Evening everyone. Cool day here today around 60. Walked the kids to school this morning and it was only 40. Geez, had to go back in the house to get my jacket. Supposed to warm up tomorrow.

Sandy - sorry to hear that Nicole's giving you some headaches. Hopefully she'll come around soon. Too expensive to move out on your own without a good job. Makes you wonder how she thinks she could afford rent, food, school etc.

Not much on the job front to report today. I appreciate the support you all give me, thanks. Hopefully something will break in that department soon.

A lot of stuff otherwise though to keep me busy. If its not big piles of mulch to do, its stuff with the cars. I am doing a timing chain and intake gasket on my 85 Riv 307 Olds motor. Ordered my parts from Rock Auto and they came today. The AC Delco water pump is made in China. If I had known that, I would have bought a rebuilt original. Oh well. Also, one of my friends was going to junk a 93 Formula Firebird in decent running and driving condition and I convinced him to sell it to me. I bought it from him for the money the boneyard was going to give him, $500. Supposed to pick it up Saturday. Not sure if I will keep it or just give a good cleaning and detailing and flip it to make some quick $$$.

I didn't put my Cutlass up for sale, but I was offered 12k for it yesterday. Not sure what I am going to do yet, I really like the car but the money is tempting being unemployed. We'll see.

Have a good night everyone.

Happy Hump'in Day All

Gonna be a scorcher today with temps flirting near 90* Good thing I got the yard work done yesterday

Happity Humpity, Oldsmofriends

Fine day here in the swamp; was 57* and spose to be well into 80s today. I saw where Omaha hit 103 yesterday! Whew.... you Midwesterners are in da' deep fryer; Chicago was warmer than we were. Hopefully you'll keep all that up there for now, as we're going to get our share of it -- and more -- this summer

Jamesbo, should've told her to go in on a "joint venture" w/ Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. They could harvest commune-style. (You reminded me how much I always liked "Diamonds and Rust," however.)

Scot, I didn't hear ya' express interest the first go-round. That would be fabumous. Correct me if I'm wrong, James & Mike, but to my knowledge, we're meeting in Hotlanta some time in October.... Last I heard, it was going to be "bring the spouse/SO optional," as Mike hasn't expressed his preference, Supermodel can't even plan on a time for the evening meal, and my better half prolly wouldn't miss it for da' world.

I'm hoping Jamesbo (et al, who have experience in the great state of GA) is working on an itinerary .

Darrell, hang in there, man.... I still know something good's heading your way. And I'd say if you really like that beautiful '71, hang on to it. If you sell it, you'll certainly live to regret it.

Well, the cretin is still at large in N.O. Come to find out, the mollusk (hate to give octopi a bad name) was just released from prison on 4/29 after his bail was reduced to some ridiculous amount, like $5,000. I hope whoever lowered it is exposed, and some repercussions ensue for him or her.

Y'all be good as we crest the hill toward end of week.

Morning All!

Sun and clouds here now, temps already in the mid 60's. Heading towards 81 today!! I sure hope the rain comes this morning and gets over with - if we have any - so Bellacino's will be dry tonight. It's still ify......

Steve has his heater on, I just turned on my fan. 76 in here. It's nice and quiet without Brian here!! I can even make noise with out being counseled for it, lol.

I worked outside last evening until after 9. It warmed up the further the day went yesterday, so it was a pleasant evening to be outside. I need to get my green bean plants in the ground - they're getting tall now in those seed starter pods. I shoulda cleaned Teepo....

Darrell.... I sure hope you don't have to sell the car. I agree with John - you'd regret it down the road. But I understand ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Hopefully you'll find a job soon.

Scot... I'm jealous, lol! I want to meet you guys. I'm glad you all had a nice visit! One day I'll get down that way.

Nicole dropped a 5 lb. weight on top of her foot yesterday when she was working out. It was swelled up pretty good last night. She's working today. I told her when she gets home to prop it and put ice on it. We didn't talk about her life after graduation any last night. Hopefully I can change her mind....

Well you all have a good hump day!

Good morning everyone.

Scot it was good to meet you. I didn't mean to talk your ear off all night. Got home a little after 1 with no trouble a'tall.

