Happy Monday everyone.

Well my dumbassedness came about again as yesterday instead of doing a simple job like fixing my bed, I slept most of the day and did other things and had to sleep on the couch again. Eh, it's like camping. I'm fixing it today for sure.

Darrell glad things are going well with the job process. Your'e a shoe-in.

Okay here is a car that looks interesting, but I can't figure it. It's an ugly yellow that I'm pretty sure was never offered in 70, it has show quality paint and new metal, fairly well optioned 442 fake, yet for an amazingly low price and little more description. Anyone happen to know this car?

Gonna scoot off to the Awful house and then get back so I can meet with a roofing guy. Looks like it's gonna be a nice day here in the Greater Stockbridge Area. Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,

Darrell, We're rootin for ya.

Allan, Sorry to hear about Jeanne. My condolences to you and Ted.

Mike, That is a sharp looking car. Even with the odd color. The price is a little scary. I don't like it when there are no license plates or other cars with plates in the pics to see if its really in the area they say it is. Everything in those pics are so 'sterile'. Could have been taken anywhere.(except for Colorado, because everything is too green. )

Well I took Britney to Ace hardware on Saturday, then put her back under cover again. The missus is building a 'help yourself' grain bin and cutting a lot of particle board everything have a fine coat of sawdust on it. Besides they are calling for 4-8" on Weds. but today is supposed to be 80F+.

Hope Jeff didn't get swallered by the burban monster.

Have a great day all.

no clint I didn't..
I have it torn down nicely and the Heads are sitting in the back of my trunk to be dropped off at the machine shop on the way home.
I can't see any problems at all with the heads.. they both look the same.
I have some pics of both sides of the #5 (PM Me a # and I can text them to you clint if you want to see the pics)

It took the better part of 4 hrs to get the one head off on Saturday and about 30 minutes yesterday to get the remaining head off.
of course I still had the intake and several other items in the way when I started on Saturday. This Saturday I hope to start the re assembly..
this week I will be cleaning the block and prepping it to recieve the rebuilt heads. as well as locating a missing rocker arm nut that my son dropped that is not on the ground..

Morning All!

Rainy here, temps in the 50's right now. Might see some sun this afternoon.... Gonna be in the 70's the rest of the week.

Brian is back. Clay turned on the heat when we came in -I was here first this morning - to get it warmed up in here, then he turned it off about 20 min. ago. I'm waiting for Brian to realize he's cold and go crank it.... It's a pleasant 72 here in our office. Fine with me........

Darrell... Hope you get the job! It sounds promising!!

Where's Jamesbo this morning? Already out smacking whitey around?

Mike.... you get that bed patched today, lol!! I slept on our couch for almost a month last summer with the kidney crap going on. I didn't like it much.

Clint... I hope you mean inches of rain....

Well you all have a good day and stay dry!!

Good Monday Mawnin All

It's a bit rainy today and Elsie needs to go piddle over the Atlantic ocean for a change

Mike that could've been a extra cost Special Order paint job of Sebring Yellow and the first three digits of the VIN will tell you if it is a fake. A '68 - '71 442 will have 344 as the first three digits if it is in fact a 442.

Clint that's funny I never think about the plates not being on. In fact, it sort of annoys me when someone takes pictures and then tries to obscure the plate number, I think why don't they just take it off? Scot that looks a lot darker than Sebring to me. He even says in the title it's a Cutlass 442, so I'm assuming it's a fake. I think I'll give him a call, just to see what he says.

Jamesbo stay in the mountains. There's nothing to see down here.

Roof guy should be here any minute. After that the day is mine. Gotta find me some sealant.

Good afternoon, all.

Finally got most of the rain out of here, at least for now. Was about 60 this morning at the Plantation.

Nice looking car, Mike.

I posted a few new pic's of my trunk in my album, and on an old thread I had started a couple years ago when I first got the car. Finally got the thing done earlier in the year.

If you recall, when I bought the car, the jack & spare were missing. Finally got the thing in shape. I'm 95% sure the car came without the cardboards everybody else's had, just based on the evidence. I guess I'll never know. But I bought 'em and didn't install 'em.

