Dan that pizza looks yummy! I may suggest pizza for our evening repast tomorrow.

Chris if those boys play so well together now they will be life long friends.

Not too bad out now, though there's no wind. I've heard conflicting weather reports so the best I can do is wait and see.

Norm maybe you have hyperhomocysteinemia.

Been awhile since I've seen 0030. Gonna hit the sack in a minute. Good night everyone.

Mike - I try to manage hyperhomocysteinemia via a daily Centrum SILVER (MEN 50+) Multivitamin/Multimineral Supplement. I don't believe I present w/ any significant outward indications/symptoms of hyperhomocysteinemia. As we get older, I think most (esp. men) develop an increased propensity of developing mild>moderate forms of hyperhomocysteinemia. If I remember, I might ask my primary physician to test/evaluate my blood homocystein levels during my next blood draw evaluation/physical (March 26th). Thanks for thinking of me.

Chris - I've indicated previously numerous times, there remains a continuous issue of time-outs on this CO developer's playground. I don't believe CO developers have/maintain any formal protocols. It's a playground.

Greg - I will be up there on the afternoon of the 13th, departing sometime on the 16th. Gabe will have multiple games Sat the 14th thru Mon the 16th, but I don't have the exact schedule yet. I will send the schedule to you and Dan as soon as I have it, as well as the location of the hockey rink. I know you'll come if possible.

Whatever I had (I’m saying a Norovirus) it appears to have vacated my body. I’m feeling quite well (today).

I’ve been raking for a couple weeks now - off/on. Now spending more time around the house perimeter so as to ensure the roofing crew can more easily detect debris/nails, etc. to clean up.

I’m to erect some scaffolding. They’re free to make use of it, but it will also provide me easy access to validate their work. My erection will take a couple days but well worth it! LOL 😂 😂

So, was Mike the only one to see the pizza pic? Went to bed at midnight, woke up at 7am with a nasty sinus headache, took a couple of cold and flu capsules, and crashed until noon. Made breakfast at 1pm, french toast, and am now trying to get up the muster to snowblow the driveway. Grocery shopping can wait until tomorrow.

Hi everyone.

Partly sunny but still a little coldish today. If we miss out on the ice storm we usually get around this time I'll be happy. Rained last night so it's been inside stuff today.

Not much happening today. Gotta run a couple errands here in a minute, then I'll just go to Mom's. No need to run back and forth.

Have a great afternoon everyone.

Dan - I hope can get a grip on the sinus headache. That's a miserable feeling.
I'm suggesting/guessing I had a case of Norovirus - came on quickly & disappeared quickly w/ all the suspect symptoms of Norovirus. I almost blew chow - glad I didn't. Appears it's vacated my body as I feel quite well, today.
Spent a couple hours raking around the house perimeter, not quite finished - probably one more day. This is to help/assist the roofing crew in locating nails & debris during the tear-off ensuring their magnet can easily sweep the ground. Assembled/Erected one section of scaffolding two tiers in height mostly for my own benefit to ease getting on/off the roof as I evaluate their work; but, they're welcome to use the scaffolding, as well. I could assemble/erect more sections but don't see the need. It takes me awhile to get these erections at my age.

Well Gabe's team was playing another very good team this morning (8:45) and again I wasn't giving them much of a chance, but they almost pulled off another major upset. Gabe's team got off to a great start with Gabe scoring the game's 1st goal with about 5-minutes left in the 1st Period. His goal was followed by one from one of his teammates about 2-minutes later and the 1st Period ended 2-0. The other team scored their 1st goal early in the 2nd Period, and then got a 2nd on a Power Play late in the Period with the 2nd Period ending 2-2. The game remained tied until about 5-minutes left when the other team got another Power Play opportunity and again they made the most of it making it 3-2, which was the final score. Tough loss for sure! Next game is tonight at 7pm, an hour's drive away in McKendree, Illinois. Then they'll have a game tomorrow morning at 10am, again at McKendree. After tomorrow's game we'll see how the chips shake out and see if they've gotten into either the Championship game or the 3rd/4th Consolation game. I think they're definitely going to have to win either tonight or tomorrow to at least get into the consolation game.

Sure hope you guys who have been feeling poorly start feeling better, and that everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend! 😃

I'm still not paying any cable T.V. provider to watch this game even though I'd love to watch it live. And, I'm not going to sit in some tavern/bar/saloon full of wheezing/coughing/sniffling derelicts just to watch the game.

It ought to be a good game. Both very good teams. I sure hope Indiana finishes their dream season undefeated, I've always hated Miami!

Norm, I hate the way the cable/internet streaming services rape folks, but what are ya going to do? Dawn and I are such homebodies, and we get alot of enjoyment out of watching our shows, separately and together. I just look at it as an expense for enjoyable entertainment. Plus, and I find myself saying this more and more these days, I can't take my $'s with me when I'm gone and I should be happy spending it on stuff I enjoy!

I get it, I really do! My car events are my weekly expense and pastime in late Spring - early Fall, but if I didn't have cable to watch Football (College and Pro), and now Hockey, over the Winter months I'd go out of my gourd!

