TORSTEN: I'm trying to figure out what you CAN'T do! Excellent work. I have dabbled some w/fiberglass; it does get interesting. Your Olds is going to end up a lot better than it came off the line! Aron

Nice clean up work Torsten. I had to heat up and scrap off a ton of undercoating before I could even start prepping the floorpan for paint. Gave my shoulders a workout. But in the end, it came out great so it was worth the effort. I did the frame later when I lifted the body up about 6 inches. I wish the rest of the car had looked that good!

Lookin good Torsten.

Why don´t we get 4 of us together and put the body on the lift so you don´t have to lay down under the car?

I´m sure glad the floor on my Pickup wasn´t as big as yours.

I don´t think Torsten had any time last night because he is going to be gone for 4 weeks. The company he works for is sending him to Hamburg.

We put his Body back on his frame last night and I snapped pictures every once in a while from a tripod.

I couldn´t get the slideshow to run here in the forum so click on the link to go watch it.

Don´t work too hard up there in Hamburg.

I think your camera was just a little frozen. Maybe there was ice on the lense.
At -0.5 C° (31° F) Cameras don´t like to work too good.

I have no problem with working hard, you know that best
Ive worked in a company where i dont get paid for thatthats the difference

That could be possible....
When i snappd a picture, it turned out some smoke from the flasher, too...

Right now we have -12C° (9,5°F) and tonight we will have up to -22°C (7,6°F) up here in Hamburg
That will be nice work outdoors.....

I think its time for spring and some work on the cutty
Thanks again for Your Help!!!

In 4 weeks the snow will be gone and we will have wonderful weather where the paint dries and doesn´t freeze.

When it´s a little warmer I will try to get to the shop more often to help get those two cars back on the road and get my parking spot back...even thought the parking spot close to home is nice to have.

Guardian Angel!!!!!

Hi, bad news from our building here in Hamburg.....

Today our assembly manager felt off from our modules with a height of 4 meters.... and is well, no fractures .... nothing .... except for some strong contusions but puuh he had at least 3 guardian angels.....

Im still not hungry, it makes me feel sick, when i think about that accident.....

a piece of styrofoam and some loose ground saved his life, i think......

Whats the bottom line of that, never risk too much for the work.....

I attach a picture from one of our modules (its not from the current building cause i have no cable to put the pictures from my mobile phone on my laptop) They are about 16meters in length 3 meters width and about 3,5 meters in height....... weight from each is from 16 to 60 tons

Regards with a queasy feeling from Hamburg,

Torsten

Glad to hear that he didn´t get hurt to bad.
Don´t watch what you are doing for just a second......

And to raise your spirits a little, I was in the shop to work on Michael´s Bavarian Piece of Crap and had a little fun with yours too.

Sounds like a very lucky man, glad he wasn't hurt bad.
Thats what i thought, too.....
I ran down as fast as i could ran to get a doctor, after that I went to him.....

I checked him for amenability, i helped him stand up slowly, and all he just said was "lets go guys, let`s set the modules in place! We dont have time anymore!"

What a funny and lucky Guy!!!!!

And to raise your spirits a little, I was in the shop to work on Michael´s Bavarian Piece of Crap and had a little fun with yours too.
Why you dont push my little baby over to the lot on the left to work on the car lift....
A small exercise for you 2 but a big relief to work on your sons beamer easily ??!!!???

oH no, not the windshield......(its cracked anyway)

Torsten

You must have been very happy when you got the body back down on the frame. How's the paint on her?

Yes, I am!!!
The biggest checkpoint i wanted to pass till i was sent to Hamburg.....
And everything worked much better than i thought...
No clearence problems with the fuel and transmission lines .....
Also i have the best mechanics and Friends, too....Thanks Axel, Sean, Stefan and Moggl for the Help

Hmm i wish i had the money to do a nice paintjob but it s always the same
I will paint her when my pocket is full of money....

Its a (sorry for that, its called like that over here....) typical american paint job ..... its ok but away from perfect ..
I can and have to live with that...

A little polish and it will be fine for sum sommer cruising.....

Deadline to finish my cutty will be end of May but if you re far away from home and cant do anything on your baby, that s just annoying.....

A lot of work still to do...... and i have 2 weeks left up in here...

Greetings from Hamburg

Torsten

I got his bMw up high enough to work on and then seen he got the wrong starter so I let the thing back down and went back home. I did get the right starter put in last saturday down in the Car Clinic. (Sorry but it´s german)
I thought it was going to be easy changing the starter. It was kind of easy but I never want to change one again.

Before I left I wrote on your windshield. I wouldn´t have done it if it wasn´t cracked.

Hi guys,

not much progress today....

Ive sprayed all of the glass with oven cleaner and let it work for about 4 hours....
meanwhile i bolted the ac box together and plugged the two holes from the radiator (which ive deleted) with neopren rubber...

Then i cleaned off the glass with a ceramic scraper carefully from the old paint.... showered the glass with clear water and it looks great...

Then my Buddy Axel came over and we let the good things roll...
We took the first ride with his `69 Vette.... what a feeling
