I saw one once at a car show, and as a matter of fact my 70 Supreme convertible is a 4 speed, purportedly one of just a handful built that year.
I remember the car at the car show pretty well. It was sort of a tomato soup color and just as the guy was getting ready to leave all the coolant came out of the engine and ran down the parking lot. He just sat there bewildered.

I dont believe they came with a Hurst Shifter, that would have been an aftermarket add on, and the emblem came in the box with the shifter. Manual transmissions were available in small block powered F85/Cutlass/Cutlass S/Cutlass Supreme Models. 455 equipped cars came with auto trans only.
as far as 4bbl and a hurst shifter yes..i have had 3..all 350 4bbl, and a Hurst shifter was all that was available from GM...its not really special, but they are cool
i even had one that was a 350 4bbl with a 3 speed manual and a console..and the Hurst shifter was standard equipment..not really special..
hurst emblems where for hurst wheels originally...not a hurst shifter...the originals are pot metal, and they are repopped in plastic, and have been repopped for a long long time..in the late 90s they started showing up on hot rods because they where just so freakin cool
the embs say Hurst Equipped...i assume thats what you are talking about??
Restored a 1970 Cutlass Supreme Convertible with 350 and factory 4 spd also had rally suspension. Had Hurst shifter with just a H on it. This car was platinum met. Black interior with AC. This car had it's factory build sheet.
They’re out there with both M20s and M21s in 1970. The ones that have become really desirable have the hotter QB code 350 in them. Do a forum search by “QB” and you should see some informative results.
As others have mentioned, they’ll have a Hurst shifter with just the “H” on it.
The 350 4bbl 4spd was readily available as a factory option in 1970 (and in many other years). All Muncie transmissions from 1966-1974 came from the factory with Hurst shifters in Oldsmobiles. All would have had the "H" stamped in the stick. The easy way to tell if the shifter is factory or not is to remove the boot. Factory Hurst shifters use a snap-in stick. Aftermarket ones use a bolt-on stick.
Maybe next year, 2021 I'll long haul the F-85 up your way out of Dallas if the weather forecast is decent for late November. It would be an exciting ride. Afterwards I would run up to Wisconsin and see family.
Here's a few pictures of one that has been hibernating in a dry building since the mid 1980's. Lansing built very late in the model year, it has the QB code 350.
That color no top is one of my favorite colors on an Olds A body. I knew of a 70 442 with factory ram air in that color. Beautiful car. Good for you. It is sitting indoors. Let it sit until you can get to it. Awesome car. Love to hear details on it. What a kick *** car. Can I say that here?

The car appears to have been originally ordered to mirror a W-31 based on the 17 options on the car, including performance options such as high compression 350 with 4 barrel, W-25 ram air hood, four speed, dual exhaust, anti-slip rear, heavy duty suspension with sway bar, etc... The car does have power brakes which you could not get on a W-31. Maybe the original owner wanted power brakes along with performance. I should do an owner history search as it would be interesting to find out from the original owner what the motivation was to load up a Cutlass S with options as opposed to buying a W-31.
Here are pictures of another 1970 Cutlass S, with a QB code 350 and factory four speed. Owned by a friend of mine, this car is twilight blue, with black bucket seat interior. Tucked away in 1990, alongside his '68 442 convertible, in less than ideal storage conditions.
I was perusing Mecums Kissimmee 2021’s listings. Lot #R105.1. Blue/blue ‘70 Cutlass S 4-speed with buckets. I did not see any mention of condition or documentation. Looks like a nice driver.

Im new to Olds stuff as I just bought a 68 Cutlass. Is the steering wheel pictured original to year of car. Asking because I look the style more then the 68 3 spoke wheel. Thanks

That four spoke wheel was used on 1970-77 Oldsmobiles. Repros are available. Your 68 has a smaller diameter steering column, so for best appearances you really want to use the hub from a 1964-66 Chevy two spoke wheel. Repros of that are also available.

Joe, is this the one you are referring to? ThePartsPlace.

Yes. It is the correct diameter for the 1968-older columns and accepts the four spoke wheel. There is also the hub used on the 1968 three spoke "wood" wheel, but it has the notch where the third spoke overlaps the center, leaving a gap when used with the four spoke wheel.

Thank you. I will have a million questions later in the year when I start this project. Im building a clone Hurst my way and not an exact. It will have the Hurst touch but not 100% correct. This project will be a weekend driver. Pictures coming soon as it is a rust free AZ car. 350/350 a/c. Currently pearl white with light blue original interior
