-- eBay has a huge advertising campaign that says you will get right part and if not a complete refund!! See it on TV all the time. I ordered a U-joint once on eBay for the Olds and found later that I had ordered wrong one- MY Fault! but they paid return shipping. Anyway we'll see how this goes. I am prepared to send it back at their cost. You guys know anything else I can do?
Greg - I have seen that eBay Ad at least 100 times, thanks for the future warning.
Dawn uses PayPal all the time to pay for furniture or purchase supplies/tools for her refinishing business and has had good luck with them as far as filing disputes. I'm sorry, but I don't have a PayPal account, so I can't give you specifics on how best to contact them to do that. Maybe one of your kids, or an acquaintance that uses it frequently could walk you through it? Wish I could be of more help! Good luck.
Morning began w/ a two gram serving of Amoxicillin, followed by several ampules of Lidocaine & a side-dish of kick-me-in-the-teeth. Straumann titanium exosteal implant complete. Out of the chair by 8:40am, downed two 650mg Acetaminophen I brought w/ me & back home by 9:30am.
Picked up ten Oxy tabs, seven day supply of Amoxicillin & an oral Chlorhexidine oral mouth rinse @ pharmacy. Lidocaine beginning to wear off, just downed one Oxy before any chance of pain sets in.
I opened the WHOLE BEAN coffee I purchased from Amazon yesterday only to find the pkg. incorrectly labeled. Label stated WHOLE BEAN (what I ordered), opened the pkg. & it's GROUND COFFEE inside. Called the Amazons, they credited my account, told me to keep the coffee they sent. I'd say by & large considering the greater majority of purchases I've made both on Amazon & eBay I've never really experienced a serious issue (ever) other than the annoyance/nuisance of returning items for any reason.
As I suspected, lunch for me was a bust. The tacos came an hour late, and there were boxes and boxes of them and they weren't labeled, and the ones I picked out had some sauce on them that put my mouth on fire. Next time the company wants to do tacos I'm bringing something of my own. I voted for pizza.
Norm not being a coffee drinker, what's the difference in getting whole beans or ground coffee? Aren't you going to grind the whole beans anyway?
We've been getting little bursts of wheels all morning. We'll do a few, then sit two hours, then do a few more, then sit some more. Either we've been putting out an enormous amount of wheels we don't need over the years, or we're getting wheels from somewhere else. We have about 1000 planes, most of them with 6 wheels and some with more. What we've put out since September can't come close to the operational need. Well, look for me in the soup line because that's where we'll all end up.
Gonna try to move stuff around in the yard this afternoon. The SRX needs to go in the garage so it can start to dry out. That leaves my sister's car outside. I texted her to tell her, thinking it might spark the idea that she needs to come get it. Nope. I told her she could keep it here as long as she wants, she doesn't really have any place for it at her house.

Mike - The whole beans will stay fresher a longer period of time so when you do eventually grind them the taste is more robust as opposed to storing ground coffee which will taste, IMO, less robust.
Norm - I hope the implant healing goes well and the Oxy makes the pain tolerable. I know from my wife's experience it can be pretty achy for awhile.
My wife went to the Dentist yesterday and was told that a tooth they have been trying to save now for about 3-years now with a new filling and decay arresting medicine will now need a Crown. Ugh!!! I'm glad we are fortunate to have pretty good dental insurance, but it'll still be a big chunk of change.
I haven't been posting on here much lately, other than to comment on other guy's posts. Frankly, it's because there hasn't been a whole helluva lot going on. The last few days I've been playing delivery man for my wife, helping her to deliver or pickup furniture she's either finished or taking on. She's been getting a fare share of referral work the last couple of years so she doesn't spend as much time trying to find cheap pieces to buy and then refinish.
I hate Winter, mainly because I miss car season and looking forward to getting my car out on the weekends. I am looking forward to the College Football Playoff games starting this weekend, there are alot of great match-ups. Of course there's also the grandson's hockey games to go to and enjoy, but they haven't had many lately that were within a reasonable driving distance. Gabe does have a game tonight at his home rink in Arnold that is only 10-miles away that I'm going to. Well that's about the extent of my days/weeks this time of year, but I ain't complaining, it's all good, I'm thankful for every day!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching grandson Gabe's hockey game tonight, despite the fact that his team suffered their worst loss of the season, 6-2. Gabe had a hand in both his team's scores with a goal and an assist. He's really having a fine season so far, even after moving up to the Elite level. My cellphone is not very good for taking action shots, but here's a few pics. His team is in the white jerseys, and he's #75.

