What is the most mazing about Gabe is his multi talent. Me, I flunked recorder in gramar school and still have zero musical talent Last time I had on a pair oof ice skates [6th grade] I got 20 stiches in my head Chris I'm sure you are proud
Yep, I'm very proud of him. I just found out yesterday his classmates voted him Captain of the Middle School Chess Team, something I taught him how to play initially. In full disclosure, it isn't all sunshine and roses with the boy though. His Mom has to ride him like a rented mule to get him to do his damn schoolwork. He's come very close now a couple of times to having his hockey privileges taken away.
Jim - It's a water proof flexible membrane tape. Something they've developed sometime in the past 100 years (I guess). Supposedly it's been used in the building industry in other countries before usage in the states. I never heard of it until I saw it in use. Thought I'd give it a whirl sounds like an advantage to keep moisture/water from standing/penetrating tops of the joists. I'm no expert on this stuff but the logic seems to make sense (I guess).
Jim Good luck on cataract surgery, I just had mine done- quite a light show, huh? I am waiting for my eyeballs to stabilize and then I will get new glasses. Are you gonna need glasses? I will cuz I have a prism issue which needs lenses to correct- my eyes don't focus together right.
Haven't had much to contribute lately, but you can thank Nixo, Missouri for drawing me out of the shadows.
Jamesbo should be done with surgery by now, hope everything went well.
You guys may remember I've been looking for a car that was built on the day I was born. I just saw a 67 Cutlass(442 clone) on marketplace, in Nixo, Missouri, with the date code 06C. I asked if she had any paperwork or documents and she said no. But she gave the VIN. So my question for John, do you have anywhere VIN information on the 67s? If I knew what cars they started and ended the week with I could average it and find out what day of the week this car probably was built on.
I found a website that had VIN information for my 57 chevy. I knew it was built in Atlanta, and they had the range of cars built each day. My car was built April 18. Too bad this Cutlass has to be that ugly Saffron yellow. But it would become beautiful if it were built on the day I'm looking for.
Things have been smooth at work all day, I ended up signing 32 wheels. That isn't really exceptional for me as of late, but it does mean that the others are signing more of their fair share, and I don't mind that.
Okay back to drooling over this ad, and looking for VIN information. Have a good afternoon everyone.

Mike - Good luck in your quest! 🤞 I don't know if I ever made this connection before, but you and Dawn are the same age, but she's a month older. BTW, my car is a 06D car, close but no cigar!
I was never thrilled about school work, though it did get done before I went to bed, putting it off as long as I could. Jim, I hope it went well with the surgery. Mike, Saffron is one of my favorites for the mid to late 60's Oldsmobiles. Triple yellow is cool in my opinion. My '69 is a O6D, a couple of years off to boot. Ordered a new Dell a few minutes ago, nothing fancy for this non gamer. We were supposed to have 40% of off Lenovo computers, but a couple of weeks ago I went to the company benefits site, and clicked on the link, which got me to Lenovo's website, but no discount. I called the # for Lenovo's help, but after a few minutes, it was decided that it was my companies issue, not theirs. Tuesday, I talked to one of our I.T. guys who was doing some trouble shooting for me on my scanner system, and he pointed out that the company had just bought all new Dell computers, and that we no longer had any business with Lenovo, and more than likely was the reason for the non savings one Lenovo's site. Now i went to Dell's website, poking around, but with only a 5% discount, I said no thanks. Yesterday, because of that snooping, I recieved a Dell sales link. Well hell, went and bought a new one and saved $150. Nothing to write home about, but better than a kick in the pants. Well, my fingers need to take a breather. So bye for now.

