AS "John" has said, a competent machine shop can install the bigger intake valve super easy, as since you are doing that then install bigger exhaust valve also.
Just how much you want to spend and how much power do you need, just my opinion.

No problem Gene! Thank you for adding your comments. Those who haven't as much experience with our beloved Oldsmobile's can easily be sucked into the idea of big valve C heads without understanding the full picture. I was recently surfing ebay and came across an auction where someone paid what I considered huge money for a rebuilt set of C heads. Hopefully members here can help folks get what they need and avoid being taken to the cleaners!

Thank you John. There is just so much hype put into the big valve "C" heads, it is unbelievable.
Like I said, on the street you will never feel the diff.

John, by chance do you have A/C parts numbers 399411 L H air outlet duct and 401232 hose for a 1968/1969 Cutlass. The air outlet duct connects to the air distribution duct on left side (drivers) with the hose that connects to the left side dash register. The hose connects to left side air outlet duct and the left side dash register.

2blu442........I am a newbie on here so please bear with me as I am still feeling my way around the site.

I just bought my wife a '64 Olds Cutlass F85. It's a decent cars, but needs a lot...I'll rephrase that...It needs A LOT of little things to bring it to my standards. The steering column has been replaced at one time and actually sits too far towards the drivers seat.Would you happen to have one of these without a column shifter. My shifter is on the floor. If you do, could you PM me the price.

Thank you in advance

Dan, PM replied to

wyteon, sorry I only had one extra and already sent that one to Allan

Kevin45, not sure if I have a floor shift column or not. I'll have to look next weekend. Please send me a reminder next Friday or Saturday and I'll see what I have.

Reaper-kid, sorry I don't have the rear bumper you need. If you've not created a parts wanted thread yet I'd encourage you to give that a try.

Do you have an ignition switch bezel or a glove box lock for a 65 Cutlass? The previous owner used pliers to tighten the bezel and the locking mechanism is broken on my 65 Cutlass.

Hi Tom
I might, but am not sure where the parts are right now. I'd encourage you to check with oldstata and HonestDave as they've both had 1964-65 parts in the recent past.

Tom, to send a PM (private message) or email left click your mouse over the person's name. Then you will see options of how to contact them. Or, go into your private messages and look down the menu on the left, you'll see one for Send New Message. There will be a box for who you want to send the message to, start typing their name in and names will show up in a drop down menu. If I didn't say it yet, welcome to the site! Let us know if you have any more questions about navigating around. John

Hi Bill, where are you located? I've got a bunch of TH350 transmissions that ran when pulled, can only say their solid cores now. I've got A-body rear ends, but I believe you'll need the Omega/Nova type housing. I know there were Buick and Pontiac models based on that platform too, but can't think of the names right off.

Hi Bill
Both the rear end and transmission will be expensive to ship very far. I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted thread and mention your location. I know there's members from many locations on this site. Hopefully someone nearby will have what you need.

Hey John,
Wondering if you would have a fan shroud for a 68 442? I assume they were the same on all the Cutlass in 68 and 69......

Thanks,
Ted

Sammy I have one, I will have to see what kind of shape it's in. I will also have to know if the GS 400 shroud is the same as the skylark 350. My email is
jjcus@localnet.com Send me an email and I'll get a pic to you.

Hi Ted
If jjcus has a spare check with him. I now have four dead 1968 442's, so I'll probably need whatever shrouds I can come up with

I've got some vintage radios but am not sure they work, or if I have the correct one for your car. Is your radio missing or just not working? In the long run it may be better to have one rebuilt rather than buy an old one that may quit working next month. Just my 2 cents worth. John

At this time the only thing I would have is the bumpers. But last Summer Scott picked up a 1977 442 parts car. You might check to see if he still has the parts you need. Here's a link to his thread:

Do you have any body trim for a 64 cutlass convert? I'm looking for trim for both sides of rocker panels, and right front fender trim. Thanks!

Sorry I don't. 1964 trim is hard to find and I'm still looking for some pieces for my projects. If you haven't created a parts wanted thread yet I'd encourage you to give that a try.

Bill, I've got complete engines but the only loose #5 head is a single, the matching one was cracked.

1965olds, I may have the radiator but not the floormat. Are you looking for one with specific codes or just one with Harrison tanks that will fit the 1965 Cutlass/442?

C.J. I'll look for the radiator this weekend. Sorry, I don't have the floor mat.

drptop70ss, I should have one. Due to my work schedule I'm limited to weekends for the car hobby. I'll try to dig one out and send you photos this weekend.