Have used Paypal when i purchased parts from members here , very easy to pay if you know sellers e-mail.
Worked fine when shopping other carparts also We have an mastercard for use only on internet so
other accounts are safe.
Coming up on break and I have 4 wheels. Whoa stop the presses. Maybe when they boost us all out of here I can go work for Jamesbo in the cemetery. That would be quite a commute.
Chris looks like some action going on there. Do they ever get into scraps like in the big leagues? "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out."
Got the cars switched around like I wanted to. You know the Cadillac place told me the leaking sunroof was getting water into the ECM and shorting it out, necessitating a new ECM. I figured out the ECM is on top of the battery, which is under the hood. Nowhere near the sunroof or the drains or the floor for that matter. Typical dealer BS. At least with it in the garage I can start taking it apart and fixing whatever is leaking and it will dry out. Not sure what to do about the ECM because I'm not a spark chaser. But I sure as heck ain't letting some over-zealous garage work on it. Three grand, sheesh.
If things dry out this afternoon I'm going to go over and do more tree stuff. I haven't worked on it in a couple weeks I think. I'm generating all this firewood and I don't have anything to burn it in.
Okay think I'll take a walk. Hope everyone is having a good day. One more after this one...
My main man in the mountains dug up c. 65 Forsythia bushes and I brought them back to plant in the cemetery yesterday. Ever winter we add a few to the eastern boundary. and every year the spring looks a little better
Chris I went ice skating in the 7th grade and got 18 stiches in my head [ no hockey fight] and haven't returned
Gonna visit some funeral homes and take them a basket of satsumas [to drum up businesses]
Good morning everyone.

Hi do your chainsaw work fine now Mike ? Wierd that the Cadillacplace said that the water shorting your ECM out when it´s
under the hood. . What kind of Cadillac is it ? Here in Sweden there are some problems with Tesla also. Not so fun
with a expensive car.
Glenn the saw does okay now. It flipped its chain a couple times and I didn't think it should, but I get it back on and adjust it and it cuts real well. I keep it sharpened and it cuts like butter.
I have a 2012 Cadillac SRX. I think the Cadillac dealer just assumes the customer is going to agree with whatever they say and not question anything. I wouldn't make a very good rich person because it doesn't matter how much money I had I wouldn't let someone cheat me just because I could afford it.
Went to the credit union and was gone an hour and came back to no wheels. Geez. Well the wall guy reluctantly told me he gave two wheels to another guy because he needed them out of his way. I like this guy and didn't make a big deal about it, but anyone else, whoa nelly.
Getting on to lunch. I'm hungry. Not having tacos.
Good morning everyone.

Mike - At this age (12) they are'nt even allowed to purposely body check another player. Fighting is an immediate ejection and possible suspension. So no scraps at this age. Plenty of time to turn them into hooligans when they get older.

I never played any organized hockey, but played alot of backyard hockey with my neighborhood buddies on the lake behind our home. No helmets of pads of any kind. I pulled a trick similar to yours once when I caught a slapshot to my forehead. A trip to the Emergency Room and seven stiches. My parents were not pleased!
Hope everybody having a nice Christmas . Here we have no snow , yesterday we had a lot of rain instead ( but we don´t miss the snow )
Glenn - Hope you and your family are having a great Christmas season too! It must be very unusual for you not to have snow where you are this time of year? We usually don't have snow on the ground at Christmas here, and doesn't look like we will this year either. We're supposed to have highs in the low to mid-50°F's this coming week. Unusually warm, but I'll take it, and we'll be one week closer to Spring.

