Mike - That truck looked like a leftover from the 60s. I think they needed a new truck.

Walked outdoors to see large fire truck and several utility companies in the road along with a semi tractor and numerous overhead wires hanging on top of cab. Seems I found the reason for the service outage.

Norm - That is for sure a bizarre one! Did you already receive any documentation from Amazon on reimbursement before reordering? They may have already reordered on your behalf because of the known loss?

Chris, nice shot of Gabe. Norm, jeesh, all of the **** flowed your way! Yesterday G.E. bigwigs came through, tomorrow our C.E.O. and the C.E.O. of Airbus will be making the rounds.

Thanks Dan, I'm so thankful the kid who was shooting the pics has been so kind to send them to me!

I always hated those frickin "dog and pony shows"! On those days management were expected to be in suit and tie, at your desk, and at their beck and call, and you were expected to have all your personnel at their desks. Half the time they never even got to our area because they got behind schedule. What a bunch of B.S.!

Norm - You've had some crazy stuff happening to you lately but your stuff burning up in the delivery truck has got to be a new for you - that's crazy.

Cannot open the glove box on the F250 diesel tractor. I will not be working outdoors to resolve this issue while it’s raining yellow snow.

Norm, speaking of F250 glove boxes, before I left on trip I got my truck stuck in wet snotty snow out by barn. I decided to just leave it and deal with when I got back, which was great cuz when we got back no snow and could just back out. Got a new proof of insurance and found a mouse had made a nest in the glove box! Pissed on the registration and chewed up some papers and napkins. Doesn't seem to be any other damage. I put a couple moth ***** in there. Also found 4 dead ones in traps in barn. Sons of bitches...

Good morning everyone.

Good start to the morning. I hit break with 21 wheels, and my standing goal for break is 10. Hope things keep up like this.

Cold but sunny, supposed to be in the 70s and 80s this weekend. It needs to hurry. We've had enough rain that the yellow pollen has been subdued. But with no rain for the foreseeable future I expect it will rebound with a vengeance.

No plans for the afternoon. I guess I'll figure something out when I get home. Or not.

Okay have a good day everyone.

Absolutely worst allergy I’ve had in 25 years. Just horrendous. What they’re saying is because of the type climate we’ve had this year in our area, heavy snowfall and very cold temps followed by a very early warm up, plants (in particular trees), are releasing pollen simultaneously rather than in waves (unlike normal years). So they’re all releasing pollen at the same time.

Flonase did absolutely nothing for me - maybe worsened my symptoms. At Walmart at 7am picked up a jug of Zyrtec (Cetirizine) antihistamine. I hate taking any antihistamines but this is unbearable.

Still no Brightspeed internet. Painful typing on my phone with watery eyes.

Norm - Every Spring and Fall (Ragweed) I can count on suffering with allergies. Cetirizine is my drug of choice. I hope you get some relief soon.

I hope they repair your cable soon. 🤞

I installed those a couple of times in the Spring before the season started and didn't feel like they did Jack $hit! I certainly didn't feel like there was any noticeable improvement that compared to the exorbitant cost. I don't use them anymore.

I normally don’t use HEPA filters but I’m willing to pay for them this time since there might exist a modest form of protection.

Next up - a scalding sit in the Whirlpool for about an hour.

Ha, ha. Guess what, I never saw them, they were behind schedule! Yeah, at our place they clean up, and hide **** so that won't see it. Norm, Zyrtec is in my cupboard. I bought a Honeywell air purifier a couple of months ago to help out. I got the largest one they had,

Dan - Good idea/suggestion on the air purifier.

I took one tablet (10 mg) of Zyrtec yesterday morning (8 am). It began working (as described) w/in one hour. By 4 pm I was extremely exhausted, so much so I thought I'd pass out. Legs were beginning to buckle it was so bad. I felt like a zombie vegetable & immediately crawled into bed. For individuals over 65 yrs old (I'm 73) it says to start w/ 5 mg, instead of 10 mg. Everyone responds differently but let me say this - it knocked the living dog $hit out of me. My sinuses were so unbelievably bad I thought 10 mg would be the way to do. I just cut a 10 mg tablet into two pieces & I'll take 5 mg in another couple of hours.

