Ok hint time...this engineer shared the duties to make the 66 Toro go & led design of the bane of all Muscle cars...the catalytic converter. There are a few other engineers who truly made their mark in the history books, while having a hand in the future of Olds...Cheers!

Broken

Even though no one Uncled out, but to break my 442nd Trivial Post...Robert Stempel- 66 Olds Toro transmission & suspension engineer, catalytic converter development engineer, CEO of GM. Charles Kettering (I think most should know him...) Brought air conditioning to Automobiles 'assisted in the invention of Freon', with a colleague from National Cash Register...formed Dayton Engineering Laboratories Company, AKA Delco, also nearly had the Rocket 88 engine named the 'the Kettering'. Pete Estes of Mendon Michigan worked with Kettering and a few other guys on the Rocket 88 in 49 and helped another dude on a 64 Pontiac...GT something or other, Dale Smith had a small hand in special package the Hurst Olds, Neither last nor certainly not least Saint John of Beltz of Toro's & 442's galore. And others to be sure. I yield the floor to the cognoscenti...
