You could send it to Just Dashes on the west coast. I would say that the total cost, including shipping, may approach $1500.

There are some home repair videos on U-tube. Here is an example:

They can be painted, but good adhesion is difficult.

SEM paint can be used to to re-color vinyl and plastic interior pieces including dashes. I’ve used their Landau Black rattle cans with good success in the past.

Every used car lot has someone that repair's tears in vinyl seats or cracks in dashes. They use dye to color match the color and some of these guys are real artists
There may be someone local that can help you. God Luck

Lots of options for repairing a cracked dash.

Eventually, I at least want to get a Covercraft dash cover for my 71 98. It's better than sporting a cracked dash.

Adhesion is not a problem when painting/dying a dash pad. You need to clean/scrub the heck out of them first w/plenty of hot water and whatever cleaner you use. Then use a good adhesion promoter on the surface prior to painting. Have done A LOT of dash pads and adhesion has never been a problem.

^^^^^^^

This is also my experience. Plus a lacquer based paint seems to adhere the best to a plastic surface.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I used PPG DBC paint to get the specific blue I like, did plenty of prep including SEM's cleaner and adhesion promoter. Two different dash pads, pretty certain neither were contaminated with armor all. Same problem - high contact areas, like the corners where it comes up against the door cards, will wear through within a year or so. Thankfully it's covered when the doors are closed, but I get a little flash of that ugly gold every time I get in the car.
Using vinyl dye will make it easier, and dying darker or back to the same color would be easier. It's hard to start lighter than blue so I'm always having to cover - ends up being 4 coats or something.

I believe there are 3 options. Expensive repairs, like Just Dash's, Hack repairs, with bondo, and bedliner, or some other textured paint, OR...try a local upholstery shop. Mine will stitch or glue the crack together, then sew a vinyl cover for it, that looks as good or better than original.

I wouldn't call using a filler a "hack" repair.

Even if you have a dash redone by Just Dashes, what are the chances that it will crack again given enough time? Plus, don't use bondo to repair the crack. Use a plastic welder like Polyvance. It's specifically engineered to repair dashes.
