I wouldn't let them talk you out of a blower just on their recommendation.

I believe I may have mentioned this before, but I had a female (a real Bitch) that came in as our new Office Director (unit of about 350 personnel) 2-years before I retired. She immediately wanted to make her mark and took me out of a job I loved and made me her "Strategic Lead", sitting in an office directly adjacent to her's. What this meant was that I had to answer everything for her and got absolutely no credit, while she reaped the rewards. Most miserable 2-years of my entire career!
I may get both some day. The good news is this place will be driveways with lots of side space, so the snow can go "somewhere" and not need to be too aimed. The snowblower would be nice at some point.

I came in and was here when the senior tech side manager and the maint group leader did their walk this AM, so it was just them and they just stuck their head in. They are happy with the cleanliness. Hopefully I can sneak past this summit here in a few months of all the big wigs, then maybe this area will fade back into obscurity and I can hide out here for a few more years. I am going to be sneaky, I have sound curtains around the cage with two gaps. I am going to get pieces for the gaps, but not put them up for a few months, and only when I am actually here.

In Tanzania today! Man I hate flying, especially now. We left Feb 18th- drove to Detroit Metro, DET to NYC LaGuardia , Taxi cab to NYC JFK, flight from JFK to Doha (12hours), then 5 hr flight from Doha to Kilimanjaro!! Saw a whole day on the longest fight- maybe about 6 hrs difference between sunrise and sunset. OH Man! I am a big guy just miserable! Got here about 7 AM. We are 16 hours ahead of our local time. Got picked up by tour guys and brought to a nice hotel in Arusha. Then Linda and I took showers and slept hard for about 6 hours. Well everything is going great.

Sunday morning hockey will be a blood bath. At least three major fights I’d say. Closer to five, maybe? First fight w/in the first three minutes? Should be a hell of a game.

I agree, it should be a hell of a game!

I disagree with your premise of there being alot of fights. Why, because the game is too important to all of them, and I believe they will be able to keep their cool because the risk is not worth the reward. They're not going to want to risk the other team being on the PP, or being completely ejected, which can more easily occur in an Olympic game.

I certainly wouldn't eat that combo! The little piece of meat that was showing looked like it might be Corned Beef, and it looked like pieces of Kraut on top of that slice of bread?

Yeah. They’re Reuben’s w/ chipped corn beef, kraut & Swiss cheese + Russian dressing.

Wilson got ejected once already. I just think CAN isn’t going to hold anything back. Of course, maybe I’m hoping for a full brawl? LOL

Obviously it was the Russian Dressing that was throwing me. I really thought it was melted Cheddar or Ameican.

I think the wildcards might be whether Crosby can play effectively for CA, and Thompson for the USA. Right now everything I'm reading points to Crosby being iffy and Thompson should be fine. Guess we'll see???

Hi everyone.

Was a busy day doing stuff inside and out. Just beautiful, we hit 80 holy smokes. Hopefully it will be the same tomorrow but I think it's gonna rain.

Greg wow that's a long flight. Longer than LA to Melbourne. The seats on an airplane are designed to be the absolutely smallest allowed by law. I guess that's why so many people want to upgrade. Have a tremendous trip and keep checking in!

Got the new convertible registered. I should take it out for a spin, but haven't yet. Today would have been a perfect day for the top down. But it doesn't leak now, and I'm afraid if I put it down all the patches and Flexseal will come apart. Sheesh.

I must have worked harder than I thought because I'm tired as can be. So off to bed a little early. Have a good night everyone.

Good morning everyone.

I think there was rain in the night, but looking outside now things don't seem wet or muddy. It is definitely cloudy and looks like it could just pour. Once I get going I'll try to do some things outside until I can't.

Have a good weekend at the lake Jamesbo. You know what's funny, when I was on the lake with Supermodel, we went past all those big mansions and then we went past this little green house, looked like something you'd see in a million other neighborhoods. Must have been an original that hadn't been bought up and leveled. Hope it stays forever.

So Greg is on safari. Maybe he'll bring back an animal head to display proudly over his fireplace.

Got some house cleaning and maybe a little bit of mowing to do before I leave Monday. I feel so rushed but I have plenty of time. Probably because every other year I'm always rushed. Hm. More laundry this morning then Awful house. You know Awful house would be a huge success in Australia. That place would be right up their alley.

Okay have a great day everyone.

Dan - I couldn’t eat the 2nd sammich - too full. I’ll have for lunch, today.
Jim - Enjoy your weekend @ the lake.
I know if one guy shows up in Milan it won’t be a pretty reception.
Roofing company supposed to install new leaf guards on the 25th. Called me this morning wanting to do it today so I said OK. He’s about 1/2 way done.

Small setback on the leaf guards. Worker took off for hospital then returned. Job is done. A worker for him fell from a roof. Don’t know anything more other than he’s OK. Nothing broken no injuries I guess. Guy said he crushed his sternum and puked everywhere. I guess that was it. Lucky F’er I’d say. Damn, to be young!

Good morning guys,

I just got back from the hockey rink. Gabe's team had to play a "play in" game this morning between the #8 Team (Gabe's team) and the #9 Team, to determine which team would actually get the #8 Seed in their League End of Season single elimination tournament.

I found out after I got to the rink that Gabe's team was going to have a very tough situation to overcome because they were going to be down 3 skaters, 2 to sickness and one to injury!

Despite the adversity his team came out really fired up, Gabe included. He scored on his 2nd shift about 3-minutes into the game to put them up 1-0. Then about midway thru the 2nd he won a face off in their Offensive zone right to his open teammate in front of the net who scored to put them up 2-0. The other team then came back to tie it up 2-2 by the end of the 2nd Period. With about 3-minutes left in the game Gabe stole a puck deep in his own Defensive zone and went the length of the ice to score what turned out to be the game winner! WooHoo What a game and what an effort by the whole team!!!

Now they will play the #1 Seed tomorrow morning sometime, but I'm still waiting on a location/time?

Hope everyone has a great day!
