Anybody have experience with these clock tachs?
I wan't a tach for my car so I can actually be sure when I'm shifting haha, and the clock is broken anyways, and fixing the clock seems silly when I can put a clean little tach there, just wondering if anyone has used the same kit, and how hard it is to install? If I have an aftermarket dizzy I just have to run a wire to the tach hookup on the dizzy right? But if I have a stock one I imagine its harder? I haven't taken a close look at my dizzy yet but I just noticed today it has a brand new black cap on it, so I dunno if it just had the cap and rotor replaced or its an aftermarket, is there an easy way to tell?

Should be a straight forward install by the looks of it. If your after market HEI distributor has a 'tach' terminal, yes you can hook it up just as you described. If you have a stock distributor (points?) the install isn't really that hard. The tach wire goes to the negative side of the coil.
Or you could do this with a regular old aftermarket tach. I guess it depends upon what size the hole in your dash is.
