Strut compatibility

Heyyo y’all! I got a 1989 Trofeo and I was wondering if the front struts from a Reatta would be compatible? The measurements seem to within workable specs but I’m curious about the B5 and B10 body mount meaning.

If they were the same, Monroe wouldn't waste the time and money to manufacture and warehouse two different part numbers.

I think it's a fair enough question, esp. considering it's RA who frequently provides inaccurate/inconsistent information. What the heck is a Parts Pack(s) & why would the Parts Pack(s) have identical numbers? I trust no part numbers provided by RA on the RA website.

Body B5 and B10 refer to the body of the strut. They are different.

Is your question not of the same type question you previously posted August 5th, 2023? I can see the validity in asking about an interchange for cross compatibility if you can't find one set versus the other, but I'd prefer to continue searching elsewhere until you can validate you're comparing same OEM/Interchange Numbers.

You can either take them to a local hydraulic repair shop, or you can search for the GM interchange numbers.

I still think your best bet is getting the OE struts rebuilt. Even if you have to find an online vendor and pay shipping 2 ways.

Are you close to Indianapolis? I got plenty of hits when I searched for "hydraulic repair."
