Thanks Norm, it was! I actually like the frozen Home Run Inn pizza better than fresh pizza from most take-out chains. There are a couple of non-chain pizza joints that we really like, but they're both more than a half-hour away. We usually have pizza at least once a week since both of us like it so much.
Chris, that pizza looks good. Got a new set of tires on the Hyundai yesterday. Falken Wilderness A/T. Quite and smooth, the Nokians were getting noisy. The local tire shop charged me less than the Tire Rack, who wanted $178 per tire, I paid $173 per tire, which included mounting & balancing. Supposed to get 6"-10" of snow along the lakeshore over the next 48 hours. Gonna make some homemade chocolate covered toffee for work next week. been awhile since I made it. Just have to find the receipe, it's around here somewhere. I'll be making rum ***** as well, soon.

Dan - That Chicago's Home Run Inn Pizza (multiple varieties) are sold in the Sam's Clubs and Walmarts down here. I would be surprised if Walmart Superstores don't have them there too. I'm gonna need tires on my Hyundai next year before winter if I don't unload it first. Haven't had any problems with it, YET, but I have this feeling I'm sitting on a ticking time bomb. The candy sounds good. I love chocolate covered toffee. Hope you don't get as much snow as they're calling for, but if you do be safe!
Norm, any idea why Chrome won't load on my computer? Click on the tab, but it will not open. Firefox is fine.
Dan - Sorry, just saw this. What Operating System are you running? What computer? I don't use Chrome, but it shouldn't be that difficult. You say you can't even get the Chrome program to load onto the computer? You'd need Administrator Rights to perform the installation. Are you logged on as an Administrator?
Dan - I re-read what you said. I don't think you meant you can't get Chrome to load - I think what you meant is you can't get Chrome to "run". Is that correct. IOW, Chrome is loaded but it won't open and run?
Dan, talking about tires, I forgot to update about mine. I ended up buying 4 Goodyear Assurance Extend 235/65R18s from Walmart online. They could only come to a address- not to the store! They are carried by Walmart online but not in stores. They were on sale on week of black Friday for $125. I waited to long (long story) and they went back to $145. each. Still ordered them and they came to house. Then took them up to local tire guy and had them mounted/ balanced for another $104. Total ended up being $715.00. They are a 80,000 tire and are a little rough, I hope they work out good. I think I saved a little but not enough to brag about.
--Chris I am gonna see if we can get that pizza here. I hate frozen pizzas usually. I always figured that a pie from a pizza place is made in a really hot pizza oven- like 7-800 degrees?? Of course our home ovens never go that hot. Anyway, I'll see if Wally's up here have the Chicago home run inn pizza.

Greg - I hope they have them so you can at least try them, everyone's tastes are different, but I think they're good, especially for frozen. Like I said, they offer multiple varieties down here including plain cheese, Pepperoni, Sausage, Meat Lovers, and I think a Pepperoni and Sausage Combo.
If you find them, here's a couple important tips to insure it cooks correctly:
1. These cook at a higher temperature and for longer than most frozen pizzas, at 450° F. Be sure the oven is completely up to 450° before putting the pizza in.
2. Do not let the pizza thaw at all before it goes in the oven, make sure it goes directly from the freezer to the hot oven.
3. Make sure you bake it in the center of the oven, vertically and horizontally, directly on the oven rack, NOT on a baking sheet.
4. Depending on the oven and variety, these will take 18 to 22-minutes or so to bake. Do not take them out of the oven until the cheese on the top is a good golden brown over the entire pizza, and a few small areas are even a little darker. This will insure the crust is good and crisp, and won't be soggy. The pic I posted above was cooked for 20-minutes. Of course the varieties with more toppings usually take longer. Good luck, I hope they have them for you up there!
My slider windows in the living room, bedroom have moisture between the pains and screwing up my view of across the canyon. Someone (glassman) is coming up the hill for an estimate to replace them today. Hope he isn't related to the BMW guy, it still hasn't been released from BMW prison...Tedd