John I don't know what SO Optional means. My preference would be to bring my spouse, but alas I don't have one. Jamesbo is the one with the intimate knowledge of the city; my knowledge consists mainly of the 22 miles between Stockbridge and the airport.

Darrell do what ya gotta. Hold out as long as you can. But take care of yourself there are other cars. Did I just say that?

Well another day of raking and mowing. I wasn't careful yesterday and got that dad-blamed blister at the base of my thumb. By the way I hate raking. But now, there's some scattered smothered calling my name.

Have a good day all. I'm reminded of the semi's I used to see on the interstates when I was a kid. The trailers had a kangaroo on them and it said, Humpin' To Please. They must have only ran on Wednesdays.

Scot.... I'll have to see what dates you all pick to meet. And see if I can save some vacation time up. October is far away yet, so who knows..... Is it peach time, lol?

The one I posted is correct John. Pat (citcapp) is correct that picture that you are referring to is back@$$wards Always remember the #1 terminal should point towards the #1 cylinder and the rotor will point to the #1 cyl when the piston is top dead center on the compression stroke.

Welcome aboard John D! Funny, 'cause I'm John D in real life. Thanks, Jamesbo. But my "B" will be "easy" (pun intended?) to remember, as it will also stand for Bee-Oh-Pee.

The more the merrier for the fall.... Sandy, make an effort to come ... 'Twould be great.

I really want to see da' Fox. But I might have to pass on da' foxes at da' "Sho Shoe Show Sto" or whatever 'dat is.

Mike, SO = significant other. But we'll all have a good time regardless of who's in tow....

Howdy John D! John B I don't know why that struck me so funny, I'm John D in real life.

The thermometer on the back porch says it's 90 here. Doesn't feel like it. Nice and sunny. Slight breeze. My neighbor across the street came out and said it's too hot. I think he's been to the medicinal cemetery.

It's break time.

Good evening everyone.

Finally got the rain that has been predicted on and off for a while, but came and went while I was at work, so I missed it.

Jamesbo, do not read the next paragraph, it may contain a technical question

Scot, does that just apply to a 350 with HEI? I thought the diagram in a repair manual for my Delta shows on a 307 that #1 is towards the driver.

Welcome aboard John D.

Sandy, hope things work out with Nicole.

well I am happy to report that my Suburban is once again running..
it cost me a lot more than I had planned on when I started.. but it will be much better in the long run.
I still need to finish timing but it is close enough to where I can use it.

I took it for a nice 50 mile drive yesterday and I am so far pleased with the results of the replacement engine.

What started off as a simple head rebuild turned into an engine replacement.
I also had to end up replacing some other parts that I wasn't planning on.. but it now runs..
I am broke .. but it runs..

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning All!

It's another sunny nice day here today. Going up to around 76 degrees later, it's 69 right now.

It was a beautiful night for cruisin at Chick Fil A last night! We had 5 Oldsmobiles show up! I was surprised, lol. One, I had never seen before. Looked like a modified wagon. I'll post pics in a while. Gonna be another nice night for Bellacino's tonight. The weekend forecast is looking better too, so I might be able to make the shows on both days I want to go to. Wait and see, I guess. Poor Teepo is soooo dirty! She just feels 'bumpy' when I run my hand down her fender, lol. I gotta get her cleaned and no time to do it unless I stay home tonight. And I don't think that's gonna happen, lol.

I love it when Brian is gone!!! My day goes fast cause I have things to do to keep me busy, instead of just sitting here as usual. Steve has his heater on - I have the AC on. I turned it on yesterday. We got up to 86 beautiful degrees yesterday, and it got really hot in here. The air only runs for 6 minutes (I'm timing it) and it kicks on about every 17 minutes or so. Not enough to freeze anybody.

Been trying to get this posted all morning and keep getting interrupted!

Have a good day all!

Evening everyone.

Nice day here, sunny and warm. Slept till noon when this woman called me. When she found out I was sleeping and she woke me up, she said oh really, and kept rambling. Nice. I dozed on and off while she yammered anyway I have no idea what she was saying. She never noticed.

Glad you got the Burb going Jeff. I got one that started acting up all of a sudden. One of these days I'll have the time to check it out.

