Yes sir, like John said greatest feeling and the best part is that she needs minimal attention.

I know but cops down here don't seem to think so. First they'll pull you over to tell you they like your car then write you a ticket I know my cousin is one. I'm going to run smitty glasspacks, so I think it will still sound cool

Yes sir love that rattle, quick question though, do you remember what size you went with on yours? I was looking some up and they range from 22-30" and they have them from 2 to 2 1/2 inlet

I know about the police. I live in a dense city where I have to watch that stuff too. I'd like to switch over to glass packs. I'm interested in the info you're looking for too.

I've heard the mellow tones online but never heard them in person, I was thinking smithy because my friend had some on his 61 and they sounded great

the front disk set up is from a company called scarebird.com. As for the a/c, it was an option in 56 I have the factory vents and control but I'm going to install an aftermarket vintage air set up (hopefully one day )

rode around today testing the fan 95 degrees out and the car stayed at around 190-200. Looked at it for about 40 min in the parking lot then drove around for about another 30 min.

thanks for your reply.
But the dash for a/c is different from the normal one?
I would like to add a set up from vintageair but i would rather prefer the factory look

I had an a/c dash that I took the measurements off of and cut the holes for the a/c vents, but that got sold along with the extra set of vents. I would look for some vents first before attempting any cuts. They fit from late 55 and all 56 models.

this is what the dash looks like

and the vents

center control that mounts under glove box

Just found a new aftermarket power antenna nut in stainless steel to replace the one I cracked. Not exact but better than not having one. Still need to find a base. Not much else happening with the old girl since I'm still waiting for my smithy mufflers

btw I got it from this guy

does any body know what's the deal with these clocks? I burned the coil on one in the car took another one cleaned the points ran it for about 15 min and it started smoking once again

video of other clock working
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgbW3reClFg

it's got 12v to it could it be that it's getting a bad ground through the chrome?

love the way they sound but for some reason I'm getting a lot of vibration in the car. Don't know if I need timing or if they need to weld another support on the exhaust

Looks good. I plan on putting some on my car sometime down the road. I also would like to make it dual again. The guy who had it before me redid the whole exhaust and made it single.

I'm waiting till after my wedding. I'm getting married in 25 days and I don't want to risk being in the middle of a project and not being able to use the car. We plan on leaving the church in the '55. Our friends are going to do the car up like they would back in 50's and 60's.

Then I'll look at taking the seats out and fixing the floor. Then will come the mat!
