Funny Ken! But thanks! Boy we have a second round of bad thunderstorms coming through right now. Had the first round about 20 minutes ago. Flash flood warnings out everywhere. The rain is coming down in sheets! Wind is blowing strong. Lightening is everywhere!! I don't like it. Rt. 91 is probably gonna be flooded down by I-480, dammit.

Hope my mater plants aren't knocked over on the deck again when I get home.

Everybody seems to have gone away for the weekend? Or sleeping in maybe. Another hot one today and no car to cruise in with the top down. Oh well I guess I can go out and pull some weeds. For some reason they grow in the heat when little else does.

Morning All!

In the 70's here this morning, heading up to 90. Still tropical wet outside - yuck!!!! Had those storms come through yesterday afternoon and evening, just made the humidity worster!!

It's cloudy out here now. Been looking at the online weather channel - wanted to go over to a show in Akron from 1 - 4 today, but I dunno. Shows a chance of thunderstorms later, some severe, and the percentage starts going up around 2:00. I would really hate Teepo to get poured on!! There's no rain date listed on the ad. Damn I hate to sit home all weekend when there are shows to go to!!! Guess I'll keep an eye to the sky and the weather channel and see how it's lookin.

Wolfie! Great to hear from ya!! It's 33 degrees there already? That's like winter. I can't even think of it yet. Our days are starting to get shorter already, just by a few minutes, but you can tell the difference. I'm starting to get depressed already! It's gonna be August in like a week already. Not fair!!! I'm gonna have to put Teepo away - with no friggin driveway - so she has to go in early. I can't think about it yet!!!!!

Had to give Doodle his antibiotic this morning.... what fun that was! I put on my old winter coat so he couldn't claw me to death! He hates to be held, but I had to pick him up and put him on my lap, and of course he's growling the whole time, but has his jaws clamped together tight. Had a helluva time! Still didn't get the whole dropperful in, but some is better than nothing I guess, lol! Have to do it again tonight. They called and said his blood work is all good! Wants him to get the rabies vaccine and lukemia one in a few months, so I guess I'll get that done.

Well I better get off of here and do something this morning. I slept in until almost 9 this morning, so I'm runnin behind! Have a great day all!!

Evenin all!

Well it rained here around 11 am till about 12:30, so I went over to Nicole and Dave's apartment and took some of her stuff. Discovered she got herself a friggin tatoo on her back, right below her neck! (sorry Adrian) I about ****! I think it's a butterfly, I was soooo mad I didn't really pay attention. I think she's had it a couple months now. Every time I see her, she has a T shirt on, so it's covered. I can't believe it. Nothing I can do about it I guess. I swear I don't know why she does what she does.

So by the time I got home, it stopped raining and the sun came out. My God was it muggy!! Just miserable. I decided to go to the show in Akron, since the weather showed only a 10% chance of rain until 6 ish. Glad I went! Not a whole lot of cars there, I was surprised. We did get to park in the shade for a change. I was soppin wet when I got home though, and I don't usually sweat. The heat index was 103 here, they just said on the local weather. I turned on Teepo's AC when I got close to home. I hardly ever run it. Boy did the belt squeal for a minute!! Then it stopped. I hit the shower the minute I walked in the house, lol!

We had storms come in around 6:15, and they're still with us. Power flickered once, but stayed on. Gonna have storms on and off again tomorrow too they just said. Next weekend looks the same way in the extended forecast, but that's a ways away.

I have the Solon Charity cruise next weekend and one other show, so I hope they miss on the rain. I got poured on at Solon last year, I remember. I was not happy!!

Had some steaks and taters on the grill tonight. Yummmmm......

Jamesbo... that cream cheese sounds like a good idea! I'll have to get some. Took me 3 tries tonight to get the medicine down him! God, he's worse than a kid!

Well have a good night all. Talk to ya tomorrow. No shows planned. Just housework.

I guess I need to convert Canadian temps into American. 46 is about 112 F.
37 is body temperature which is 98.6. 0 is freezing point 32F and 100 is boiling point of water or 212F.

Morning All!

