Bloomfield NJ. This video is ancient but is proof the place existed and exported all GM vehicles overseas. Shubert sent me a list of 64 A body production numbers, and a very small amount were listed as built at Bloomfield. It wasnt used for Olds exclusively, every marque was exported from Bloomfield.

The plant is shown at the 16 minute mark.

Okay it's time to dig out the trivia thread...

How many 4-4-2's did the FACTORY turn out in '66 with the L-69 tri-carb package?

And there is your answer Jamesbo, down to the thousandth of an inch Oops wrong filter, I think he is talking about this one... http://www.wixfilters.com/filterlookup/PartDetail.asp?Part=42993

Which would be 2.620 for the outer diameter and 0.930 for the inner diameter.

Okay it has been awhile since this thread has been active and it's time to test your Oldsmobile knowledge...

What Oldsmobile had the distinction of being GM's 100,000,000th car built in the USA? Name the exact date, year and model to be able to ask the next question.

Man that 55 Holiday is a beautiful car but it looks like they repainted the front fender.

I am going to day 1949. I know they made one that year but am not totally sure it is the final year.

Correct. In 1949 Olds made both the real woodies and the "tin woodies" that were all metal with painted-on woodgrain. For 1950 there were only the "tin woodies", then no wagons again until...

Wait, that's a question for another post. This one's your turn.

Look again. I think it's actually the doors and rockers that were repainted.

Joe, I am going with 57 when the next wagon came out. I do not remember ever seeing a 56 wagon. The 57 Fiesta is too easy to remember.

I see where you are coming from on the repaint of the doors and rockers. In any event, it is surprising they would use a photo like that.