This is what it looks like now:

Thanks, Jamesbo.
Funny... My Dad had this same stuff in his trunk for 30-40 years.... he's transfer these boxes from old car to new when he upgraded... 3 or 4 times in my life. One item was a carton of two fusees... remember those things? I actually kept them until Katrina.... and even after flooding, they might have fired right up! And he had a bunch of tools and gadgets he thought he might someday need.

You know, the other thing I might invest some $$ and effort into would be the restoration (if humanly possible) of the original boot.... it's a little shaky after almost 50 years, but I think with some TLC, it could be "refreshed." Some of the fabric on the underside is somewhat disintegrated.

That's funny John,

My dad did the same thing. A leather Navy flight bag with a Navy leather flight jacket, a pair of rubber boots, a wool Navy blanket and a few misc tools. Must of gottne trnasfer 10 times or more form one trunk to another.

John that doesn't look like a very big space for the size of the car. It looks nice, though.

I just read that the Willow Run assembly plant in Michigan is probably going to get demolished if the trustees of the place can't find a buyer by August. Lots of history there, B24s, Kaisers, Corvairs, GM big cars including 88/98/CCs. Too bad. I hope they save the rotunda.

I just got back from running errands. Lots of people that suck were out today. I don't suck, why must I constantly be barraged with people who do? Eh, I'm home now they can't get me.

Thanks everyone! The interview went well today, but I will not know if I made it to the next round until tomorrow. If I did, then I have to make it through one more before I actually get the offer. It's crazy when you think about how much they put you through these days just to get a job. No pressure.

As Lloyd Bridges said in Airplane, " Looks like I picked the wrong day to quit drinking."

Hope everyone had a great day.

I'll let everyone know once I hear back.

Morning everyone.

Darrell, Hope you don't have to give up sniffing glue...

Jamesbo, you must be getting the weather we had yesterday. The house is still sitting at 72F. and the furnace didn't come on once last night.

Nice boot John. Speakin of dads. Mine has his moving day today. His landlord has finally given up on my dad buying the place and kicked him out. He's gonna put it on the market and didn't think it would sell very fast with all my dads junk packed into it. It's really hard to side with my father on this one. He thinks the landlord is giving him a raw deal, when I believe my dad has led him on for 4 years. Dad could never afford that place anyhow.http://www.trulia.com/homes/Colorado...-80470#photo-1
What do you do when you think your parent is losing it? Oh well.

Mike, I would assume that the fact its a vert is why the trunk is smaller than expected. It would make sense that the collapsed top would take up a bit of that space..
As far as the pics of the cutlass, I have noticed that most of the scams on CL, the cars don't show any specifics so they can post them to many different areas of the country on CL and it doesn't throw up a red flag.

Well, I better get over to the shop. Need to get stuff ready for the 4-8" of snow they re forecasting starting tonight.

Have a great Tuesday.

Morning All!

Sun and 56 degrees here right now. Just a pretty morning. Heading to the 70's where we're supposed to be all week. It's looking good for Thursday and opening cruise night at Bellacino's! Ready for pics of the same old cars all summer, lol?

Steve is back today, his heater is blasting. But the main heat is still off.... surprisingly. It got up to 76 and stuffy as heck in here yesterday. I was fanning myself and Brian asked me if I was hot. I said we need air circulation. It's just stagnent and heavy with no movement. He said he was kind of cool yesterday morning, but he figured I liked it. I said yep I did. I keep ceiling fans going at home, so I always have air circulation. With Steve's heater going, it will heat up in here quick, so my fan will be coming on.

Jamesbo..... my trunk only has stuff in it at car shows, lol, when I set up my display. Don't know what I want in there this season. I heard Teepo is in another issue of Cruisin Times from over the summer, so maybe I'll put those magazines in there. I don't know if it's the May issue she's in or if it was April. I tried to look online, but couldn't find any pics. Pam is supposed to bring her magazine with her to Bellacino's so I can see. If it's the May issue, it comes out tomorrow and Larry will stop and get me a copy. She's sooooo pretty, lol!

Kelly is supposed to bring Nicole's computer over tonight after I get home from work. She has it all programmed and ready to go. Nicole should be home tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to go get my skunk line colored after work tomorrow, lol, so I won't get home until 8ish....

Clint.... hope you don't get slammed with snow!

Darrell.... I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Have a great day all!!

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Overcast here but it's gonna have to hurry if it's making it to 80. It's been 80 here in the Greater Stockbridge Area already.