Tedd - I hope the window guy gets your view/s cleared up without breaking the bank!
You certainly got it right (unfortunately) when you named the BMW "The Money Pit". Just my 2-cents, but I think if I wanted a convertible roadster, I'd start looking for something a little more reliable and cheaper to maintain, maybe a later model Miata??? Ya ain't having any fun in the BMW if it's always in the shop, just sayin . . . ? Good luck!
Got done a little before noon today. Not a stellar showing but pretty funny, because the lead kept harping and everyone kept going slower. That's it for me for 10 days.
I used to say even bad pizza is good pizza. But then one time I found some flat bread kinda thing on the airplane that they were trying to pass off as pizza, and it was so bad. I wonder if that was what started the bad ridership era. Pay two grand for a seat and then get crap like that? Yowza.
Tedd hope the window guy was kind to you. I've got one window in the back of the house where the seal is broke and it's starting to cloud a little. It's gonna stay that way.
Made a list of things I want to get done this weekend. I haven't heard anything about rain so I hope I can get something done.
Have a good evening everyone. I don't know if it's my computer or the website but suddenly I have auto-finish. It gets it wrong every time. I need to figure out how to turn it off, it's rather annoying.
The glass guy is related to or is the BMW guy. He had a good story and demo, but two sliders were about $17,000, of course that was with a doggie door. I had no idea that sliders were that expensive, Tedd will look through the fog, the view hasn't changed in the 35 years I've lived there. I'll check a few other glass shops for pricing, but I think I'm comparing prices in my mind that are 35 years behind the times.. Tedd
Unless you're absolutely hell bent on a sliding door (personally I hate them), you can obtain near top-of-the-line double entry doors with glass panes $2400 - $3400 for one set of standard insulated double-pane double doors. Shop around. Remove the slider(s) and drop in the doubles.
EDIT: Damn easy to install a doggie door on double doors since they sell various varieties you can install yourself.

Norm - That's damn good info in case one of my two sliders ever shoots craps! That's a helluva price difference! P.S. - I am no fan of sliders either!
In H.S. I could easily woof down a bag of White Castle sliders.
I'll qualify my previous statement on "sliders". I do not like sliding doors, but I love White Castle "sliders", with my favorite being their double cheese. I can easily sit down and eat 6 double cheese and a sack of onion rings. I won't go into the detail of the aftermath that may happen most of the next day!
I’m out until Jan 9. Gonna cost me 11 vacation days but I have more than enough. Got so many projects in mind, but time will tell how many actually get completed. Maybe I’ll just throw ***** for the dogs and take them for walks.
The one window in the house I did NOT replace was the sliding doors. It's an old Anderson and works well. It's out to a covered porch, so very little weather, and I use it very little.

Kenneth - Nice long break over the holidays, enjoy your time off!
Pretty darn chilly here this morning, 29° F, with a windchill of 21°. Nothing compared to what they're projecting for mid-week next week with lows in the single digits.
Going to another one of those joyful birthday parties for a grand-nephew this afternoon. I am not looking forward to going at all! It will be cold, it's an hour's drive one way, and flu and Covid are rampant and there will be a bunch of people crammed into a small space. I really don't want to come down with some bug before Christmas. This child is on my wife's side, and she really wants to go because she doesn't see many of the folks that will be there very often. You know the drill, I'm going.
Cemetery News This was the largest funeral weve ever had. We had News crews city hall haters and every chickens lover https://thegeorgiasun.com/2022/03/29...andrew-wordes/ Tomorrow is going to be another one Were expecting 100 cars and 50 motorcycles. The family arranger told me they are handing out kick stand pads so not to tear up the grass. Its spose to start at 2 and end around 5 I may take a snooze after I get everyone parked
Well, Norm, it's back. I rebooted the computer to 12/13 as that was the last day that Chrome was working. That was yesterday, and still nothing, until i tried it a few minutes ago after clicking on the icon, which is what I meant when I said that it wouldn't upload. FireFox was fine the whole time. When i bought this house, all of the windows had been up graded to double pane insulated glass, except of course the three 5.5' living room window$$, one of which is statring to fog up on occassion. I'm guessing that it won't be cheap when I replace it. Tedd, don't you have a Miata as well? Gtreg, that is a good price for tires, mine came out to $736 w/mounting and balancing. We have Christmas eve through New years day off, the days in between are paid, but they will ask us to work it, and at triple time for wages, I will be there. I'll probably take Jan 2&3 off, giving me a four day weekend to start the new year.

Jim - Meatloaf looks delicious. Not much cooking going on here, today. Finished the Tabouli I made the other day. Chili is gone.
One of my simple favorites - sliced tomatoes, melted cheese(s) over toast sprinkle w/ Italian Oregano.
I spent the majority of the day until 2:30PM finishing some painting then caulking. It was cold (chilly), but not real cold (~45°F), but it was cold - did I mention I was kinda cold? Up on scaffolding caulking with wet hands for several hours was chilly.
