The judge had just awarded a divorce to Lena , who had charged non-support. He said to Ole, "I have decided to give your wife $400 a month for support."
"Vell, dat's fine, Judge," said Ole. "And vunce in a while I'll try to chip in a few bucks, myself."

Morning All!

It's raining here today. Rained most of the night too. But it's in the 40's now and going up. We're supposed to have a nice day tomorrow - high 60's and some sun. High 70's on Sunday with possible storms!! I'll take the warmth, lol!! Think I may even grill something! That'll be nice.

I'm glad it's Friday. Been a long boring week. Quiet in here.

Worked on cleaning out Teepos trunk channel last evening. Scraping is so much fun, lol! There is a thin coating of black that is very shiny and looks like it's baked on or something along the bottom of the channel. Wonder if it's the original stuff that was put in there at the factory? It's not that bad, which surprises me. I think I wasted $16.99 on a quart of adhesive remover that I'm not gonna be needing.

The new seal is confusing to look at and figure out how it goes in that channel. I printed some pics and instructions.... hope I don't put it in backwards, lol!! It's not gonna be easy to get the sealer in that channel and on the weatherstrip. It's gonna be a mess!

Adrian! Glad you made it home safely!! I'm happy you weren't on a plane that developed a hole in it!! That's a better group pic than the one Nicole took, lol. I can't wait to see the museum pics. How much did they want for Teepos sister? Not that I could afford her, I'm sure.

Well have a great Friday all!

Adrian, glad you had fun and got to meet some on the forum. Ain't this a great hobby? Well, tons of snow has melted and if it keeps up, I wonder if there will be a trace of winter by the 21st. Took advantage of the nice weather and pulled the 455 out of the car and sent it off for a rebuild. Now I'll get in the engine bay and clean, clean, clean.

Attachment 183133

Attachment 183134

I have already cleaned the intake manifold

Attachment 183135

The car will ready to go by the end of May/beginning of June. I'm wondering if I should head down to Reno. It would be cheaper to fly...but not as fun.

Have a good day all.

BTW, that picture of the group looks great.

Good morning all

Adrian,

Glad you got home safe and sound. Did you get groped at the airport? Maybe I am asking for too much information, on second thought I don't want to know.

Sunny day for a change, one day only then back to rain so says the 5 day forecast.

Sandy, I don't envy you installing that trunk seal, they are a pain. Good luck. Give Blue a shout on best way to do it. I used "C" clamps and strips of wood to hold mine in place while installing, gotta be an easier way.

I replaced the 45 year old seal on Blue Belle. I did a dry run without the "glue", and it fit so good, I forgot about the glue!

Still perfect!

Citcapp.... If I get too frustrated, I'll have Don Sitts put it in, lol. I laid some of it in the channel last night just to see how it fits. It's tight - have to kinda smush it to get it in there. Tryin to do it myself and save money, lol!!

......and it fit so good, I forgot about the glue!

Don't ya need that glue/sealer stuff so water doesn't get in there and rust the channel? In case ya get stuck in the rain or something??

Jamesbo.... here's a pic of that little blue flower!

So where's Darrell been? Oldskl69?? Haven't heard from him in awhile??

That is a much better pic.

With that tree in the background I look like I have antlers.

That blue flower is known as a weedeaterus cuttususdownus in my yard.
Pretty soon all the pretty yellow flowers will be everywhere, my grounds and driveway will be blanketed with them.

I went to the doc the last time I was having problems with my campanula.
Went in the fridge and grabbed some yogurt and after I finished it I noticed the label says it's for prenatal women and promotes breast feeding health.
It must be for my daughter, better not be for Laura!.
Would of had to have been the Fuller Brush man because I'm not like that.
I've been eating the yogurt for a couple of weeks, I was raised Catholic so Ive never seen myself nude but somethings feel funny.
I better call the Doc again.

