Hurst Emblem on Trunk

Hey all. I just got my 442 on the road. It has W30 emblems on the front, but there is no paperwork on that. On the trunk lid there is a Hurst Equipped badge. I don't seem to see many cars with this emblem. Does anyone else have this? Was this factory or did someone stick this on themselves? Thank you.

Aftermarket emblem from Hurst Performance, usually came with an aftermarket shifter. Typically put on left since model badge was on right.

Thank you Koda. As far as I know it is the original His and Her shifter. Altho, the transmission is not numbers matching so maybe they changed it out when they put the new tranny in.

You can buy those Hurst emblems today for about $15. No Oldsmobile ever came with one from the factory.

This question comes up a lot.

Thank you Joe. I need to upgrade my research skills as they are poor. I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of how to use this forum.

The site search function leaves a few things to be desired. The trick is to use Google. Type "classicoldsmobile.com" (with the quotes) into the Google search box, followed by whatever you're looking for. It's a much more effective method of searching this site.
