Yep, those are the pics I took yesterday that he posted on the Chrysler A Body forum. This is the text my buddy sent me after I sent him the pics this morning:

Nice flowers Jim. What kind? Added another two inches of rain last night, 11" since last Weds. More to come. They did a evacuation of residents downstream of the Croton Dam, which is about 50-60 minutes east of me. They say that the structure is good, but because of the flow, the river has been going way over it's banks, causing flooding to residents near the river. There are fears that a small dam in Hesperia, about 30-35 miles N.E. of me may fail. They have an evacuation going on there as well. That one is on the White river. It will be decent tomorrow for one whole day before we get more rain. I will get the Olds home and into my garage.

Dan - That's a bunch of rain for sure! Sounds pretty sketchy in several areas up there! I hope no one loses their life with all the flooding! Stay safe.

At one point I had over 75 Azaleas. Because of various landscaping activities I'm down to about 40 Azaleas. Images I took of some of them last week.

My day has been a literal hell on wheels for more reasons than I care to share &/or discuss w/ anyone. Suffice it to say I hope this day ends soon.

Short story: Truck is being towed to my PowerStroke Services mechanic/garage tomorrow morning. I grabbed a rental car (LONG STORY). Done talking about it.

I read everyone's posts - I lack enthusiasm for responding to posts. I'm bushwhacked.

A modestly unique white Azalea. Most of my Azaleas are South facing. This lone Azalea is located on the North facing side of the house. It's a nice departure from the other pinks & purple varieties.

Good evening guys, better late than never. Seems like I just said this, but with more rain coming tomorrow I really needed to get out and mow today. With the grass already long, and heavy rains last night, I had to wait until almost noon for it to dry out before I could get started. Couldn't get all the weedeating done I wanted to because my battery died sooner than it usually does so I guess I'd better get on Amazon and order one pronto. Good news is I have the front yard looking like Augusta National. With the cooler temps and abundant rain this is probably as good as it will look all summer.

Rain in the forecast for tomorrow into Saturday morning with the potential for localized flooding. It's not looking good for a weekend car event! 😕

Good morning everyone.

Had some cards left over from the 430 guys and it looks like that will be it for the day for me. I don't have a wall guy, and the two wall guys we do have seem to want to give all their cards to the other guys. Hey, I can sit and look at the internet all day. Typical for Friday we have a skeleton crew. Our management couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

I love azaleas. I had several around my house and carport and years ago, for reasons that are unclear to me now, I let a friend of mine dig them all up and put around a house he just bought. I'd drive past that house and think how nice they looked, and that they wouldn't have looked that nice if they stayed where they were, and then he sold that house and the new owner pulled them all out. I got big flowering bushes in front of the porch at my house, but I don't know what they are. Big purple flowers come out several times a year. Very pretty.

Chris I posted on FABO that I loved the Dart. Your friend said, Chris told my you have Valiants! Your yard always looks nice. You should paint the phone thing like a little soldier or something. Camo.

Norm, just take a break. You've got some bad juju going, let it pass. I hope the place you're having the truck towed to isn't the place that messed it up! Unless you're giving them the chance to make it right. You're a better man than I if that's the case.

Okay got a couple cards then I'll take a break. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

You guys in Georgia and Missouri are quite ahead of us as far as spring weather. Dan, as you know all the dams are getting scary.. They talk of 100 year floods- are we in one? We usta go our to the Hardy Pond to camp. (Hardy Pond is the flooding from the Hardy Dam on the Muskegon river- for those who don't know.) So I am a little familiar with the Hardy and Crouton dams. Boy what a catastrophe that would be if Crouton dam were to fail!! If Hardy Dam were to fail OH MY GOD! Consumers Energy is attempting to get out of the "Dam" business- it is quite a story about it.

I feel like today I might be able to recover my life (as I know it). Let's add topping to the cake. Last night I woke up w/ (apparent) food poisoning - gut wrenching pain & back/forth to the commode (a miserable F'ing night). Tow company had truck on the flatbed at 8:30am. I didn't need to go to the mechanic garage (Power Stroke Service), but I did anyways (since I have a rental car). I have every intention of doing absolutely nothing remainder of today.

