Good deal Norm! I'll have to check and see if they are going to be in our area anytime soon?
1GB up & 1GB down - guaranteed. $69/mo. w/ no price increases, no contracts (they say). Because I spoke w/ the knock on the door dude, I got free installation (normally $100), this also includes a free router/modem w/ WiFi 7 gateway. It says WiFi 6, but I asked the dude and he said they're using WiFi 7 gateways, now.
I misspelled it above, but the URL is correct Brightspeed.
No, as a matter of fact I don't think that at all. I'd be worried about that redness around the bite site. If it darkens or spreads anymore you better get your **** to a hospital, seriously.
Chris - I've got a handle on it pretty sure. Thanks for the concern. I've been bitten by spiders all my life & I've never suffered any dire consequences. Thought I might have been bitten by a recluse about 15 years ago - MAYBE! On my leg directly above the shin (tibia) bone. Created a small necrotic cavity which took like four months to heal. Ya know, it may have been any spider, but it sure resembled the type you see from the recluse. Luckily there isn't much skin tissue above the tibia so necrosis couldn't have gone too deep. I have no allergies to any spider toxins I'm aware of & I've been bitten by the F'ers all my life. I'm aware of people who immediately go into anaphylactic shock, I'm aware of some people who have lost limbs &/or appendages. I think many of these are from infection (sepsis) - I don't know. There's some who die. I refuse to die (from a F'ing spider).
I saw them installing these cables a little over one year ago. I then looked them up and began researching. Spectrum is such a mother monopoly (having purchased TWC) I haven't seen many who have been able to stand up against them; and, Brightspeed is all fiber optics - sweet.
Just got done watching the Red Wings game. Exciting game, they ended up beating Ottawa in O/T on a goal by Dylan Larkin. #2 Ranked UofM hockey got upset tonight 4-2 in Minnesota, last goal was an empty netter. I watched most of that one too.
Both the Thunder & the Pistons are ea. #1 in their respective conference. Pistons beat Thunder last night. Cunningham scored 29 points for Pistons.
I watched just a couple minutes of last night's game at the very end. I'm going to have to keep an eye on the Pistons and watch a whole game just to see Cunningham play and how good the Pistons are.
Two sunny-side up eggs on wheat toast (one egg on leftover biscuit), with 4 slices of fried SPAM on the side. Should meet my protein needs for the day!
I'm sure you were kidding, but truthfully- 2 eggs contain 12g of protein, and half a can of spam has around 21g. Older men should aim for about 1g of protein for each Kg of body weight, combined with regular weight training to combat sarcopenia- muscle loss associated with aging. Even if you're not lifting weights, 33g of protein puts you about a third of the way there, maybe half, depending on your weight. But that's a good looking plate of food, to be sure!

Hi Dave,
No, I wasn't kidding about the protein intake. I weigh 158lbs, ~72Kg, so by your figures I would need 72g protein/day. I ate that whole plate of food. There are a total of 7 eggs there on the plate. By your figures, 7 eggs x 6g protein/egg equals 42g of protein in the eggs alone, plus another 21g in the SPAM, equals 63g of protein. Plus, there are 4 slices of whole wheat toast at 3.5g/slice, for another 14g of protein putting me at a total of 77g of protein. Plus, there was another 11g of protein in the 12oz of 2% milk I had, putting me at a grand total of 89g of protein for the whole meal. I've been doing this fitness/training thing my whole life. My Dad was a PE teacher and coach, my Mom an RN. I played several sports, including 4-yrs of College Footall, and I never stopped training when my playing days were over. I got this!
I saw the plate of food and the "two eggs over easy" comment, so I assumed you were sharing that! I'm 64 years old, I weigh about 160 lbs and I aim for 100g of protein daily. I converted my garage into a gym and I train 3-4 days a week, plus I like to ski. My Olds is in the barn, but it's more of an exercise in patience.

Dave - Good for you on the training, and having a dedicated space for it. Stay with it!!! My weight training equipment is in my basement (1st 3 pics), and my cardio machine (Bowflex Max) is in a spare bedroom (4th pic). I lift on M-W-F, and do my cardio on Su-Tu-Th, and sometimes Saturday also in the Winter. In the Spring thru Fall Saturdays are reserved for car shows and cruise-ins.
Very nice! I have a Powertec lever gym. It's great for bench, pull downs, and squats. I can also use the lever arm to do dips, and like a Roman chair. I've got a curl bar and a straight bar, Bowflex "dial up" dumbbells- you can set them anywhere from 5# to 55#. I've got a jump box for plyometrics (great ski training), a heavy bag for my bad days and some cardio stuff. I like the Powertec because it feels like old fashioned weight lifting with an added safety feature- you can't drop the weights on yourself. Powertec Workbench lever gym "jump box", a straight bar and a curl bar. I do deadlifts with the straight bar mostly. The elliptical adds resistance to my cardio work out. It's a torture device, a real leg burner. The little treadmill is mostly for my wife, but I can use it for warm ups and cool downs.

Dave - Very, very nice collective set of equipment you have there! It looks like you have everything you would ever need. I usually don't make recommendations to friends unless I'm 110% sold on a product. The Bowflex Max cardio machine I have is supposed to combine both the motions of a regular elliptical and a climber, and supposedly burn more calories. I absolutely love mine and use the hell out of it. If you ever wear out your elliptical I'd recommend giving the Max a try.
My wife is also big into working out and staying fit. We share the big multi-station pulley/weight lifting cage in the basement, but she also has her own set of equipment in her "She" room.
My wife working out, with her body guards allowing no one to disturb her! LoL

Gabe and I are going tonight to watch my neighbor John's grandson play for the St. Louis Jr. Blues.
Norm, awhile back you asked me what level they were at and I really didn't have a clue other than they were an elite level type league. I found out he plays in the NA3HL, and this is a description of that league:
The NA3HL is the primary developmental partner league for the NAHL, it focuses on advancing players to higher junior levels and collegiate hockey (NCAA/ACHA) through a 48-game season and showcase tournaments. It is one of the premier Tier III leagues, featuring 38 teams across the USA in recent seasons.

My little grandson Keagan decided he wanted to go to the hockey game with Gabe and I last night. We all had a blast. I couldn't believe it held Keagan's interest the whole game. We were standing up against the boards/glass at one end near the goal, and we could really hear and feel the violence of the game as guys continued to get checked into the boards! We picked a great one to go to. The team we went to watch got down 2-0, but came back to tie it up 2-2 at the end of regulation. It was getting late and I asked the boys if they wanted to leave and they said "no way"! The game went to O/T and was still tied after that, and then went to a Shootout. The game was still not decided until the 4th shooter when the opposing team finally scored and we did not. Excellent game, and excellent time with the grandsons! 😃
Norm - I believe those are M1 Carbines, chambered in the .30 US round, they are different than the M1 Garrand which you correctly identified as having the 30-06 Springfield round.
