Two Questions

1) I'm trying to find the orange 12v wire that feeds the throttle assembly on my 66 for the Swithc Pitch and downshift solenoid. Is there a schematic in the chassis manual that shows this? I don't see it anywhere and I'm wondering where it comes from. The hack before me may have snipped it.

2) How much do you think it would be to rechrome some 442 fender side louvers. They have mild pitting. I can get knock offs of the originals at various places for around $239 and I'm wondering if it's cost effective to have the old ones rechromed.

I know these are vague questions but any help is appreciated.

George

If the car was originally a stick car,the wire was cut @ the factory.
Go with the repo bezels, not even a close call.

The wiring diagram on p. 12-2 doesn't show the orange wire, but as noted it will be present only on an automatic trans car's wiring harness. I don't know if it was simply cut, or is missing from the firewall connector onward. I don't know if the under-dash harness for stick cars had the orange wire, either. I'd have to tear apart a stick harness and the only one I have is on a car.

All of the cars had them and was cut if a standard trans was installed. I've looked @ many harness's and all of the standard ones I've seen have been cut.
