oil filter

i own a 1947 olds dynamic 76 sedan I want to change the oil now I have this huge filter on the fire wall close to the size of a gallon of milk I already took it off put no numbers for replacement I know its out there forgot the numbers. Does anybody have any idea what number it is engine all original
flat 6 with auto trans if I knew how to post pictures I would do so still trying to figure it out

No oil filter was NAPA Part #1554 7 3/4" Diameter 10" Tall biggest oil filter i ever saw as soon as i get some pictures i will post