Ok Mike , very nice that the chainsaw works
Would be great to own a Cadillac one time in life.

Thanx Chris yes we usually have snow but maybe not this year. We are all waiting to drive our Oldsmobiles again i start the water exercise in januari again . This was very good for my knees.
Well Glenn I can tell you owning a Cadillac is overrated. I own two Cadillacs, actually. The other is an 87 Brougham. It's rear drive, and has the roller Olds 307. I'd say that that car was nicer in its time than the SRX is now. I got the distinct impression from the Cadillac guy that since my car was 12 years old it was not worth him spending time with me, and since he knew I had bought it used that I wasn't worthy of owning a Cadillac anyway. I got the same attitude when I drove a Mercedes.
I notice that you have tractors in your signature. Is this you?
I like that tractor Mike , must been a bumpy ride but not me . We have a Ford 5000 -70 and a Deutz -78 here , old but works. I like the looks of the -87 Brougham , Cadillacs from the 50-60 ties
are popular here my brother had an -67 deville conv
many years ago and have a -68 deville conv at home now.
It would be very nice to have a newer US car with three point seatbelts for more safety.
Norm look at the last line of Glenn's signature. It says, Honda Dirtbike and a couple of tractors. Yes having some fun with Glenn, that tractor that's screaming around is in Sweden.
Got some of the tree cut up but stepped on a board with a nail in it and boy howdy did that hurt. There's a rotten bunch of landscape timbers around the mailbox and they all came apart when the tree fell on them. I didn't see the one and a big old nail went right through my shoe. I went in and had Mom look at my foot, nothing. I could see the hole in my shoe but there was no hole in my sock. So I'm glad I didn't skewer my foot. Did that one time before it wasn't pleasant.
One more then the weekend. I'm gonna sand blast those parts for the Chevy this weekend. I took that car out for a quick spin the other day. With those control arms rubbing the wheels it is virtually undrivable.
Got some of the tree cut up but stepped on a board with a nail in it and boy howdy did that hurt.
Mike - Really glad the nail only went thru the shoe and not into your foot! Might be a good reminder to check when the last time you had a Tetanus shot?
Norm that is good news. You know what I could do is get a bunch of those vapor street lights and put all around my yard, and then it would be light out all night long. Not sure my neighbors would like that. Also tomorrow is exactly 6 months to my birthday. I'll start planning the bash now.
We had a whole bunch of wheels ready for us this morning. We must have bought them because where were they yesterday? No matter, putting 150 wheels into the system at once will help out.
Chris my last tetanus shot was 2018, so I'm good there. One time many years ago I cut myself and the nurse said, you need a tetanus shot. It had only been a couple years since I had one. I said no I'm good. She asked when my last one was. I rattled off September 17, 1998. She didn't believe me. She said I'll give you one anyway it sounds like you made that up. I said you're not giving me a tetanus shot! Why that date sticks in my mind I don't know, but that's when I had one. Had one in 08, and 18.
Lots to do this weekend, hope it's nice. I don't care if it's cold, my big boy pants are insulated. Now if it rains, I'm hiding.
There is a TON of misinformation regarding a Td or Tdap vaccine. Do your own research but the incidence of any one agent (tetanus, diptheria, pertusis) is nearly zero (negligible) in the U.S.A. Tetanus vaccine provides ~30 yrs immunity. Diphtheria is nearly completely eliminated & pertussis is a primary concern for infants <2 months of age. Nearly every single human being in the U.S.A. received a Tdap vaccine from their primary physician between the age of 2 months - 12 months (unless they belonged to some aboriginal or religious cult who denied their children/infants vaccine protection). I think it's something like 99% of any encephalitic issues (or deaths) occur w/ infants <2 months of age. I don't know current law, but a practicing physician was required by law to administer the Tdap vaccine to every single human being born in the U.S.A. since somewhere around 1940 (I think) - you can look up your own data.
NO - tetanus is NOT caused by a puncture of a rusty nail. It is a COMPLETE falsehood. Tetanus is found in ALL soil types and any type of material including fecal matter from all animals (pigs, donkeys, humans, cows, etc.) - it's everywhere it is NOT just found on a rusty nail. Any nail can have tetanus (spores) growing on it and ANY soil can have tetanus growing on it. In fact, most human beings come into contact w/ Tetanus almost daily while living a normal life. Your body routinely fights tetanus and nearly all infections on a minute-by-minute basis. The issue is really this: Young infants <2 months of age have a very, very, very poorly developed immunity to nearly all infectious diseases. Infants <2 months of age have a very, very difficult time fighting (warding) off any infection but in particular tetanus, diphtheria &/or pertussis.
If humans followed the advice of some (many) medical practitioners, you'd need a Tdap vaccine for every single cut, abrasion &/or wound you received at any single time in your life. POINT: You're fighting tetanus, diphtheria & pertussis on a daily/routine basis. And, you may have guessed it - you're building an immunity to tetanus, diphtheria & pertussis with every single (nearly daily) exposure to these agents.
Neonates can/will develop some immunity from a mother's immune system. They can further develop a far much stronger/better immunity by drinking breast milk rather than store-bought milk of any type.
Every single child should be taught to suck ****.

