The *NEW* Good Morning Thread!
I've only been to Holland one time when I was a Senior in Highschool and thought it was a pretty little town. I went there for a a football recruiting day at Hope College. Hope College is in the same Athletic Conference (MIAA) as Albion College where I ended up going.
Good morning everyone.
Things are going well at work. Nothing is broke and I have a good team.
I've never been to Holland MI but I know someone who lives there. She hosts an Amphicar swim in once in a while, I really should go.
Gonna be nice this week but cold. This is about the time in January we get a bad ice storm. And me without my 4 wheel drive.
Not much else to report. I felt a little out of sorts when I woke up this morning, things have slowly gotten clearer. Got a couple errands to run after work, that should be exciting.
Have a great day everyone.

I checked the final score after the football game was over and saw the Red Wings had let the Hurricanes come back to send it to Overtime, where Detroit won. I didn't watch any highlights to see the non-call you're referencing. I'll have to check it out?
Mike - Hope your day continues to go well. You'd enjoy a weekend up in Michigan on the lake in the Summertime!
Good morning guys,
Gonna be a beautiful day today, unusually warm, low 60's before another plunge and back to mid-30's tomorrow. No substantial precip in the foreseeable future though.
Right now I'm just biding my time staying home and trying to get get to the point where I test negative for the Rona so I can go to the boys games again. Gabe has a regular game Wednesday evening, then a big Tournament (minimum 4 games) here in St. Louis called the Ice Blast this weekend. The Tournament is held at multiple venues in the greater StL area.
Hope everyone has a great day! 😃

I watched the Detroit/Carolina O/T Period. Even the Detroit announcers said Detroit was very lucky that Cross-Checking was not called on the O/T goal, and I agree! Guess it was a "Home" call or the Refs were getting hungry?
I was never a big Kid Rock fan but always loved that song of his about being at the Lake in Michigan in the summertime! Gotta say the pride of Michigan Rock & Roll to me will always be Bob Seger, I can listen to his stuff all day! "She was a dark haired beauty with big brown eyes, and points all her own sitting way up high, way up firm and high!" Oh yeah!!!
To deny a goal to an offensive team when that team managed to skate free of the cross check I believe is the appropriate outcome. Refs may have or may not have even seen it. He was rewarded correctly. My take.
Norm - Excuse my ignorance, but I don’t think I understand what you're trying to say. What I observed was that the Detroit player who scored the O/T goal was parked in front of the blue paint with a Carolina player fronting him. When the Detroit player cross-checked him in the back, the Carolina player went down leaving the Detroit player completely open to receive the puck and score the winning goal?
Please watch the clip shown in the video I sent that is shown after the goal is scored and game is over. It clearly shows the goal scorer Copp blasting the Carolina defenseman right in the back, knocking him to the ice and out of the play. Then Copp is wide open in front of the net to receive the pass and score!
No it is not irrelevant. In fact, it set the stage for the outcome of the game. Additionally, it is NOT what the announcers were all up in arms about. It was the cross-check by Aho to DeBrincat which should have been called but was not called.
Watch this then tell me what you're missing....

It was very good as always! Wish you could have tried some! This Rona is playing hell with my appetite though. I have taste, and the food tastes great, but I just can't eat much without getting full fast. That wouldn't be a bad problem to have year round if it wasn't for all the other $hit that goes with it! 😉
Wonder how Patrick Kane is doing w/ the Red Wings. I guess he keeps renegotiating one year extensions. I enjoyed watching Patrick & Jonathan Toews during their time together w/ The Blackhawks. I forgot (Alex) DeBrincat played alongside Kane/Toews maybe what one year or two years?

Yes, bizarre! I read some backstory that the 2 boys in question (twins) were cut from future episodes of a show Busfield has some level of creative control over and that the boys' mother had an axe to grind. Guess we'll see?