Clint your Dad isn't losing it. He knows he can't afford that beautiful place but he doesn't want to leave. He's been dragging his feet as long as he could.

You guys remember that green Cutlass S from a couple years ago that was on every form of craigslist? At least this weird yellow convertible isn't on craigs, yet.

Sandy there's nothing wrong with seeing the same cars all the time. Around here if we didn't see the same cars we wouldn't see any.

Jamesbo I'm not sure what I said that you're not getting. Happy looking Red dog.

Fingers crossed Darrell.

Okay gotta get moving. Already been to Awful house and Walmart. Have a good one all.

Good morning, Oldsmopeeps

Balmy in the swamp this morning; just waitin' for the cow to let loose any minute. Predicted to stay wet thru Friday, which unfortunately for those attending Jazz Fest this week, means two more wet days, on top of last Sunday. But they're sayin' that Sat & the final day of Sunday should be cool and crisp... I'm sure there will be record crowds.

Thanks, 1969 (do you have a preferred handle... or even a name? ?). Can't say it isn't tidy.

Yeah, Mike, once you put that spare tire in there, there's not a helluva lot of room for much else. The coupes put the tire under the package shelf; but there would be no room for the top to go down on the 'vert's.

Yeah, Darrell... it's a grueling process these days, unless you have an immediate "in." Sure glad I've crested the employment hill. It's downhill all the way, now... Break a leg. Anybody who quotes Lloyd Bridges in Airplane should DEFINITELY get the job, IMHO...

Jamesbo, I'm going to look in the old house's attic... I think I stowed my Dad's old suitcase he had in the '66 Polara, with the valve stems, can openers, screwdrivers, and assorted open-end wrenches. I'll take another pic with the suitcase (contents displayed?) in the "new" trunk.... Nice new avatar... puppy looks fer-mill-yer.

Clint, good luck with Dad. It doesn't sound as if there's much you could do or say; God bless all the parents.... and especially the families of the older ones! Enjoy 'em while you got 'em.
Sorry to hear of all the late snow.... you'd think it would have snowed itself out by now....

Talk to youz guyz on hump day, hopefully.

Lol. Hopefully not Clint. May have to stop for a while if I get the job. Don't know if that shows up on a urine test or not. Hope you didn't get all that snow too. It's almost May, time to put the snow blower and shovel away.

John - I agree. I still love that movie and only people with good taste and a sense of humor watch it!

Sandy/Jamesbro/Mike - thanks!

Here's my update... good news! I heard back from them today and I have the 4th interview on Thursday. This one is via Skype so that should be interesting. At least I get to do it at home and not some far away location.

Will let you all know how it goes. Have a great night everyone.

Good evening everyone.

Spring is finally here. Temps in the low 70's for the rest of the week. It's nice to drive the Delta again.

Last night, we went into week 2 of the playoffs for bowling in 5th (of 10 teams). We played good all night, but the first game the whole team was on fire. We managed to finish the playoffs in 1st place by TWO pins Only night of the season where all the team that were finished waited around for the last teams to finish.

Good to hear you made it another step Darrell.

The trunk looks good John.

Mike, I actually like that shade of yellow on the 442.

Teepo is in another magazine? Really?

Clint good luck with the snow.

Morning all.

Jamesbo. That's one cute critter. Red? I sure miss our golden, Maybe not the slobber, but he sure was a good old guy.

Paul. Congrats on the bowling. We ended up the league 9th out of 14.We passed out the money last Weds. This will be the first Weds. night in forever that I can come home and do nothing. Well I'll probably have to shovel snow.

We had 80F on Monday, and overall the temps are starting to warm up. so. I may be able to de-winterize the toyhauler. We signed up for a hill Climb race on the 11-12th. We're gonna need it prity quick since its a weekend race. I'll be racing the ATV and the Missus will be co driver for my mechanic. He drives the #92 Ferd p.u. at 0:30 mark.

Dad got all moved out before the storm. He got his motorhome all settled in over at the MIL's. Not sure how this will all work out. but only time will tell.

Well, no snow yet. But we are getting a pretty good rain. The front porch reeks of chicken poo. I put a bunch of fertilizer out hoping the snow would cover it and wash it down deep. My lawn is not well after last years dry spell. and we are already on watering restrictions.