I used to make fun of "couch potatoes" who sat around and watched TV. Well now I am one, I still would rather go out and do sumpin, but watching old Movies for not quite free, but pretty cheap seems logical now a days...

Good morning guys,

Gabe's team continues to surprise me in their Tournament, pulling off another significant upset! The game started with an extremely tense moment for me and his entire team, only about 2-minutes into the game Gabe got the stole the puck in his own end and headed for the other end with 2 players in pursuit. I think being worried about the 2 players behind him and trying to get set-up for a shot he misjudged how fast he was going. He got the shot off, but then crashed full speed with his right shoulder into the left upright of the goal, knocking him down, then sliding and crashing into the boards. He was down for about 30-seconds then picked himself up and made it to the bench on his own power. To his credit he was back out there on his next shift and did seem the worse for wear.

Gabe then proceeded to open the floodgates with the 1st goal of the game with about 2-minutes left in the 1st Period, and before the middle of the 2nd Period his team had a 4-0 lead. Then, like yesterday morning, Gabe's team started to let the other team make a run at them. At one point in the 3rd the other team had made it back to within 1, 4-3, but then Gabe's team answered to make it 5-3. Then the other team scored again to make it 5-4, but Gabe answered back with his 2nd goal with about 2-minutes left to seal the win 6-4. What a crazy game!

This morning the boys fate is in their own hands. If they beat or tie the team they play at 10am they will play later in the day for the Championship. If they lose they are out, there is no 3rd/4th place Consolation game. I'm sure hoping they can pull off one more upset and at least make it into the Championship! 😃

I've flown into Scott AFB several times when I was on USAF active duty in the 70s. I could catch free rides on USAF aircraft manifests between military bases. Good luck to the team.

I've been to the Air Show at Scott several times, taking my girls when they were little and it's a great one. They've also got a really nice golf course there that I probably played 5 or 6 times on back when I was playing alot. I could get on Base with my DoD CAC card and got discounted greens fees. I can still get on Base if I wanted to with my DoD retiree card.

Hi guys,

Well unfortunately the boys could not pull off another upset. There was no fire, passion, or aggression out of the whole team, including Gabe, from the get go. It was 4-0 after the 2nd Period, then 5-0 about a minute into the 3rd. I think Gabe finally got pissed off, and he took the puck end to end to score about 2-minutes into the 3rd, and then he scored again with about 3-minutes left to make it 5-2. Way too little too late, and it ended 6-2. Would have been really nice to see them make it into the Championship, but overall I think they overachieved with the personnel they have. Gabe had a very good tournament with 8 Points (6 goals/2assists) in their 4 games. I had fun, well not so much today, LoL 😂 ! Actually, I had a Blast, can't win em all at any level! 😃

Hi everyone.

Sunny but a bit chilly today. No wind so it isn't so bad. Just got back from running a couple errands. The heat in the car is fantastic and I usually end up opening a window a couple inches.

Chris that's one tough boy crashing into the goal and coming back for more. It's okay that they didn't win the whole thing, you can't play at full throttle the whole time, eventually there's just no more steam. They have nothing to be sorry about. How's the coach doing these days?

Golf is not a game I ever got into. I've played a couple times, and I even had my own clubs. They were my dad's clubs, which he didn't play either, but they were a novelty since they were left handed clubs.

The snow we were supposed to get went way south of me. Usually it hits up near Jamesbo. Don't know what it's supposed to do this week.

Okay gotta find something to do so the whole day doesn't slip away. Maybe Mom will want to go out to a fun place for dinner. Have a good afternoon everyone

Mike - I've got video now of Gabe crashing into the goal full bore. Having watched it several times now, it make's feel like I'm watching a loved one or good friend get in a car wreck, and I'm even more amazed he even got up and was able to continue! You're right, they have nothing to hang their heads about whatsoever. The Coach, well he is what he is. In my opinion he's still pulling some real bone head coaching moves that are impacting the team's ability to be their best, but at this point it is what it is, and I don't think there's anything that's gonna change it. Hopefully Gabe will get a better coach next year?

Did you ever go out anywhere nice for dinner with your Mom?

Good morning guys,

Frigid here this morning, still only 16° at 11am with 15mph sustained winds. Brrrrr!

With all the hockey going on this past weekend, the CFP Championship Game snunk up on me tonight. I'm really rooting for Indiana to finish their dream season and win it all!

NFL Divisional Championship Games are now set with some new blood in the mix, which is nice to see. In the AFC it will be the Broncos vs the Patriots, and in the NFC it will be the Rams vs the Seahawks. I'm hoping for a Broncos vs Rams Super Bowl, with the Rams winning the Championship. I'm a big fan of Mathew Stafford, QB of the Rams.

No big plans for this week. The most important goal for this week is just the two of us getting back to 100% healthy. Crud seems to be hanging on, but we're getting there.

Hope everyone has a great day and week! 😃

The crud is extremely individual specific & relative to a gemish of factors. My cousins & family members are experiencing -24°F windchill temps. today. I'll wager Keith is experiencing the same.
