On a side note. Did they really used to send an electic shock thru the water at Hialeah to get the flamingos to fly between races? I know it's not Olds related but I've always been curious. What a beautiful place.

some but a lot of the bigger stuff, like metal was done by my friend Carlos, and paint was done at my brother's and friend Javier shop

thanks, you don't know how long I had to look for these things, then nobody had stencils, so I ended up buying a whole a/c dash for it

still have the dash and two extra vents if anybody is interested, they sold on ebay but the guy backed out of the deal

Does anybody have a super 88 with the dual dome lights? Just got mine but don't know if there was a braket that puts them in the right place

You've done a great job restoring your 56 Olds. I think I am starting to like that year best. Where did you find the spot lights - can you buy them new? What a great feature!

I pieced a set together thru ebay(took a while) I wanted them because my car came already drilled for dual spots and I didn't want to let that go to waste. But if you want them right away and don't feel like piecing a set together unity has the correct brackets and spots for most classic cars

Nice disk brake job. Do you have a single chamber master cylander and if so, do you plan on changing it to a dual?

Nice fit and finish, looks like a scarebird set up. I have the same thing on my 57 although the brackets are a little different.

I could not find a dual master cylinder the fit the Moraine-Bendix master cylinder, so I deleted the drivers side air box and installed a firewall mounted brake booster and a swinging pedel setup so it could go to the dual master cylinder.

My car wasn't even a power brake car. I bought a factory power brake setup and changed my mind about it. I'm probably just going to use the pedal to make it look stock but everything else is going to be new. The setup I posted above is most likely what you'll see in it in the near future



BTW power brake setup for a 56 including canaster, master and extra pedal for sale

I used a 8" dual booster with a GM dual disc brake master cylinder and a hanging pedal out of a 70 olds I found in a wrecking yard and made my own bracket. I did not go your route because of the under dash duct work for the defrosters would have been in the way. I not sure if you have the same clearence problems. Let me know if you want them and I will take a couple of pictures of my install and post for you

sure, I could always use extra pics for ideas, btw I still haven't bought that kit, that was just one of my choices, but will probably go with a dual 8" after reading up on ebay and your post

there's a shop called horsepower here in Miami that custom makes them. I've had it for a while was just waiting on a new sending unit because mine was beat.

Interesting Olds Accessory page. I like the windshield washer example photo of the single stream for grime. I suppose there is also a spray function as well. I've been working (slowly) on trying to get my washer working and wondered how the nozzles covered the windshield.