Sandy,
I don't like to go against our resident Chief cook and Gardner, but I believe Jamesbo may be wrong on that flower. I think what you have there goes by the Botanical name of chionodoxa or “glory of the snow”.

Bulldog,

Ya ain't hurt'in my feel'ins tat all.

I was once up in de Blue Ridge mountains talk'in to a Ranger and he told me had to identify 100 kinds of wildflowers. Zo, I prompty got me a wild flower book and started tak'in pitchers of every kind of wild flower I could find and try'in to learn 'em. Got home after a few day and suddenly realized. I'd been bush hogg'in acres "Butter Cups" fer years.

Once I did the sutpidest thing. A guy told me there were honey bees in my shed. I put on my bee hat and gloves, got my bee smoker out [it was gitt'in dark and I ah [never mind] Anywho, I got these things out of de shed, opened up an empty hive and put them in.

Next mawn'in with much mo lite and a clearer head. [ If ya know what I mean. I figgered out, I'd put sum stupid yellow jakcet in my bee hive. ,

My long awaited point is..............I've been know to err. Heck, I famous for it.

Oh God Blue, you just make me howl!!!! Weedeaterus Cuttususdownus??? I think Redgoat is out...... And thanks... I will never eat yogurt again without thinking about what you said, lol!!

Yep, I already have the pretty yellow flower greens coming up in the flower beds. Nothing kills those things. Nothing! Someday we'll find out that they hold the cure for cancer or something, and here we've been tryin to kill them for years, lol! Got a lot of thistle coming up again also..... don't know where it came from last year, and it's damned near impossible to get rid of!

I don't know what the blue flower is, but it's pretty and I like it, lol! I know Jean's spread out of her flower bed, so I dug some up and brought them home and planted them last year. They have a bulb.

Went out at lunch time and ate at the DQ. Temp showed 50 degrees, but it sure didn't feel like it. It's dank and chilly out there.

Jamesbo...... you are funny!!! What about those poke steaks?? Did ya speriment yet??

Do you have any bird feeders out? Thistle is a favourite of many types of finches. A lot of bird seed mixes and especial ones marked for finches will have thistle seed. They are annoying but the bird love them.

When I pulled out the terrible old rubber, the channel was blue paint. The rubber seal was all dried out and the trunk lid leaked really bad. I cleaned out the little bit of old glue and the seal channel was bright blue paint. The only glue that I used was where the two ends butted together.

I used Steele Rubber for the trunk seal, and it really fit tightly...

Weather here is 78 degrees with the sun shinning hot I wants my snow back lol. Mowed half the lawn yesterday and the other half today, it was very long

Back to work tomorrow for me Should be good to get back into my old routine Lets hope they have lots of OT for me so I can get Goldie back on the road fast Can't wait to cruse down the road again.

Have a great day everybody,

Adrian

P.S. here is a pic of teepo with her wing nut facing the right way lol

My Vista don't got no trunk seal.
That Teepo air cleaner nut looks a lot better now.

I have to get my lawnmower tractor ready for action today.
I'm still not going to put away the old snowblower tractor though.

I finally found a guy to look at the AC in the Vista, a mechanic that actually knows how to repair instead of replace things.
It will be cool if he can fix it.
It figures it's my mother-in-law's next door neighbor.

Will Sandy weatherstrip glue Teepoos trunk shut or not?
Should I take bets or start a poll?

Yep, I fixed dem las nite.

Jamesbo's Ohio poke steaks with pineapple & rabbit poop rice.

I gots one of those teflon coated thing -a-ma-jigs to cook veggie's on de grill.

Open a can of pineapple rings and save de juice
Grill your pineapple in de teflon thingy while the poke steaks are grill'in

When de steaks are done brush both sides with pineapple juice from de can and return for a few minutes to de grill.