Hang tough Norm. Turn on some golf Hilton Head Island coverage and kick back. 7up, Chicky Soup and some saltines. The tractor will get sorted out. Hope you feel better soon

Mike - That was nice of you to post on FABO that you loved my friend's Dart. He told me he was wondering how well it would be received on there because he said there are quite a few members on that forum that are extremely critical about originality. I told him that anyone that loves the hobby should love his resto, he saved another one. Hell, his car looks like it it's 99.9% original to me anyway! He doesn't drive alot, but he does intend to use the car as his daily driver and take it to some local shows and cruise-ins.

Want to hear something weird, I scrolled past that photo of my yard and thought, I should paint that utility junction box, which I believe is the Charter Internet (which we don't use). I'm wondering whether you have to get some kind of permission to paint them? Are you familiar with the cartoon/movie characters "The Minions"? The box is the perfect shape to turn into a Minion.

Chris & Everyone thanks for the well wishes. I'm familiar with The Minions. Instead of elaborate painting (whatever), I've seen those minion goggles sell for cheap ($5-$10) at Target, Walmart, etc. Maybe just hang a pair around the junction box. The novelty is likely to wear off fast anyways (by the time the goggles wear out for sure).

Permission? Just do it. If they don't like it they will come out and repaint it. I'd bet no one of any consequence in that company would ever know it. Give it a different paint job each week, you might make the papers.

Had a gyro for lunch. The pita, not the instrument. Hadn't had one in years, it was yummy.

Think I'll change oil in the 57 Chevy this weekend. Several of the cars need an oil change. I need to get with it. And everything needs washing.

Norm - I'd actually have to find someone with some artistic skill to paint it as a Minion (Dawn could probably do it), but you're right the novelty would probably wear off quickly. The Minion Googles are a good idea and would be cool for awhile though. I'd still like to paint it just to spruce it up. I hate the color it is right now, what I call that ugly "Hospital Green", and it gets marred up because I can't seem to keep the mower tires off of it. I wouldn't mind painting it a very dark green or even black.

OK men, it's past noon here and I haven't done jack $hit other than sit and drink coffee. Time for me to get off my **** and get busy. I will try to double up on my workouts this afternoon because I skipped my cardio yesterday in lieu of mowing.

Took a look at the weather and weatherman is still calling for rain tonight into the early morning so a Car Show early tomorrow is probably off the table. It's supposed to be partly sunny and dry during the day tomorrow, and there's a monthly cruise-in at Culver's in Festus tomorrow that I've been to several times. Hoping the roads dry out, I'd really like to get the car out, and the cruise-in is a nice option because it's only about 8-miles away.

Hope everyone has a great day! 😃

Curious how your HOA would respond to a minion.

Mike - I absolutely love a Greek gyro - especially smothered w/ Tzatziki sauce.

Norm I got the sauce on the side. That way I control how much sauce I get, not some I Hate My Life high school dropout. It's a good place though, and expensive so I don't go often.

What's the HOA gonna say, it isn't Chris' junction box.

Finished with 37 wheels. I wouldn't have guessed that this morning. I ended up with two wall guys and a couple fast robot guys.

It wouldn't surprise me that both would have something to say. What I really don't want is Spectrum trying to fine me for defacing their equipment. I say F-you to the HOA, I could go around the subdivision and pick out 50 violations by other homeowners of the HOA by-laws that they've chosen not to enforce! I don't think they want a fight with me!

Well, I got both workouts done and I'm pooped. Went out to my favorite local burger joint and got burgers for me and the pups. Dawn thinks their food is too greasy and won't eat it anymore. Had a couple beers with my burgers and now I feel twice as pooped. If I take a nap I'll feel like $hit later and won't be able to sleep tonight, so caffeine is on my agenda.

Well, the NHL regular season is over and the playoffs start tomorrow. After a great 1st half of the season where they were in 1st place, or near 1st place, in their Division during the 1st half of the season, the Detroit Red Wings completely went off the rails after the NHL break for the Olympics and didn't even make the playoffs. What a colossal collapse! I had really been hoping to be able to cheer for them in the playoffs, I can't even imagine how their fans in Michigan feel. What a let down!

They are calling for the possibility of some very severe weather west of us this evening in Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri area near Kansas City. Talking about the potential for EF4 level tornadoes, hail, and heavy rain. I believe it's supposed to weaken some by the time it gets to us, I sure hope so!

Hope everyone has a great evening and weekend! 😃