Sandy, does your work have a garden hose attached to it? You could take Teepo to work on the days you have a car show and wash her at lunch.

Jamesbo are you feeling left out? We'll write you a letter. Dear John.....

Okay off to work. One more for the rest of you, hope everyone is doing well.

Happy Friday Morning all.

Jeff Sorry I missed your call, yesterday I didn't whether to go see a man about a horse or wind my watch. Glad shes back on the road.

Mike I don't miss not having a home phone, and I hardly get a call on my mobile phone, So when it does ring It startles me. The next door neighbor called me last night just as we were ready to hit the sack (bout 8:45) and said he smelled propane in his driveway. So we got the flashlight out and tromped around the yard. I caught a faint odor, but it smelled more like something was dead. I'm gonna guess he shot a squirrel and in crawled onto a crook of a limb and died.

Jamesbo, Nyjer(R) seed is basically a thistle seed, but dang is it expensive. We sell it at the store, but sunflower chips are really expensive too.

The New John D, welcome. Looks like a nice ride you have. hope it brings you a lot of smiles.

Morning Sandy. Hope your Brianfree day is just what you ordered.
Well spose to get to about 86 today. So I guess that means no snow

The Missus and kid are gonna take a 15 hour roadtrip on Saturday to go look a few mules. I'll get the quads ready for Sundays race. I don't know why that kid needs another one? Especailly a 3 year old thats not halter broke...

Have a great weekend all.

Well I met with the track owner yesterday and we secured the 8th Annual Run What Ya Brung 2013 for Sept 14th. Be sure to put it on your calendar.

Morning All!

Another gorgeous day here! Sun and supposed to get into the 70's. Still talking storm chances tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it misses us the whole weekend, lol.

Scot..... are you talking about the peaches?? I'll send money to have them Fed Ex overnight, lol. Those are the best darned peaches I've ever had! And soooo big!

Well I had a great night at Bellacino's last night! Perfect weather..... I finally hit the 50/50 - got $123.00. I also won 2 more free oil changes at Don Sitts as door prizes. So now I have 3, lol. Bob (the DJ) just kept pulling my tickets!! I was happy.

Got home about 8:15 and pulled Teepo into the house garage so I could do some cleaning on her. So I bonded with her until 10:30 and went in the house. My back hurts today from all the bending over her I did, lol. I still need to vaccum her out and the trunk too, and wipe down the interior. My rags just turn yellow from all the pollen they're picking up. Gotta shine the tires too.

Jamesbo..... The Goldfinches just loooove Nyjer! I buy it when I have the money. It is very expensive for some reason. I usually buy a bag of mixed Goldfinch seed. I have no thistles anywhere around my thistle feeder, but go to the front of the house and my one flowerbed is just full of the dammmed thistles! They're impossible to get rid of. Their tap root goes to China, I swear. And they break off so easy if you try to pull them. I pull them and then spray Roundup or some kinda weed killer on the root, but they still come back. They disguise themselves by growing right in the flowers! I have to get out to that front bed and start getting rid of the ones I noticed the other night. I'm hoping to get my green beans in the ground this weekend. I bought some baby spinach leaves seeds and lettuce seeds to plant for Nicole, but if she's not gonna be here, I may not plant them. I never grew lettuce before, so I don't know what's involved.

Clint.... It's been a wonderful 3 days without Brian, lol, and he's off Monday too! I turned on my fan a few minutes ago just to get air circulation in here, and right away Steve turned on his heater! I think he hears the fan and thinks it's cold. All the fan is doing is circulating 77 degree hot air, lol. It ain't cooling it off any...... When it hits 78 on my thermometer in here, the AC will kick on. One more degree...

Well you all have a great Friday.

I was gonna say a red winged blackbird? But I don't think the underneath of their wings is all red. I have a ton of them in my yard - they're pigs, lol.

Happy Friday everyone.

Excellent day for sleeping. The phone was off so no one called. The dogs were tired, I guess, and didn't bother me more than a couple times. And I got home a little early this morning so I got some extra time. Wouldn't mind if that all happened again.

And as exciting as that all sounds, I got nothing else. Jamesbo I hadn't thought of that dude in years.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend. My weekend starts on Monday.
