Raingear electric wipers in '56 Olds?

I swear I read in one of the threads here that someone installed RainGear electric wipers in their tri-five Olds and now I can't find it anywhere... Has anyone successfully installed RainGear in their (in my case, '56) Olds? I'm curious if the '56 Chevy system will fit properly as the two cars are dimensionally similar.

I was not familiar with RainGear and just looked at their site. Man those things are expensive. I put electric wipers on my 54 and they were like $215 and made to fit. They are bolt in and work perfectly. I can find the name if you are interested.

The most popular is New Port Engineering:

As Glenn said, easy to install and work perfectly. And if you do it right, you can use the original control **** on the dash.

X2 on the Newport, work great and look stock if you are a chevy man or judge.

A 57 chevy electric motor can be made to work on a Old's but new holes will need to be drilled and to me it's more work than just putting a Newport in and and just get on with life. Here is a link on the Newport that might help you on your install if you go that way others have found it helpful....Tedd