I missed the better part of the game since I fell asleep @ half-time in my opium den. Oh well.
That's a shame, you missed a great comeback by the Chargers. Big in state match-up tonight in the College Playoffs with Indiana playing at ND. It will be the 1st time the 2 schools have met in football in the last 30-years.
Virtually no pain from either the eye surgery or the tooth implant. No black & blue eye (yet); although, I suppose this could change. Winner winner chicken dinner.
So what I got out of that was whenever I get a cut I should go suck a tit. Okay.
Went out for lunch. I hadn't been to my place in a few weeks, it was nice to go. I actually can't believe they still serve some of those Korean dishes. I'm glad they do.
Gonna go get some gas for the Mercedes after work. I got a new battery for it and it wouldn't start, I think it needs gas. If that doesn't cure it, then I think I'll get out the baseball bat.
We're really cooking along. I got 31 so far, with a couple hours to go. We should do well.
My wife is an incredible baker. Of all the baked goods she makes, these are my favorite. From scratch, Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns, even the Caramel is from scratch. They absolutely melt in your mouth when warm, and they're just as good 2 or 3-days later with 20-seconds in the microwave as they are fresh out of the oven. They are gourmet!!!
Pretty chilly this morning, it's still only 29° at 0930, with a high of only 36° projected. At least it's sunny out though. No White Christmas here this year. Weatherman is forecasting a high of 55° and rain on Christmas day.
If you're a football fan, today is going to be a dandy! There are 3 1st round College Football Playoff (CFP) games today, and 2 key NFL games. My Chiefs play in the early NFL game at Noon against the Texans who are fighting for a playoff spot. The big news in this game is whether the Chiefs star QB, Patrick Mahomes, will play today since the Chiefs have already secured a playoff spot and he injured his ankle in last week's game.
Hope everyone has a great day and rest of your weekend!
Guess where I am. Work! Since I knew no one would be here I brought my control arms from the Chevy to run them through the sand blaster. It's actually aluminum oxide. Does a beautiful job and leaves a perfect finish. I got them all cleaned up and painted and now I'm waiting for the paint to dry.
Cleaned up a bunch of the tree today and swept and raked. The place actually looks better. Still many more days until the job is complete but baby steps.
Tomorrow is Walmart and laundry. What fun. Then two irregular weeks. We'd call that an IROP.
Okay gonna go watch paint dry. Have a good evening everyone.