I use the Members Mark (Sam's) brand of Cetirizine, 10mg tablets, and they don't seem to make me drowsy at all. Funny how the same drug/dose can effect people differently. I have found that during peak pollen season it works much better for me taking 1 10mg tablet daily, rather than as needed after symptoms have already overwhelmed me.

Good morning guys,

It's still O'Dark Thirty here (0650) and the only reason I'm up is because Dawn is up. Tuesday and Thursday this week she's going over to her daughter's house to help with childcare because the granddaughters are out of school for Spring Break. For years after I retired (2018) my internal clock kept getting me up around 0430, but I eventually adjusted and now I'm much more rested sleeping in to around 0800.

Got a flyer in the mail yesterday from the local Harley Dealer advertising they are looking for nice used motorcycles to purchase for their used bike inventory. I started the process yesterday to get a quote by sending data/pics on my bikes to them to see what they're willing to give me for them. I know they'll low-ball me with their offer, but I'm willing to entertain it if it isn't too outrageously low just to get out from under them at this point. If the offers are so low I just can't do it, I'll be writing up some adds soon. They are doing nothing for me anymore other than just sitting there depreciating.

Keegan has a hockey game tonight. It's actually an in-house tournament for multiple teams in his Hockey Club that our in his age bracket. Both boys will start their Spring 4-on-4 Season next weekend.

Supposed to be sunny and mid-70's today, and then 80's for the weekend. Need to get out to the 4-4-2 and change the oil/filter, check the rest of the fluids, check tire pressures, and do some general sprucing up before the 1st car event sneaks up on me. I'm getting excited just to get back behind the wheel!

Hope everyone has a great day! 😃

Jim - No clue why you can't upload pics sometimes. Assuming you're talking about your phone? Lots of variables - WiFi bandwidth speed, you have current/latest s/w updates on your phone? IB brands has been implementing & configuring various Cloudflare s/w products on this site. Don't know if certain s/w might be interfering? There is a significant difference between a mobile device (Phone) and a desktop PC device in uploading images. I always prefer desktop PC for uploads - far more stable.

Chris - Antihistamines can be hit or miss. There are four basic histamine receptors in the body - H1, H2, H3 & H4. Most antihistamines target H1 receptors & each has a particular moiety when associating with the H1 receptor. Think I'll grab some Allegra (fexofenadine).

Evidently, I'm not fighting an infection. Body temp = 98.6°F. COVID-19 test is negative. I don't want to sound like a hypochondriac but this bout is by far the worse I've experienced in at least 25 years. I took a 100 mg tab of Fexofenadine (Allegra). I'll see how it plays out.

Norm, I don't want to put a scare into you, but i had to quit taking Allegra about a decade ago, as it caused my blood pressure to sky rocket. Like Chris said, drugs have different effects on people, so probably no worry for you.

Dan - Curious if you were taking Allegra-D? Allegra-D is known to cause high blood pressure because it has the added decongestant pseudo ephedrine e.g. Sudafed. I noted the delta between standard Allegra & Allegra-D prior to purchase.

I saw something run in the truck cab this morning. Thinking small frog. I put glue traps down.

Hey, are any of you guys following/watching March Madness. I'm really only following 3 teams: Michigan, Michigan State, and St. Louis University (SLU). What about those St. Louis University Bilikens last night, destroying Georgia 102 - 77! Now that's a real **** whoopin!

My oldest daughter Taylor graduated from there in the Spring of 2014. Just so happens the 4-years she was there were the winningest 4 consecutive years in SLU Basketball history, making the NCAA Tournament 2012, 2013, and 2014. That factoid was great for her because she was on the Cheerleading Squad all 4 years, and Co-Captain her Jr. & Sr. years. It was great for me because she got 4 complimentary tickets for every home game for family. I got to see alot of great basketball in a great facility for free! Here's a couple pics of Taylor in her Senior year.

Chris - Nice pictures of Taylor. You were fortunate to get free tickets those years. I was all about getting ready to begin March Madness when this allergy knocked me out. I still feel like a zombie.
