Thanks Rob!!!!

The brakes will be easier to fix (I think.....)
Thats what i thought, too. And i can do the limited slip, as i wrote, at this point. Thats what i wanted to do next winter...

Maybe I should remove the "sitting around with a beer" times as I work...
I just "stay away" from the beer when im at the shop
When i do some "homework", something like the gauge housing, i also practice the "sitting around with beer" thing
So dont be afraid, you know when you deserve a cold BEER, buddy!!

Hi guys,
As i promised here are the updates from Today.

I received my new upholstery for the Buckets, headrests and the chrome stuff for the seats....

I like the quality of the new covers, ive heard not good things about PUI covers, these are a pair from them and they look really nice!

Then i went to the shop to start the dissasembling off the rear axle....

In the third picture you can see where the problem with the caliper is...

So the backing plates are finally blasted...

After that i cleaned them with brake cleaner and did a first zinc coating on them....
Tomorrow they will get some semi gloss black paint...

In the last picture you can see the major surface irregularities, i also found on the frame and some other places....
Just wondering where they came from ....?!?!?

Best Regards,
Torsten

Here some pictures from the bars that holds the "torque"....

Pinion bearing preload was set to 22 lbf inch - 2,5 nm

Also i had to make a custom gasket for my diff cover with gasket material,
because my local parts dealer is really flaky and did not get that tiny gasket and promised that he will!! get it.... wooow.... Time is money baby

Thanks Pat!!!
I definately want to cruise soooooon!

So rear axle were back on its place..
Master Cylinder and prop. valve were changed and brakes are bleeded again.
Everything fits like a glove.

And yes the car moves back and forward ... puuuuh

So but now i have a question:

I had a 35 tooth driven gear in my th350 (orig. rear end was 2.56:1...) which driven gear do i have to put into my tranny, with my new 3.42:1 and 255 60 r 15 tires in the rear ( 27 " tall), to get my speedometer reading correct????

Thank you!!!

Best Regards,
Torsten