The missus has changed her routine, now we get up at 3:00 instead of 4:00. Looks like shes getting ready to do the trucking this year, instead of MIL hauling in. I guess MIL and their hired hand will do the deliveries. Oh, well, Not like I have slept well in the past few years anyhow.

We got the kids little Celica running yesterday. Hope this motor works out better than the last.

Have a great day all.

Thanks, Designer. I think it turned out nice; I must admit it's pretty well preserved after all these years. Obviously nobody ever used it for hauling bricks....

Clint, that looks like a blast! I'll bet it's addictive.... Get us a video of better half piloting #92.... Looks like the War Wagon . Sorry for the hour shaved from your already-lean sleep schedule. Good luck with Dad; just b/w me and you, that doesn't sound like a good long-term solution for him.

Jamesbo, Monday afternoon on my way home, some guy lost a recliner on I-55.... he had it on a trailer and mustn't have had it secured, as it fell right off while he was doing about 60.... it fell more towards the shoulder, thank goodness, and I wasn't really near it; but he immediately realized it and hit the brakes, backed up, and scooped it up. I always think of me on the Yamaha when something like that occurs. Gives me an eerie tingle up my back. (Truck tires exploding and becoming airborne is another thing that haunts me.) We were all lucky that time, and it felt good to be in the Camry.

Well, nuttin' else really new; the seven hours of beddy-bye last nite seemed to go by in a flash; doesn't seem like I slept long enough, but since I didn't lie awake at all, I must've slept pretty well; I'm sure after my second tumbler of iced coffee, I might show a little sign of life....

Y'all have a great humpity, Oldsmofriends.

Morning All!

Another beautiful day in the making here. Sun and 58 degrees now, heading towards 78 today. Still lookin good for Bellacino's tomorrow night, but not so good for the Riverfront on Monday....

Stuffy in here with no air circulation.. I opened all the windows wide again at home this morning before I left... love that fresh air!!

I know it's spring.... the Red Breasted Grosbeak is back! He was out on the sunflower seed feeder this morning. He only shows up for a little while in the spring. Don't see him again all season. He is sooooo beautiful! Him and the Cardinal were both on the feeder, but by the time I went in and got my camera, the friggin blackbirds had chased both of them off of it. I'll get some pics eventually....

Gas sure shot up around here again yesterday. It's back in the 3.70's most places. Was in the 3.30's. They know it's time to get Teepo out with that big ole gas tank, lol. She still has over a 1/2 tank, so I'm good for a few cruise in's, lol.

Jamesbo.... I like your new avatar! He sure is a pretty dog. I'm ready to plant my maters.... ain't gonna get any fruit until Sept. the rate we're going here. I would think we're done with frost.... but who knows?

Paul! Nice to hear from you again! Wonder where Adrian has been?? Yeah, my friend Pam (with the Buick) texted me last week and said Teepo was in Cruisin Times again - she was already in the October issue. So I don't know if she was in the April issue or if she's in the May issue (subscribers always get the magazine early, before the first of the month). Larry is gonna stop by the Hudson auto parts and pick up a May copy today. I really need to subscribe....

John..... I get to go have the same wonderful test your wife just had on the 23rd. They have changed the prep since the last one I had. Now instead of drinking that gallon of nasty stuff, I have to buy 2 bottles of magnesium citrate to drink and start this prep 2 days before the procedure. The instructions I got in the mail say that 2 days before, eat normally, but at 8 pm, take 3 Dulcolux pills. (So much for me working a half day the next day like I planned, lol.) Then the day before, clear diet and start drinking the citrate stuff with water in between until both bottles have been drank. I've tasted that citrate stuff before.... it's just as salty as that regular prep stuff only with a little lemon lime kind of taste. It's all nasty, I don't care what they say, lol! Thanks mom, for having colon cancer at one time...... Oh well, it will be over for another 5 years. I'm not looking forward to it. I only wanted to use one sick day....

Steve just turned on his heater! I'm not believing this.... I swear all his body heat must go out the top of his bald head, lol. It's not even close to being chilly in here. My fan is going on soon, and Brian is in a whiney mood, so it'll really pis* him off!

So on that happy note, I'll say have a great hump day all!!!!

Hope you get an "A" on your test.

