Luck most certainly can play a role in bracket racing but first you must put yourself in the position to be lucky.

"Did I miss your chevy time slip?" Are you asking for time slips?

I am not saying I am better than chadman at racing I am saying that I can cut lights and dial where others in super pro use electronics. There is a difference bin types of racing. I am just a foot brake guy. I agree there is luck but you still have to have skill. Total package is a factor in dialing a car. If your car run close to dial everytime then it boils down to reaction time. Or as Chadman says he does fudge the dial to allow for a fender race on big end also is what vortex is talking about. My time slip with the ,o015 light was against a super pro guy playing games. He lost trying to fender my car. I am not bragging just the facts. He is a very good racer. James Kunkle is a multi time track champion. At more that one dragstrip. As a matter of fact . Last year division championship . Look his name up. He won like 16/17 rounds .He is damn good with delay box racing and throttle stops. Just not what I am into.

You are free to do as you please but you will win a lot more if you learn how to play the game.
I am not at pro mod level and doubt I ever will be. Not enough cash nor enough time I am getting old. I will be racing pro and sportsman class bracket racing till I am done racing. Thank for your input Chadman .

I have not raced the blue 69 yet, only test hits to get used to the car.
Congratulations

All I can say is I raced at 4 different tracks last year for various events and the roll out is always a little different . I can cut great lights are the grove and Byron where I go more to ., where as us41 and Cordova it was tricky to figure out the sweet spot and the lights always kind of vary ever so slightly .

I wished I couldn't of get my car set up right to match . But engine swaps gear change and drum brakes on my sixty seven not helping to get a good package figured out. I have bought new control arm to get disk brake's. Then back to more chassis tunning and seat time.

Being slow has it's advantages. Cut light good dial = win. LOL cut not so good light damn good dial can also get you a win. I have no problem being fendered. Been passed by pipe racks going over 160 and still beat them. More than one way to skin that cat. Just like lots of ways to loose. LOL

I have a few track wins to get the money at the end of the night. I just need to get 67 reworked and Rocket Vapor finished where I can race it! I want to be able to pick a car and go run where I want when I want. Vortex I bet you do have a few stories.lol

My 87 442 9-16-1 403, 18” vacuum, 2004R, 373. 3631 w/me, ac , all accessories. This is deep staged and I leave it in 3rd, I do not shift it. This car will xerox copy time sheets all day. Yes....It has a Q jet. It doesn’t have to be fast to be a bad ************

Nice car and time Dan! Welcome back! My 358 build is almost all machined. Mine will have similar manners, a 2350 stall slightly tweaked 2004R and custom Qjet done by me as well. I will try and get a couple of runs this year. Unfortunately the 3.90 gears and posi won't go in this year. I am hoping for 14 flat with the 2.78 open gears.