Another muggy wet morning here. Just yucky outside! Goin up in the 90's again. So Wolfie, I guess I thought you all were cold, lol! Thanks for clarifying that!

Jamesbo.... I love raisin bread and that sounds really good! Never had french toast with raisin bread.... Larry made ham and eggs and fried taters this morning.

I'm just gonna do housework today. Then I'll go out and sit on my swing and read my book until I can't stand the humidity any longer.

Have a great day all!

Here it is!

To convert from Celsius to Farenheit, use this equation:
F=(C x 9/5) + 32

To convert from Farenheit to Celsius, use this equation:
C=(F-32) x 5/9

OR JUST USE YOUR HEAD
Here's a trick for converting Celsius to Farenheit in your head:

1) double the Celsius temperature
2) subtract one tenth of this value
3) add 32

EXAMPLE: let's use 30 degrees C as an example.
1) double the Celsius temperature (2 x 30 = 60)
2) subtract one tenth of this value (60 - 6 = 54)
3) add 32 (54 + 32 = 86 degrees F)

Wolfie, I think we're both too old for this stuff.

Good morning all

Took advantage of yesterdays hot weather (75 degrees) and stained the front deck side walls. Today is another hot day so I'll stain the rear second story deck. Supposed to be good until Tuesday when the rain is to return. That will allow enough time to dry. Looked longingly at the 67 Olds it keeps trying to tell me to put its windows down and go cruising and to heck with the decks. God its hard to ignore. Well back to staining.
The french toast sounds great Jamsbo. I had hash browns with onions and peppers along with a couple of fried eggs this morning. I am batching it since by other half is visiting a friend in Denver. Peace and quite is a good thing

Have a great Sunday all.

Morning everyone, been a little since I was on I have been working like crazy at the moment, lots of ot.

I finally got the rest of the parts sent off to the machine shop a couple of days ago. They will finish it all off for me including balance

At work they have offered a couple of adult apprenticeships and I have applied for both of them. One is an electrician and the other is a fitter and turner. Here's hoping I get one so I'm not just a machine operator all my life I had to do an aptitude test to see if I'm suited for the job or not, felt like I was back at school again

Well time for some more work around the house, take care ya'll ttyl

Good Monday Morning Everyone!

Going to be another hot one today but with a good chance of the wet stuff.

I've got to go buy some parts to repair my aunts A/C unit. It went out Saturday and I got it running with some used parts, so I'd feel better with new ones. Plus it is too hot to be without A/C in this neck of the woods.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Mornin' all. Wow, exciting race yesterday. They called it off after only 1 lap. Storm rolled in quick. Started with a nasty lightning strike that sent a spectator to the hospital.

http://www.kktv.com/home/headlines/L...126093919.html

Then the hail and rain caused a small flash flood that washed parts of the course away.

Oh well, maybe it'll be better next month.

Morning All!

Humid and cloudy here. Had some light rain this morning early. The humidity is supposed to lessen this week, thank God! If I wanted tropical all the time, I'd live in the jungle, lol!!!

Clay is out making sales calls this week in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin, so it's gonna be a quiet week in here without his loud Texas southern drawl! He's my favorite, so I hate it when he's gone....

Jamesbo must be out smacking whitey around, huh?

Scott..... have you heard from the interviews yet?

Adrian! Great to finally hear from ya!! Sounds like you've been busy. Don't be a stranger!!!

Today is my sister Jean's 73rd birthday. She's gonna pick up Linda and come down tonight. I'm gonna put a pork tenderloin on the grill, and some burgers. Invited Nicole to come over too - sure grumpyass won't like that much but too bad! I got Jean a Dairy Queen Hawaiian blizzard cake. Her favorite!!

Well have a great day all!

Hi Jamesbo! Larry don't know anything about that friggin tatoo, and he ain't gonna either, lol!!!!! Sorry to hear you couldn't golf today. The nerve of the place, right??

I haven't tried the cream cheese on the cat yet.... darn- I forgot about it when I went to Giant Eagle at lunch time and got hamburger buns. I got the medicine in him easier this morning. Maybe he's becoming resigned to the fact that mama is gonna do it, no matter how he growls, lol! He seems to be doing better. That high priced fleas stuff is really working too. I'm finding dead ones on him. I used the Hartz stuff from Wal Mart on him before, but I reckon it's not as good as this stuff.

