I've had several cars that leaked from the main seal.
Chris that's some good work. Hope you took it for a nice long ride when you were done. That's the reward.
Okay things are spinning back up. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

John - Alot of good confirming info here. Yes, I thought my amount of leakage was better than normal, for both the oil and tranny fluid. Yes, my tranny fluid leak is out of the Speedo cable connection. With your height I'm sure your arms are much longer than mine, but I don't know if that would help you in my case. The complicating factor in my case is getting to the oil filter with the full Headers. It's almost like the filter sits in a little cage of it's own surrounded by the individual cylinder tubes. I can get a cap style filter on it and get it loosened. The real trick is getting it out of the Header pipes without pouring it all over myself.
I had Dawn use the Super Glue on my head cut before I went to the hockey game last night.. Yep, it burned like a *****, but looked better and should heal faster now with less chance of infection. I almost always wear a baseball cap so no one at the hockey game even knew it happened.

. . .

Mike - I'm really glad to hear Tiger is both good at letting you treat his ears, and that he is responding well to the medicine! 👍
I did take the car for drive yesterday, but not too long, I mainly wanted to get it good and warm to check the tranny fluid. It was low enough where I finally felt like I needed to add about 1/2-qt. It was nice being behind the wheel again though!!
Thunderstorms overnight between about 2 and 5am, not too bad. Had a morning low of 37 degrees after a Record High of 93 degrees yesterday. Supposed to only get up to about 54 degrees this afternoon, and that's with sunshine.
Dawn just left with Monty for a wellness check at the Vet. He has to get a Heartworm test so he can continue getting his prescription Heartworm medication. I'm just glad the storms are over and the roads are dry for them.
Lots of Michigan related College sports on TV today. Western Michigan and the Univ. of Michigan have 1st round games in the National Championship Hockey Tournament this afternoon, and Michigan State and Univ. of Michigan both have March Madness Sweet Sixteen match-ups tonight. I will be spending alot of time watching the boob tube today.
Hope everyone has a great day and weekend! 😃

Chris I think that's the dumbest thing. You give your dog heartworm medicine but they have to check to see if he has it in order to renew the prescription. I think it's just pocket lining for them. Once I told them not to do it and they said they have to do it to see if he had it. I argued with them and said if he has it then the medicine isn't working. And he'd get it for sure if they wouldn't give him the medicine. They just looked at me.
I can tell you one thing. Tiger is my last dog, at least while I live around here. I can't depend on good veterinary service and I'm quickly getting priced out. I always say I have the money if Tiger needs anything, but they are preying on my good nature and love for my dog. The dr. I see is good, but she's still an employee and has to do what the clown/owner says.

Mike - I don't disagree with you at all. There is definitely corporate greed at play that prays on peoples' love for their pets and it is outlandishly expensive. Our dogs have been taking the monthly chewable kind, one for Heartworm and one for fleas/ticks. Today Dawn found out they now have a yearly injection, one injection for the Heartworms, and another for the fleas/ticks. Dawn did the math and the yearly injections are substantially cheaper than a year's worth of the monthly chewables, so she went that route with Monty. We will go that way with Maggie too when she's due again. This is something you might want to look into the next time Tiger is due for his.
