It would be cool to see one produced without the Spoiler. I can't imagine but one or 2 slipping thru.

Next Question:
The Indy 500 has used a pace car since 1911. Since 1911, How many of it's Pace Cars were Oldsmobile's? And what was the last Oldsmobile to pace the Indy 500

The original prototype of the vehicle that became the F-85 in 1961 was unique in what way?

That is true, but not what I was looking for.

Actually, no.

To clarify, the car I'm talking about was not the F-85, but a precursor prototype of a compact car that never made it to production. The time frame would have been around late 1958-early 1959 or so. It was unique and unlike any Oldsmobile ever built.

Complete with the rear-mounted, air-cooled flat six. Really, it was just a Corvair with Oldsmobile badges and interior.

Well done. The floor is yours.

The 1949 Indianapolis Pace Car had special equipment that ended up needing to be modified. What was the equipment and why did it need changing?

Geez, I forgot all about it. I'll give the answer later today when I can come up with another question.

Really, I thought this was pretty easy.

Heck I forgot again. Okay, the 1949 Pace Car had chrome rockets on the fenders, and they had smoke coming out of them as the car drove around the track, sort of like the exhaust of a rocket. They had to be disabled because the drivers couldn't see through the smoke.

Hm, okay what was RE Olds' Mom's name?

I figured that one would get answered pretty quick. Of course I thought the chrome rockets would be answered pretty quickly as well. Hm.

Okay Pat, onward.......

Close Brett, not to sound like the teacher but you need to re-read my original question, and 5 of 6 are correct, and the incorrect one would be right for the late 80's.

Yeah, that "craft center" (actually, wasn't it "craft centre"?) would have been the Reatta Craft Centre, originally, later the site for other specialized assembly operations like Cavalier convertibles and the EV1 (just don't call it the "Impact"). It was formerly a foundry.

Which makes the other five Chassis, Engine, Body, Metal, and Parts.

OK Joe you have the floor and the craft centre would be correct!
Plant 2 besides foundry work also did rear drive axle assemblies.

Sorry, I got distracted.

This should be easy. What was the first model year that GM used the "G-body" designation?

OK Jedidiah we have a breech of etiquette here! I mean no insult here and welcome anyone to ask a question but this is how it goes, be the first one to answer the question properly and you have the right to ask the next question

Thanks Ryan, I believe that you had answered Jed's question properly.

TRIVIA QUESTION: Movie/Olds trivia, in the movie Smokey and the bandit at one point in the movie scene was outside the dinner we see sheriff Justice walking by an Olds, model, color and year.

Thank you Pat

To follow Pat's lead......

In the movie Casino about the 2 hr 24 min mark into the movie, after shooting up the cops house. The very next scene Joe Pesci and his cohort is walking out of the "Gold Rush" and the Feds are surveilling them from across the street in a motel room. They know they are being watched so they walk and talk with a hand over their mouth. Well this car is used here and there on the movie but this scene is one of the better shots of this desirable A-Body Oldsmobile. Name the year, model and color(s) for this beauty.

I've never seen Casino, and I tried to see it on youtube and it wanted to charge me! Who the hell ever heard of paying for youtube. That's what all those annoying commercials and ads are for.

Uncle!