Cook sum rice
Toast sum minced up pistacios and put it in de rice
Toss in sum raisins [kinda looks like rabbit poop don't it]
Toss in 1 chopped up grilled pineapple ring

Not bad if I do say so myself [We need a Yummy face Don't we]

Blue,

What's de over/under on Sandy glu'in her trunk lid shut. It could become an Oldsmobile paraphenalia time capsul.

Sandy we get that thistle in de pastures all de time. Ya can kill it with broad leaf weed killer. I think it's the national flower of Scotland cause when de Vikings came to conquer them they got caught up in the thistle thickets and died.

Evenin All!

Wow! No one was on here yesterday?? Musta been a busy day. It was nice yesterday. We had some late sun and it was around 60. More rain last night, though.

I put the new trunk seal in the channel just to see how it fit, and it was a good fit, but does need glued down along the bottom. I've decided Don Sitts can do that, lol! I'm not messin with that black nasty stuff. I tried to shut the trunk lid but it wouldn't shut, so Don can figure it all out. I did the hard part.

So.... I'm not gonna be gluing Teepos trunk shut! I dyed the carpet in her doors today. Didn't come out too bad! At least it looks green again instead of brown. God it was a gorgeous day today!! Got up to 78 degrees and sunny. Opened the windows - still got them open - it's very windy though. I sure wish the warmth would stick around awhile. Lots of buds on the trees and bushes, just need some sun and warmth for them to open. Gonna be in the low 70's tomorrow, but thunderstorms around then cooling off again.

I made some macaroni salad today and had burgers for supper. Jamesbo.... I don't know if that recipe sounds good or not..... gotta think about it.

Well better get ready for bed. Back to work tomorrow so I gotta get up early.

Just think, McDonalds may of been called McOlafs if the Vikings succeeded in Scotland.
Ronald McDonalds would have a hat with horns and be called Bjorn the funny yet introspective food clown and The Ride of the Valkyries would be their theme song.
They would have to change the words from "Kill-ill the wabbit, kill-il the wabbit, kill-ill the wabbit until he is dead" though?
Would have been perfect with Apocalypse Now for marketing, "I love the smell of of Mc'Olafs hulking huge breakfast in the morning".

Was it in thirteen-thirty-three that the thick thorny thistle thicket thwarted them?

I figured you were golfing today Jamesbo. Well, I'm taking Teepo over to Don's Thursday evening and dropping her off. I called earlier and talked to his son. He said they are busy over there. They better not keep her for a month like they did last spring!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot to tell ya. We got a new Percheron in our pasture. His name is Lance. He's gotta be 18 hands. When he eats an apple. He takes the whole thing in his mouth a rolls it around like a peanut. The utter day the lady next door couldn't get her pony caught up so Lance reached his head over the fence and grabbed the bridle of the pony and held him like he was teathered to a tree until the owner could relieved Lance from his duties. Morning All!!

Cloudy and cool again here. 41 degrees this morning. Had capri's and sandals on yesterday - today coat and shoes. Back to a possible wintry mix over the weekend. Is it ever just going to get warm this year???? It better stay nice on Thursday as they said, so Teepo has dry roads to go to Don's on.

I picked some daffodils and hyacinths and brought in here this morning. They smell soooo nice! I need to get out the Easter decorations and decorate at home. I only have one container of them, lol! It's not like schleping down the Christmas stuff.

Jamesbo..... take a picture of that horse please! I love those big old draft horses!! I like to go look at them at the fair. Their feet are sooo big, lol! And their heads! Horses just smell good. I like to smell them, lol! I love their soft chins and noses.
How did you come about getting this horse?? Is it yours or are you keeping it for someone?

It's a quiet day in here. We've slowed down again. I like it when it's busy. Adrian... are you getting back in the groove again??

I don't know where my sig pic is today? There's a little box there instead from Photobucket.

Well have a good day all!

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.

So you like leaning on horses Sandy?

Nowwww I know what that aroma was at lunch.
I thought it was your black leather French resistance jacket or that Amish waitress.