The humidity is really leaving us today! It's almost nice out again!! I like it!!

I have almost finished the clubhouse for Mini too, just have to put something on the floor and some skirting boards. Let me know what ya'll think of it

Sandy that is one expensive cat you have there, or your vet is a rip off

Take care everyone ttyl

Gotta go to de big city dis mawn'in. Gonna crusie wit de Vista cruiser cause the cad converter in my truck is act'in up. I hate these new cars.

Sandy, It might be before your time ere But Dan had a thread 'bout tatoos. Ya could post a pic of Nicole's there. I'd kinda like to see it.

Adrian, de club house is look'in good. I'm sure Scot could add a/c wit no problem [excpet maybe de plane trip]

Scot, How's de job hunt go'in? Did you smile dur'in de interviews and say "Yes Mam/sir" ?

Don, De Vista ain't got no fancy rear view mirro with temps /directions in it. So, I won't know how hot it is or which direction I go'in dis mawn'in. I don't know how I'll manage. Course, It ain't got alot of things that don't werk. It just runs on down the road. Don't even have power winders.

Good Tuesday Morning All!

X2 on the hot and muggy weather.

Still haven't heard anything yet from the interviews Something will come up, soon I hope. And yes all smiles and polite as a southern gentleman should be.

Sandy they have a special on the peaches this week, 10 lbs for $10. Still clueless on how to ship them where they won't spoil or get all bruised up.

Adrian that is a great looking club house! I see a chalkboard and what looks to be a dry erase board as well. I bet she loves it.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Morning All!

Still a little muggy here, and sun is shining. Going up to 87 degrees today. 90's by the end of the week. It's starting to get darker earlier again.

Had a nice get together for Jean's birthday last evening. The pork tenderloin was delicious, also had some burgers and hot dogs. Made macaroni salad and baked some sweet taters on the grill. Sent leftovers home with them. The Hawaiian blizzard cake was good! Cool and refreshing.

Larry didn't talk to Nicole at all. Matter of fact he went in the living room when she came into the kitchen. I've about had it with them!

Jamesbo..... what I thought was a butterfly on Nicole's back is actually the "heartagram" symbol or whatever it's called from her favorite band "HIM". I'll have to see if I can find a pic of it online and post it. Enjoy driving the Vista today.... guard it with your life while it's in the big city, lol!

Adrian.... I love the club house! What an awesome job you did! I love the colors!! Bet Minnie is excited, huh?

Scot...... sure hoping you hear from those interviews. I'm making it my project today to see how to ship peaches! 10 lbs is a lot of peaches, lol, but what a deal! They're about $1.79/lb. here and hard as rocks! I also love Cherries, and they sell for $4.99/lb and higher!!! When I can get them on sale for like $2.99/lb I always get some.

Nicole has that interview this afternoon - keep your fingers crossed!

Have a great day all!

Jamesbo.... you're bein a shi* again!!! You live there where you can get them anytime! I don't know how many pounds? How much does a peach weigh, lol? There's an assignment for you Jamesbo, lol! Give ya something to do to keep ya out of trouble!!

I won't eat them until they get nice and soft. I dunno - I'd like to have at least 10 peaches... last me at least a week, lol! I might even share with Larry. Just see what you can get the best deal on. They should keep a while in the fridge I would imagine. You let me know how much $$ fruit and shipping, and I'll send you a check to cover it all. This is soooooo nice of you Scot!

No problem Sandy, I'll check today for the best prices, but I think 10 lbs for $10 is pretty good. Never know though, sometimes I've seen them for $.69 lb. These Elberta peaches are probably more than 6 oz though. I'd say 10-12 oz at least.

Check, USPS money order or paypal is fine. I'll let you know in a bit.

.69 cents a pound??!!!!!! Holy Toledo batman, that's cheeeeeeeep!! I'd love to go buy peaches for that price. Or nectarines. Or plums. Or heck, any kind of fruit! Wow.
That just amazes me.
