Chris glad you had a safe and enjoyable trip. You know you're good when the opposing team makes plays solely because of you. Gabe should be MVP of the decade.
Those are beautiful pictures Dan.
Norm the tick tock link only went to the homepage. I assume you were sending a video of a woodpecker mass execution. When I throw things at the birds they leave the house and fly to a tree about 10 feet away, then as soon as I go back in they fly back. Yes the trees are going to come down. The woodpeckers are a nuisance but on the other hand the ticks in the area don't have disease. It's a trade off.
So there are no wheels in the shop. We started the new shift of 6 to 230 today. I'll have a little more time to my self now in the afternoon. I don't see the point in changing anything when the management can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
Well I guess I'll go take a walk. Hope everyone has a good day.
Norm that's brilliant! I bet I could come up with something on that order. The trick would be to convince Tiger to use it. But this gives me something to think about!
Good morning everyone.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it! It was a really fun trip, and I felt really blessed to have the time and resources to be able to be there in person to see it! 😃
Ive been trying to get caught up with some chores, and spend some quality time with Dawn and the pups. All's well!
While my phone camera takes great close-ups of cars at Shows in good lighting, it does a horrible job of taking pictures of action shots at a distance. There was an amateur photographer taking pics with a large lense camera at one of Gabe's games, and when he saw me wearing Gabe's jersey he came up to me and said, "I've gotten some good pics of your boy shooting, and I'd be glad to text them to you if you're comfortable giving me your Cell number?" I said sure, and he sent me 2 nice pics today, and he said he would send more as he continues to go through his pics. The first 2 pics are his and you can clearly see the puck in the net!
Gabe shot over the Goalie's right shoulder, and the puck is buried in the upper left corner of the net.
You can see the puck flying over the top of the Goalie's stick handle into the right side of the net.
This next set of pics are screenshots/stills cut from a video I was shooting on my camera as Gabe manuvered from the right to left between the defenseman and the Goalie, eventually backhanding the puck into the net after passing the Goalie. Not very clear, but you'll get the idea.
Ah, work. Been pretty busy today, but at 9am I'm outa here. Using up vacation and then two weeks off for Australia. I didn't even bring my lunchbox so I can walk out and no one will know anything.
Chris those are awesome action shots. Just wait until the Jumbotron starts showing GO NIXON messages. That will be the ultimate.
Norm Tiger only weights 105 so I could get a light duty something and probably build something for under 500 bucks. Heck I could just get some rope and pulleys and move him by hand.
Got lots of errands to run and things to get together before Monday. I'm actually looking forward to the trip this time. Usually I'm not, even though once I'm there I have a good time. It's a tough trip anymore, lots of walking in the airports, and long flights in bad seats. This time I should get Delta One, the ultra first class. I'm flying on a company positive space pass.
Okay got a few things to clean up before I leave. Hope everyone has a good day.

Mike - Glad you have some extra time to burn to get ready for your big trip. Australia is someplace I'd love to see, but I'm sure I'll never get there. It's really nice you have friends to hang with when you get there! I can't imagine how long it takes to get there though, I thought Hawaii was long??? 🤪 I hope you have a safe and wonderful vacation!
Thanks for the kind comments about Gabe they are very much appreciated!
Much more accurate passing and better teamwork translated into alot of Offensive Zone time for Canada. The USA was outplayed in the 1st. They're gonna have to step it up!
Yes, I think I saw the same one. I thought there were a couple of other penalties by Canada that were not called, including one I thought was an obvious tripping!
Not surprising considering how much time that was played in the USA defensive zone. I thought the USA goalie played very well, especially since she has not been tested much in their earlier games.
I can't believe CA got the SH goal! Some golden chances squandered by the US! Playing harder, but they got to get the puck in the net when they get their chances!
I think USA has much more in the tank than I’m seeing them deliver. I see them anticipating CA rather than going AFTER CA. Just me though.
Agree, they just have to cut it loose and play! I saw signs of that type of play the last 4-minutes of the last Period when they had Canada on their heels! Starting off on the PP I'd love to see a tie early???
Thanks for the photo comments guys. Chris, nice that you got pics of Gabe putting some moves on the ice. Cool that the women's hockey team got the gold, i did not know that until i got on here. I have mentioned in the past about getting together for breakfast with my friends, including my former neighbor, age 89, whom I have known since I was nine years old. Unfortunately, he had a massive stroke, with severe brain bleeding. I stopped up to the hospital to see him knowing that he was not conscious. His two sons were there with their adult daughters. I was able to talk to them for a bit, and it does not look like he will make it. He had been in the hospital since last Friday for a pacemaker implant. He had the stroke Monday around 7pm. Even being at the hospital wasn't good enough. A great guy, we were looking forward to spring so we could get together once again.

Dan - So sorry to hear about your friends passing, my sincere condolences. Thank you for the kind comment about the pics of Gabe.
Norm, Tanks for the favor, Ya saved me hours on the road. My chainsaw in the mountains [ lake] went TU After the ice storm we had some major clean up . My helper called me with the bad news late in the day when I was out running around an d he needs a new saw buy Saturday. Friday is dialysis day and I can't get $hit done/ I wanted to get the exact same saw I have at the cemetery but forgot the model. BUT I remembered Norm and I had the same saw. So He went out to his man cave and gave me the model so I didn't have to drive home and check May seem like a minor thing but when I have Mon, Wed, Fri in the chair for 4 hours, It saved my day/ Tanks again Norm.
Norm, that's hilarious. Reminds me of the bring out your dead sketch.
Jim, sympathies on the saw. My old woodboss is not up atm, and I am trying to get arsed to fix it.
Last week I went to the Kentucky plant and taught a class. Stopped by my tractor people on the way home and got an estimate on some tractor attachments. I mentioned I wanted mainly the tough cut attachment, which is actually a bushhawg style breakaway blade unit with trap door for small trees. I have a nice mower and a tough mower now, but I want a brush and small tree eater. Also wanted a tiller. Mentioned snowblower and they are like you want a blade for our snow here, so we looked at blades. Gave me a number, but the owner will tweak a little when he gets back from holiday then I'll order.
Lost an aunt by marriage. May go funeraling Sat.
Getting grief at work over my work cage. Lots of attention in the area. I think the new vice president wants to beautify and make useless that area. He's a douchebag, just a talker. I've had that spot for 2 and half years and it's nice. Hopefully I can scare them into realizing what losing my facility would mean for them long enough that the bullshit blows over. So tired of executives wanting to make their mark. Actually, so tired of corporate America in general. I've got five years left. A senior manager, whom I do not trust, is very concerned that is my only desk out there, enough that I get the feeling that they're gunning for that space. Maybe I can fall between the cracks and work from home and be forgotten about for a few years until I retire.

John - Just my 2-cents, but I've owned both tractor w/blade and a snowblower, and while the tractor worked fine, I like the snowblower much better because it gives me much more versatility in directing the snow where I want it to go. I wouldn't let them talk you out of a blower just on their recommendation.
I believe I may have mentioned this before, but I had a female (a real Bitch) that came in as our new Office Director (unit of about 350 personnel) 2-years before I retired. She immediately wanted to make her mark and took me out of a job I loved and made me her "Strategic Lead", sitting in an office directly adjacent to her's. What this meant was that I had to answer everything for her and got absolutely no credit, while she reaped the rewards. Most miserable 2-years of my entire career!
Something I completley understand even though I'm blue collar. Not a problem Chris.
Funny thing is my work shirts are blue collared. Production engineering is closer to that than design. My training program sort of bait and switched a lot of us 20 years ago.
