Ficks, the hood on my parts car is damaged. Sorry, I don't have a red dash board. I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted thread and if you don't get a response here try checking the following sites:

http://ultra-hi-comp.proboards.com/index.cgi?

http://442restoration.homestead.com/Parts4Sale.html

They both focus on 1964 and 65 cars/parts. Also if you create a parts wanted thread be sure and post your city/state. Something like a hood would need a crate built to safely ship it.

hvpq, I have extra cranks but shipping from Oregon to new jersey may double the price. As above, I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted thread to see if someone close by has what you need. If you totally strike out, although I don't think you will, then let me know and I'll get you a total price of purchase plus shipping. John

dallas*fan, sorry I don't have the 1972 grills any longer. I may have an ash tray door and AM radio. I'll look this Saturday. I'd be happy to sell you any spare parts I have, but while your waiting on me don't hesitate to create a parts wanted ad. No hard feelings from me if you come up with something sooner or even closer to your location to save on shipping costs. John

The ash tray doors can be repainted, but if I find more than one what color dash do you have? John

1968 442

Hi John.
I was wondering if you had an engine fan for my 68 442? I could also use a fan clutch and a water pump if you have a good one. Come to think of it I have a whole list of parts. I need both front side marker lamps, lenses, bezels and all. My tail lamp lenses are cracked and weathered so if you have some good looking ones I would be interested. Also I have been trying to get some "C" heads and having a little difficulty nailing them down. I think I only need one but am not against a pair. I would like to convert my front brakes to disk, if you have those parts. I need the top windshield trim and the top trim on the deck lid for a vinyl top. I am thinking some SSII wheels would look nice on my car too. Let me know what you have. Thanks, Chris

64 Dash panel and intake

2blu442,

Would you happen to have a dash panel without the switches and cluster? Someone cut holees below the cluster in ours to install a set of cheap, ugly gauges. We may also need a 330 4bbl intake. 64 F85 Cutlass Club (post) Coupe.

Thanks.

I've got an extra 1965 dash panel. I think the only difference is that the 64 is painted black, but I'll double check that tomorrow in the daylight. I'll send you photos and you can decide if its something you want to use. I should have an intake, but will need to double check. Are you wanting to keep it original or would a different year intake work for you? John

I'd like to keep it fairly original, since I have an Edelbrock carb on it. I don't want to switch to a Q-jet at this point. And I don't want an EGR manifold. I rebuilt the engine over the last year or so, got it installed and running, but it acts like it has a vacuum leak. The Victor gasket I used the first time leaked coolant at the corners. This one is a Fel-Pro, and I did use Ultra Black RTV at each port. I'm going to try aviation sealer next, but will see if there is an internal exhaust-to-intake crack when I get it off this time.

Hey John Happy Spring,
I saw that 1964 Cutlass two door in your photobucket.
Would you sell the rear panel trim piece for the passenger side if it is good shape?
I need the piece that goes from just behind the passenger door handle rear to the taillight area. It looks pretty good.
Thanks

What's been going on John, I posted in the parts wanted section, but I forgot how busy your schedule can be so I figured I better post in your thread. Do you by any chance have a 455 short block for sale? Or even a bare block, crank & Rods?

Pontiac1, I'm sorry I haven't got pictures of the 1965 dash yet. I'll try to get that soon for you to consider. The only 4bbl square bore small block intake I have at this time would be after market.

Denny, I sent you an email about the 1964 trim piece.

drec02, yes I have several extra engines and parts. I saw that Brian has offered you one from up in Penn. You'll save a ton of money on shipping if you buy from him. I've heard nothing but good things about Brian so I'd expect his price and service to be reasonable. Let me know if that works for you.

Cool! Glad to see your making progress on your car again!!! It doesn't look like you needed the whole quarters, but I'm glad you were able to get what you did need from them. I wish I'd crossed paths with you before selling that trim. But I'm keeping my eyes out for another set. Who knows what one will stumble across tommorrow! John

If you saw in the pics, I had the mid body holes filled, in preperation for that trim. Except the blue quarter, which did not have them. The 4 doors have the same trim, and rocker length. So, if you happen across one of those....

Thanks again.

Hi Ron
I have one 1967 AC dash in the yellow car and one 1966 non-AC in the parts car I just got. They both look good from the drivers seat but I haven't pulled them yet to see how all the mounting tabs look. Yes I would be interested in trading used parts for a nice dash I can put in the 1967 442. I'll try to get them pulled in the near future and send you photos of what I have. John

I should have everything I need to put together a nice IP.
Ill send you some pictures of the last one I did for a member for the Hot Rod Power Tour.
I have the face and difuser for the A/C but not the backing plate that joins the duct work.
I have a clock that I rebuilt to quartz and a radio delete ,unless you want to go with a radio.I have 6 nice AM Radios that I have cleaned up.
Let me know ,I am on the road for a week. And I will send a 67 core in for plating when I get back. After plating it takes me a week to detail, assemble and ship
Talk to you soon.

I can work around the mounting tabs.
Really not that big of a deal.
I can repair those.
Just as long as there arent holes and major cracks .
I can patch them up.

In that case we've got a trade! I'm getting ready to head out the door and pick up the 1970 Cutlass 4 door this afternoon. I'll try to pull the 1967 AC dash after work one day this week. I'll also take pictures of the pieces behind the dash and you can tell me what items you need. You sent me pictures once before and yes, you've been doing some very nice work on these dash panels! Thank you Ron! John

GothamCity, sorry I don't have the part numbers down. Are these the plastic pieces that surround the headlights, and the aluminum trim attaches to them? The old plastic is brittle and most I've seen are broken. Have you seen the following thread? They're not perfect, but the ones on this car look very usable. I need to pull them anyway so if you'd like I can send you a message when I have them pulled and pictures taken. John

I believe I have a set of 1971 bezels but will have to look around for them. These are common parts, you won't hurt my feelings if you create a parts wanted thread to see if someone else can come up with a set sooner. I gotta lotta cool stuff but it's not very organized To quote a buddy of mine... I don't have nearly enough room to organize what I have! John

Hello Michael
I don't have any extra Olds rear ends with the low geared posi. I do have a couple Chebby 12 bolts, one with 3.55's from a 1971-72 El Camino. The other a three series carrier with a spacer ring and 4.10 Richmond gears, that is a 12 bolt from a 1971 Chevelle. I'm not in a hurry to sell either one, but that's what I would have.

Have you looked into the costs of purchasing a new carrier and converting yours over vs. buying a complete rear end and paying the shipping costs? Unless you wanted to drive down to pick one up and look at other parts during the trip? Just some thoughts to consider. John

Sorry guys, I haven't been on for a few days.

BFitz, I'll let you know what I come up with.

Phil, I've had some extras in the past but I'll have to dig around to see what I can come up with now. Welcome to Classicoldsmobile, if you scroll to the top of this page to April 27, 2011 you'll find links to two more site that have lots of 1965 Olds information and classified ads.

1966olds4dr, tell me more about what your looking for. I don't have a new cam, but do have two complete 1966 330 engines. Another member here named Cutlassefi may be able to help you find a new one if that's what you have in mind.

Brian, I may have some of those parts but not many. In the past another member here named 507OLDS has advertized complete changeover setups including consoles and shifters. I'd encourage you to send him a PM (private message) and ask what he has available.

John
