Hi everyone.

Sunny off and on so far today. No Elsie for the rest of the week. Might get a chance to mow before too long.

Jamesbo I'm gonna guess Charleston.

So I was at the Awful house this morning and the subject of fried chicken came up. I said I never did find me some and everyone of course said go to Popeyes, Bojangles, etc. I said I want good fried chicken. This one guy says, if you want good fried chicken go to the Dillard House. I said, I've been trying to get there for months!

Not sure what I want to do today. It's nice but still muddy. Got some rain last night just as I was headed out to Summit. So no cruise in. Maybe I'll just play with the dogs all day. My girl's face is doing much better today.

Okay have a good day everyone.

Ya I saw that. It was me, driving my Japanese 1/2 ton pickup truck 150mph, and then still driving after 35000lbs of jetliner landed on the back.

Good morning everyone.

Beautiful out but chilly. Gonna warm up, though.

Jamesbo an airplane has various checks it needs based on time and/or cycles, and most are designated by letters. For our purposes, an A check is basically slam the doors and kick the tires. A B check is a bunch of operational checks of components and flight control lube, a C check is a little more heavy where things get taken apart, and a D check is like overhaul and everything comes apart.

Just wasn't feeling it at 5 this morning when my boy came to get me, so after he came back in I went back to bed. Decided around 8 that I'd forego the Awful house and just fix something here. I forgot the real purpose of going to the Awful house, and that is to get me going and out of the house. Right now it's 930 and I'm still in my jammies. By the time I get ready and get to my errands it will probably be lunchtime.

Got an old camping trailer that has long since given up the ghost, so today I'm going to liberate it of the rest of its skin. I thought I'd sell it on ebay and maybe end up on one of those fix up the vintage camper shows as the hardnose guy with the last piece of [whatever] in the world.

Okay this isn't getting anything done. Have a good humpity everyone.

Whelpt, don't have long... been working on SF this afternoon (damnable brake woes). Now I needs to eat, then do a few preparations for CTC in the a.m.

Jamesbo: I have! My Mom -- who was a cook extraordinaire -- used to do that when we were kids and we'd "kill ourselves" in her words (meaning -- more or less -- "go crazy") with excitement and enjoyment.

I've never done it myself, and I've never had it at a restaurant. But after we go to Middendorf's when you come down, we'll go to Rocky & Carlo's in Chalmette for fried chicken & baked macaroni.

Clint, we're watching you.

Y'all have a real one... Will try to snap a few worthwhile pic's at CTC.

Good morning everyone.

Got up early and went to the Awful house. I didn't get going yesterday until almost 1. That's the reason I go to the Awful house on my days off. It gets me out of the house and not lollygagging around.

Jamesbo I'm sure you can find a nice place inland. Like Birmingham.

So someone asks on one of my [local] forums, what movie is going to be filmed in Swan Lake(that's the neighborhood I live in)? Didn't think much of it. Drove past a church not far from my house and the lot was full up with campers and trailers and trucks of all kinds. Didn't think much of it. I've even seen signs stuck in the ground that said catering and crew, then today a guy who owns a house on the other side of the lake says, I couldn't get to my house because they had Lakeshore roped off and there was a film crew there. Ding! They must be filming a movie in Swan Lake. Hm.

John hope the cruise goes well today.

So I've been hearing this squealing noise coming from my truck for weeks. I was certain it was coming from the left front wheel. Well the other night I was backing into the parking space at work and I had the window open and the noise was clearly coming from underneath. Finally got with my neighbor yesterday and we went for a ride, then he stood outside the truck while I inched forward. He had a can of spray and got under and sprayed some dust seal on the back of the transmission. Squeal went away. He said it had shrunk and was dragging on the shaft. Made me feel sort of dumb, I could have figured that out but I was too focused on it being a Ujoint. Sometimes you need someone on the outside for a different prospective.

Gonna mow this afternoon then I don't know what. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hi everyone.

Went to the Awful house and the credit union. Twice. Just as I was getting into the neighborhood I saw my neighbor and he had just left to walk to the credit union. He's kind of nuts and doesn't drive. I didn't tell him I was just getting back from there, but I took him, and luckily he didn't want me to wait for him.

Jamesbo I thought you weren't going to SC for a few weeks? Even if you left now in the Deuce, you wouldn't get there before the rain ended so you'd be golden. And deaf.

Last day off. I feel so relaxed after being away from work for an extended amount of time, I'm really liking the early retirement idea. My blood pressure might get down to a normal range.

I heard rain for tonight. Yuck. Gotta finish mowing then I think I'll do some painting. Oh found out that filming was for an episode of a show about super heroes, for the Play Station network. I didn't know there was such a thing. Guess I'm not going to watch it.

Okay have a good afternoon.

Hola -- I think I was born hungry, I live hungry, and if I'm fortunate enough, I'll die hungry. To re-kindle the pangs for you guys, we stopped at the Silver Slipper and partook of the Jubilee Buffet. I've been hearing the commercials for years ("Voted best on the coast," etc.) so I figured it was then or never. We weren't disappointed. It wasn't what you'd call "gourmet," but there was way too much food, and it was certainly decent. I started off with a monster salad to cushion things a bit. .

It was a big bluebird day (and week, in fact) for CTC. It was on the hot side, but I'll take that to any rain, cold, or heavy winds. Cruisers were out in force, although today and tomorrow will be the biggest days.

I did make good on the pic's at CTC:

Cruisin' The Coast '15

They leave a little to be desired when compared to being there, but better than nuttin', huh?

OK... as far as the Plantation, still pretty hot -- and Elsie seems to have passed away. But I'm not complaining.

Jamesbo, hope y'all resolve the travel issues.

Y'all have a great Columbus Day weekend, folks.

IMO That still looks like a Chevrolet wheel. Most of the Cutlass 1970/71/72 wheels had a pearl inlay like this. Also note the difference where the horn pad is angled at the ends, unlike the one you're looking at.

Hi everyone.

Cloudy and rain will happen at 745, says the Weather channel. Last night we got rain starting around 2am. Went to bed around 3 and at 4 the thunder started. The dogs were okay before then. So it was the usual jump up on the bed and get down and drool on my face, so I grabbed a pillow and slept on the couch for a couple hours. After the storm left I got back in bed and slept until after 2. When it's cloudy the dogs don't bother me much.

Johnny that looks like a late 60s Camaro wheel. Sell it to the Chevy crowd and make big bucks. Your stock 72 wheel is going to have a soft cover in more of a delta shape, unlike the 70-71 wheel. I actually like the 70-71 wheel better, and the rally wheel better yet.

Dan hope the show was a good one. Our shows sometimes run into December, but the last ones can be cold as a witch's.

Monday for me. Actually Day 2 as I took last night off. No idea what's in store but you know what, I have that calm, relaxed feeling after being off all week. Hope it lasts for awhile.

Okay off I go. Have a good evening everyone.

Not a bad day for a car show, nippy early on, but with a little sun, it warmed up a bit, but as the day wore on, so did the wind. Pentwater is a tourist town near the shores of Lake Michigan, so it can be cool this time of year, but nevertheless a nice show..went there with my buddy and his son, grabbed pumpkin brown sugar pancakes for breakfast, mmm. This town draws a lot of folks from Chicago $$, but there are Michigan folks who, drive quite a ways with their classics to attend this show, all in all a good day.

Looks pretty rough. You also need the horn contact and spring to make it work. I guess you could always wrap the rubber with a leather.
