Chris - I'll point out there is a different path to those date code stickers. If a manufacturer (most do) does not place a circular tag (date of manufacture) on the battery, the battery will be stamped (generally on the top). The 1st number and the 1st letter indicate the date of manufacture & the employee would place a stamp on the battery indicating sold date (date placed in service).
From what you described I have no way of knowing how old this battery is outside of the length of time I've owned the car? There's no indication that there used to be a label on top that might have been removed. I was going to snap a picture of it but it's too cold and miserable out there.

Art, you said it has a sticker labeled "6/13". To me, that would point to the battery being at least almost 13-years old.
I'm unaware of any manufacturer who doesn't use a heat stamp embedded on the battery cover (housing) or top cover (housing) somewhere. Stickers fall off, manufacturers are held to a little higher standard than simple stickers (generally) - especially Duralast, A manufacturer must be able to validate production dates for many reasons, the least of which is warranty.
The attachment (battery_date_code_info) to this post is a basic battery decoder, as well as this video (below):
BTW, all this battery talk I decided to check my batteries (since I don't have a gazillion other things going on - NOT) - not the date codes; instead, their charge states. I have two Duralast Gold batteries in the 2003 Ford F250 diesel tractor purchased on the same date (I think it was last year).
Resting no load = 12.67 VDC (I think) - hell it was an hour ago.
Rrunning @ idle = 14.23 VDC.

Looks like you're all set.
Thanks for sharing that info.
They say things happen in 3's, I sure hope not. Dan had his PII hacked. This morning we had to have our joint Credit Cards shut down due to an attempted fraudulent charge. Luckily they did not get anything. For anyone that's been thru it, a real PIA all the way around. The worst part is changing all the "Auto Pay" functions! My Credit Union expedites replacement cards, 3 to 4 business days. Should have the new cards NLT Monday, hopefully Saturday.
I mentioned the other day we had alot of rain in the forecast for the rest of this week. Looks like the weatherman was right and the Spring monsoons have started for this Spring! It's been raining like crazy all last night and all this morning!
Someone did a poor job of grading the yard. Do you have a basement?
Yes, poor design/final grading drainage routes at those houses behind me. That is my white vinyl picket fence at the back of my yard in the 2nd pic. Luckily, my house is on the high ground above it and I have a walkout basement to the back yard. No worries of basement flooding at my house, but big worries for those homes down below behind me. I'm sure they have to have sump pumps and they're working overtime in these types of rainfall!

Chris, I had my debit card compromised several years ago. I received an email asking if made certain purchases ( N.Y., Seattle, L.A.) all within a few hours, by my Credit Union, and I said no, and they instantly locked my account, which was a good thing. I got a new card within a few days. No charges to me, and they told me that those charges were denied by the card company to whoever got my info.

Dan - My experience was almost exactly the same. I got a text, email, and phone call from Card Holder Services. Our card was already locked when they saw the 1st potential fraudulent charge, and after my confirmation over the phone the cards were then canceled. I'm just glad their fraud protection system/software is so good. The biggest pain will be changing all our auto-pay functionality for multiple accounts and we can't start doing that until we have the new cards in 3 or 4-days.
I've seen a few videos of how the thieves gets the info. They install card swipes at gas stations and convenient stores, sometimes right on the gas pumps.

Yep, you're right, that's certainly one of the ways.
The problem is there isn't any deterrent for when they get caught, just a slap on the wrist. Not like the old days when pop pop goes the weasel would make them think twice.
So, I corrected a couple of mistakes that I made this week. On Monday I stopped at a local chocolate shop that has been in business for decades, making their own chocolate goodies, and bought myself a few items. Mistake #1 mentioning that I went there to two female co workers. Mistake #2, not bringing them any of the aforementioned chocolate. I just came back from the chocolate shop with a pound of a couple mixed chocolates. All should be well in the universe.
Norm - I'm just starting to watch the Red Wings game. They had a terrific tribute before the game to Patrick Kane for becoming the All Time Americn Born Points Leader. Very nice!

