Hung the pedal up today and got the booster in. I still have to drill the bottom bolts for the booster and get a longer trow rod between the pedal and booster(the pedal sits to low)

Thanks, about time right , I still think the pedal needs to come up a little bit but the rod that came with the kit is at its end. This week I going to try to finish the tubing, bleeding and then it is on to the new wiring for the old girl

I finished replacing all lines today did the rear one that runs along the frame to the hose on the rear end. Heres a pic of the booster all plumbed up, also had to change the way the front lines were ran. Now I don't know if I should fill and bleed the system or leave it dry until I'm ready to run the **** (just in case I have to crack it open)
as for next, this little mess is next wish me luck

Today I rounded up the parts to make the brake booster extension rod. It took me longer to find the parts than to actually do it (noone had fine thread rod or the coupling) I finally found the rod but no coupling in a fastener wholesaler here in Medley. So I had to cut the rod that came with the kit and reused the coupling.
took a side pic of the pedal but can't get a good angle to show height (it's even with the gas pedal)
It's amazing what a week off of work can do for motivation

I've attached a few more photos. It's a little more stripped down since the in progress photo. Entire front is off, firewall items have been removed. The hardtop didn't have an engine, but the sedan has a nice rebuilt 324 (bored over).
My goal is to take the two 98's and make them into one nice car (probably a mild custom, but not fully decided yet).
Yeah I basically have two of everything. It's working out well. I have a cracked right tailight on the sedan, but a good replacement on the hardtop etc etc.
The hardtop had an interesting trailer brake set-up in it. Hooked right into the brake lines.
I have 100's of pictures from both tear downs if you are ever in need.
I will be tackling gauges, stereo and heater remmoval as my next step. Should be interesting. I know the dashes are spot welded in so I will probably just remove as much as I can to be able to repaint.

Oh yeah, I plan on keeping them both, either to keep for parts, or to part out. The hardtop is pretty solid (both cars are) but it has had some work done on it before (bondo on the doors) so I'm gonna blast it and see whats there before I get too excited
Both cars have dual dome lights....I've attached a photo of the bracket from the sedan. I haven't got the head liner out of the hardtop yet but I imagine it would be the same. If you'd like I can measure it and maybe trace a template for you next time I'm working on the cars.

Yes sir, that was one of the main reasons why I bought it. I figured I could always repair the antenna if it didn't work but to my surprise they were not lying about it being operational when removed . Only thing now is that I have to look for an antenna lead, which I think I could retro fit from a newer one

also just got these, I broke one while rewiring the headlights (they fit out of the 49-57 chevy repos) look how my good one looks next to the new ones

Now I'm looking for a power steering column drop it is a 3 piece drop just need the top piece that screws to the dash but if you don't want to separate I'll take it all. What a nightmare I'm about to leave it manual steering