Good luck with it, Sandy.... drinking the stuff is truly the worst part of the whole thing, IMHO.

Sorry you'll have to miss two days; but I'm sure your co-workers wouldn't have it any other way....

The stuff I had to take 2 years ago is WAY worse than the stuff my wife had to take last month... she just had a couple small bottles; but it was all by prescription. So everything you'll take is over the counter . It all sounds like the kinda' stuff my 'elders' used to take.

p.s.:
Mike: Check out this Cutlass on flea-bay. Not wild about the gold hood, but the price sure is right for now. Seems like good seller... but in N.Y.

God what a glorious day out here today!! I bonded with my lounge chair at lunch time. Sure didn't want to come back in here..... Brian had turned off my fan when I came in. I turned it back on.. I'm glad I'm out of here at noon tomorrow.

Gonna go get my hair colored tonight after work. Nicole should be at the NY airport to come home by now. Her plane comes in at 4:40 I think. Hopefully the Intrigue is ok after sitting there for a week.

Larry bought the May Cruisin Times and said Teepo is not in there, so it must have been last months edition, I dunno.

John.... yeah, when they called with the appointment, she said all items are now available over the counter. I think it's what your doctor feels would work best, but I don't know. I'm sure I will be gagging drinking this other bottled stuff too.... there is just no easy way around it.

Hey everyone.

It's cooler than I would have suspected today. Overcast but nice. After I fixed the dogs' breakfast this morning they didn't wake me up again until 2. I should be okay at work tonight.

I'm going to run out of dog food before I'm done working for the week, so I need to run out to Walmart and get some. So that will be my big excitement before work.

Mayday. Isn't today what the song about running around the mulberry bush is about? Today is a good friend of mine's birthday today. I gotta remember to give her a call.

Okay gonna get myself together. Check you all out later.

Evening everybody.

Jamesbo are you headed to the beach? Did you know when the Blazer first came out it didn't even have a top? They came later, and as an option.

Stopped at the Awful house for my supper tonight since I had to go out. Saw a couple friends I hadn't talked to in awhile so that was nice. The server was this new guy who had to pontificate about everything everyone was talking about. Eh, he won't last long.

Walmart didn't have my dog food, for the second time, so I went up to Petsmart and got just enough to keep us until I'm done with work. That place is so expensive. But I have my Petsmart card and when it's actually on sale it's cheep. So I get a lot. It needs to go on sale again.

Clint I think I can remember growing up snow in May. Not a common occurrence, though. Won't be long now before the snow stops coming. Uh huh.

Wonder how Allan's friend Ted is doing.

Summit Monday cruise ins start next week. Maybe this year I'll have something to take and show off. Of course they say any car is welcome on the field(parking lot) but I doubt I get many cruise awards with the Fiat.

Just got my roof scheduled to be done. It's gonna be May 28. That should give me enough time to get stuff moved around so they have room to work.

Okay time to hit the road. I have a feeling it's going to be a long week. Well, I'll take what I can get. Hope everyone has a good evening.

Hi everyone. Hope you had a great day today. Got the Olds out tnd gave it some exercise. Always sounds awesome pulling away from stop lights through those flowmasters.

Jamesbro - nice picture, had to look twice to make sure it was you.

Clint - can't believe it's May and you're still getting snow. Hope it warms up there soon.

Well, here's an update I'm not happy about. I found out today that the FDA decided not to approve the drug I would have been selling so the job is off the table right now. Many questionnaire's filled out, 3 interviews later and still coming up empty. Don't know why they did not approve it, those details did not make it out yet. Really frustrating. Oh well, back to the job boards and websites again.

So today was a crappy day for me, hopefully tomorrow will have better news.

Morning all. Clear skies this morning. Should get into the 40's and start to melt some of this. Saturdays Super cruise could be interesting. Its not terribly uncommon for snow in may. We just usually don't have 4+ sizable storms in late April into May. At the end of March we were at 70% of average snow pack, and in one month we should easily be at average.

Well, gotta get to it.

Have a day.

Darrell, Sorry about the news.

Ok, all you smart folks, WTF makes de ice maker in de freezer spit out ice dats either not frozen enough or too thaw out? De ice ben looks like frozen ice cube soup. Everything else in de freezer is nice and hard frozen.