Dan - Pretty cool your car is an 06D build too! Did you buy a desktop or laptop? I'm in the same boat as you, I need to buy a new computer. I'm pretty set on getting another laptop. I don't need anything supper exotic or fast, no gaming here either. The 2 things I do want are at least a 17" screen (what I have now), and at least 1TB of internal storage (what I have now). I need to go to Best Buy and poke around and see what's there? I will look at the Dells. The HP that I have right now has served me well, no real complaints.
Mike, I don't have that info. 6C was June 12 through 16. That was the date the tag was stamped at Fisher. It probably took a few days to get through the pipe, so, if you were hatched in the latter of that week, the car was certainly in the pipe somewhere then. My 67 is a 05E Memorial Day car and my 72 is an 04A April Fools car. I think my 68 was way late in the run. 06B my phone says on a picture I took. Flag Day?
I've never owned a laptop, tablet or notebook. I was always provided a specifically configured corporate PC. I've built all of my own desktop PCs & servers. My Insignia monitor is 48" (diagonal).
Dell produces very good high quality & durable equipment w/ excellent product support. And, by product support I am not simply referring to customer service support, but instead they are continually updating their s/w to meet/address demands of the industry e.g. s/w, drivers, & compatibility issues. Dan - I think you'll be very pleased.
I've been checking often in the last several months for any news on the next MS Windows version, release date, s/w &/or h/w requirements - "All Quiet On The Western Front"
And, a great view of all the $200 - $300 seating tickets which will remain empty the entire game.
I'd bet this place will be packed to the gills by puck drop. We're here super early because Keegan had to drop his equipment off at a special security entrance. I've never seen the Blues play at this facility, it's really nice. Our seats are really not awful, the rink actually looks much closer with the naked eye than through my camera.
I need to build a new machine. My current one dates from 2018. I have purchased one laptop, old now, have a very old additional one, and have been through at least 6, if not more, laptops in my career. This does not count computers I just have at work due to my role.
I have built approx 30 PCs in 25 years or so, about 10 of them for me. I used to build one every year in college during the processor wars. Then every couple years. Then 4 or so, then 5, now 7. This current machine has been my longest, but I spent the most money on it, it was absolutely top of the line in 2018. I need to refurbish it as well as build a new one.
I see no real need for laptops, especially since I have a work laptop until I retire.
Place was packed at puck drop. Too bad the Blues stunk the place up in a 5-0 loss. I think Keegan was the best player in Blue on the ice tonight. Keegan in goal. They only got to play for about 7-minutes, but it was really something to see him out there! He was only tested once, a shot by the closest player in white from only about 8ft away. Keegan smothered it! In his Victory slide as he exited the ice.

Jim - You did great with the typing. Thanks for letting us know the surgery went as expected. I hope after healing you get the results you are hoping for. 🙏
Jamesbo glad everything came out okay. Mom had her cataracts done but just did the standard deal, she said it would have been about 3K otherwise. She still can see fine without glasses but uses readers for close up stuff, like reading.
John so you're saying i've been looking at this all wrong for 40 years? I've always heard 06C was the 19th through the 23rd. So that would make June 1 & 2 06A and June 26 through 30 06E. I don't think I've ever seen an 06E. Damn I need to figure this out for sure.
Looks like it's shaping up for a good Friday. We have about 40 wheels already built and ready to be signed off. We won't get out any earlier, unless our lead isn't here. The weather is gonna be nice all weekend, hope I can get out and get something done.
Okay it's almost 5. Hope everyone has a good day and a good weekend.
Hey Norm. That's a lot of joist hangers and bridging. Looks great. My back is hurting from looking at all the work you did
Good Morning, Ray. Thanks. Great to hear from you. Hope everything is fine in your neck of the woods. I managed to rebuild the base of one newel post yesterday & the second newel post is on my agenda, today.
Mike - Forty wheels at 5am? That seems quite remarkable to start the day w/ so many wheels.
Evidently we have a supposedly significant storm forecast for the weekend beginning sometime tonight. I guess I haven't been paying attention to this Nor'Easter formation along the coast. Supposed to bring large amounts of rain (and wind). Add to the large amounts of rain, King Tide has now set in the past couple of days. King Tide causes about two feet higher daily tide levels. If we get 6" rain on top of King Tide there will be some serious flooding along the coastline.
Jim - Love that Ray Charles tune.
Chris - Sounds like you had a nice night at the arena.
I'd better get at it. I slept in much longer today. Time to setup shop in the yard.
