I assembled the Orange Praline Pecan Sweet Potatoes - took most of the morning. In the refrigerator, now. Supposed to O.N. in refrigerator prior to baking. I think I'll bake this evening instead of traveling w/ it cold out of the refrigerator, keeping it on ice, then baking it tomorrow morning. Should travel better, I think. Then a long slow reheat after arrival at cousins place.

It's been one week since I began daily PT of 30 reps each of 3 different routines. I should have been doing this daily the past 10 - 20 years. These 3 routines stretch & build core, which I'm absolutely loving. I began to supplement this w/ some yoga, but I've found the yoga I was performing is too advanced for me; so, I've moved into this 15' Beginner Friendly Full Body Stretch in addition to the PT. This is working so much better.

Chris - This should help to significantly improve my golf swing by introducing more fluidity/flexibility which I lack - helping to improve my confidence since whitey travels much further & straighter with better tempo & most often a slower swing. I told my cousin playing golf wasn't a deal maker but I'm hoping we can. Lower 70s the next five days.

I think you're spot on, and the increased flexibility will definitely help you're golf swing. Hopefully the PT will also alleviate a substantial portion of the pain you've been experiencing and that will also help your swing tremendously. No one can play well if they're hurting.

It's supposed to be 65° here tomorrow, and then low 70's Fri and Sat, then the bottom drops out again Sun with a high of only 44°, and a low Mon morning of only 19°. Welcome to the midwest!

Norm, in the Adromeda Strain, I could never figure out why the female scientist yelled at the other male scientist (the one who later climbed the ladder while trying to avoid laser blasts) for pretty much of the whole movie. Jim, a nice gesture on your part. Chris, who the heck is blocking the pic of your christmas tree? A nice pic of dawn. Well, I'm off to find a piece of paper that I put where I would not forget it, wherever that may be. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Dan - I know the exact scene you refer to. I'm not sure I can tell you why she (Dr. Leavitt) continued to scream on the ladder scene. She certainly yelled throughout the movie. There was no female scientist in the novel. That character's name was Dr. Peter Leavitt in the novel. Maybe something to the fact she had epilepsy & never told anyone?

Merry Christmas Olds friends

Buying mini biscuits at 1st light was a VERY unique experience. I was the only car in line at Chic fil a when they opened at 6 a.m.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Gonna be a beautiful day. Got some things to do outside then I'll head over to Mom's early for Sonny's ribs.

Put the first coat of red on my bolts this morning, and later on I'll move them outside and do a second coat. It's supposed to be mid 70s today, warmer than in the house. Even got some laundry going.

Hope everyone has a great day. Nice pictures of the boys, and Dawn. I would have guessed CFA would have been slammed on Christmas Eve. What do I know.

Hi guys,

What an awesome dinner we had! It was great grilling outdoors on Christmas Day, I'd be fine with that every Christmas. The RibEyes were excellent! The pups got some of Dawn's steak so they were in heaven

Good morning everyone.

I trust we all had a nice Christmas. I went out and mowed the front and side yards, went to Mom's, had Sonny's. It was yummy.

And now I'm at work. For one day. This is going to mess with me off one day work one day off again. If I were king I would have made available working Saturday for comp time, not pay. It gives people a chance to not be a yoyo and doesn't cost the company overtime.

So I went up to put a second coat of paint on my bolts and they were barely dry, still very tacky. I read the can, dry to touch after 4 hours, recoat after 8. Hm. I'll check them tomorrow and do another coat.

Bathroom guys are back today. It will be soon that we see some visual progress. Mom is getting antsy already and it hasn't even been a week. I told her just keep her eye on the prize.

Okay it will be a little while before I get a wheel, so I think I'll get a snack. Hope everyone has a good day. We get to do this exact thing again next week.

Mike - I'm not saying there's any right way to manage your Holiday schedule, but when I was working and had a Holiday that fell on a Thursday I always planned to take a vacation day on Friday to give me a block of 4-days off in a row for kind of a mini-vacation. It made the holidays seem less hectic and more relaxing to me.

Possible explanation for your still tacky bolts. Don't know what your weather has been like the last 3-days there, but the stretch of very warm weather here has been accompanied by extremely high humidity. Just about everything outside of the climate controlled house is actually damp from dew and fog here. If your humidity is high there too it would certainly explain the slower drying.

Hope the workers do a great job on the bathroom!

Hi.guys,

Keegan's team got off to a great start in their tournament. They won their 1st game 5-1, and their 2nd game 3-1. Keegan had a shutout going in the 2nd game until 1 minute left when the other team pulled their goalie, and then immediately got a 2 on 0 breakaway. Keegan stopped the 1st shot but couldn't control it and the trailing guy essentially had an open net. Still, Keegan was absolutely awesome in goal having several incredible saves. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but right now his team is sitting pretty!

Surprise of all surprises. We got out about 5 minutes to 12 today. The lead came around and said we were going to leave at 11. Later he said stop signing wheels. Then at 11 he said we had to sign off several A350 wheels before we went home. We asked where they were and he said oh they are in work, we should get them in a little while. Typical. Well we never did see them and we went home anyway. Our management has no credibility.

Chris I wasn't thinking ahead. A lot of the guys have families and are always scrambling for time off around Christmas. I didn't have any plans, other than chores, so I don't usually put in for premium days off. I may look up next Friday, though I'm sure it's long been taken. Eh, I don't mind. Saves me a couple days I can take later.

My painted bolts are upstairs in the house. Steady 72* and relative humidity. So no weather acting upon them. I think I was expecting more than I should have. I'm sure they will be ready for the second coat tomorrow.

I'm tired. Gonna hit the sack so I can get up early and go meet the bathroom guys. Got some paint for them today, and dug out some floor tile to see if they want to use it in the shower. If they can use it that saves me a few hundred bucks. I'll take it.

Okay have a good evening everyone.

Hi guys,
I saw some really competitive and exciting games this morning at Keegan's tournament. Keegan played awesome again today, unfortunately they lost their 1st game 2-1 in a hard fought battle. They bounced back in their 2nd game, and Keegan got a shut-out in a 3-0 win. With a tournament record of 3-1 after 2-days, they will definitely be in the Semi Finals tomorrow, but we're not sure which one yet because teams are still playing. I'm having a blast! 👍

Chris, Love, the starting QB is out for tomorrow's game. If they were playing Detroit, that wouldn't matter.😏

GB's game was tonight vs Ravens, but I didn't know Love was out injured/not playing. You're spot on about if GB was playing Detroit, they could still beat the Lions with a bad highschool QB. Six Lions turnovers in that last game was just pitiful!

I think at this point I'm hitching my wagon to the Rams in the NFC and the Bills in the AFC for a Super Bowl match-up. I really enjoy watching both of those teams play.

Christmas day we went down to son's house in St Johns and stayed overnight with him and daughter in law and grandson (who is home on leave from Fort Sill, OK- just completed Army basic training). Dec 26th had a ice storm in area, but we all left there for other son and family's place in Williamston for our family Christmas. All 6 grandkids and 3 "significant others.." were there for a total of 15 people. Just a great Family Christmas!! Linda and I came back up to Harrison that evening. Yesterday (27th) we had the Rogers Christmas at our place- had 10 people here. All of my sister's extended family, brother, and my step Mom. That turned out great too, I am tired of the festivities now. Hope you all got to see your extended families. Looks like I and some buddies are going on a big road trip on the 31st. Don't know if we will end up at a New Years eve party a neighbor is having , we'll see...
