I have seen first hand what it takes to make motors fail. During cash for clunkers we were making bets on how long its would take and what would take longer ect to die. The shortest was a V6 Dodge Dakota. Its was less then 10 seconds. The second shortest was a 90 model 350 Suburban that lasted about 25 seconds. Most of the 50+ cars my dealership had to kill
lasted between 45-60 seconds. The one that everyomne was betting would be the first to go lasted the longest. A worn out Mercedes with 250+ miles. It lasted a full 2 minutes and still didn't die. We finally had to give it a 2nd dose of kill liquid and it finally slowly locked up. The most spectacular was a in-line 6 in a Ford pickup. It chunked a rod and caught fire.

Did a diesel to gas conversion on an Eldo. Owner wanted to blow it up.
Brick on the gas pedal, long hose to the inlet and a few cans of ether. My did those manifolds glow.