Got back home this evening. If you ever want to have a really long day, fly east across the international date line. I got on the plane at 8 this morning, and landed in Atlanta at 730 this evening. In between I flew for 14 hours, had a 2 hour layover, then flew for 4 more hours.
My sister and Mom got home this afternoon. I stopped by to see them when I got home and they said they both had a nice time.
I'm beat. I'm gonna hit the sack and then hit the ground running tomorrow. Didn't get home in time to get Tiger. I'll catch up later. Hope everyone is well.
Art - Took several pictures of the top cover of one my two Duralast Gold 12VDC batteries. I didn't check for a circular sticker on any of the sides of the case since ea. of my batteries are enclosed in an additional cover. Pretty sure you have this all covered & we can put this to rest. I was noodling about the engine compartment (performing an ECU hard reset) early this morning & thought I'd take a couple images. Date code(s) = March, 2025. Have a good day.
Cool...Thanks for the battery education. I always enjoy your tidbits of information. Now if I could only keep the information in my head for longer than a day.

Mike - Glad you're home safely. Anxious to hear more about your trip when you get caught up and have time. Any interesting pics???
Lots of rain and thunder storms thru the evening and overnight. Monty did not have a good night which also means we did not have a good night. Then Maggie got me up at 0430 wanting to go out. Not raining right now which is nice, but it's still very overcast and looks like we could get more, but I haven't checked the forecast yet. It's supposed to get up to 80° here tomorrow.
Dawn and I are going to a school musical program for 2 of our granddaughters on her side this evening. We'll have to leave out of here about 5:10. We'll have about 2-hours of total driving to see a 1/2-hour program.
Not much else on tap here today. Hope everyone has a great day! 😃
It was cool and rainy most of the time I was in Australia, but it's warm and sunny today in the Greater Stockbridge Area. Slept in long enough for someone to call and wake me up. Then I got ready and mowed quite a bit, and went through all the mail I got while I was gone. Just got home from springing Tiger out of jail.
So my visit with friends was wonderful. Really glad to see everyone and we had a good time at the car show. Over 900 cars. Went to see my friend's folks for lunch one day, also went downtown Melbourne for a day. That place reminds me a whole lot of Chicago. Even has a river going through the middle of it.
The traveling was a big let down. I was excited because Delta has started to fly to Melbourne, which means I don't have to fly another airline and I don't have to get myself to Melbourne from Sydney. I got to sit in Ultra First Class on the way to Melbourne, which was nice, and tourist seats all other flights. Every flight we left late, in fact the plane left 2 1/2 hours late yesterday from Melbourne, which got me home too late to pick up Tiger. Waiting on passengers. Waiting for fuel. Those are rookie mistakes. We've been flying as an airline for 96 years, you'd think they'd have figured it out by now. I might go back to QANTAS next year. They have better service anyway.
I'm gonna have to dig out my pellet gun. There are a couple woodpeckers that sound like they are jack hammering on the side of my house. I went out to look and they have pecked huge holes in the siding and in the chimney. It will be awhile before I can cut down the trees that are their way points. I don't know why vermin are always attracted to me. Stray cats. Squirrels. Birds. For awhile I was getting every stray dog in the county. Enough already.
Okay gonna putter around a little, I'm expecting a phone call in just a little while. Hope everyone is having a good day.
Chris - Brightspeed installation was a breeze - went, as planned. My fiber cable is being installed underground. The actual below ground installation installers will be here in five days to bury the cable. Brightspeed contracts w/ local installers for the underground burial - which I'm fine with. The cable is laying on the ground at the moment - which I'm fine with until they arrive. The Brightspeed installation employee was very personable & did an excellent job. Brand new router, brand new modem, complete GUI configurable firewall & port trafficking. WiFi 7 Gateway router & modem Model Calix 7U10T.
Just prior to disconnecting my router/modem from Spectrum I measured my upload/download speeds via fast.com
Just type in the URL fast.com into your browser if you want to measure your own internet speed(s).
On Spectrum my download speed = 240 Mbps; upload speed = 13 Mbps.
I then measured my speeds after connecting to Brightspeed. Blazing fast...
