67 442, with factory air.

air conditioning isn't hooked up.

fan switch on dash runs the heater fan on 'high' only.

get nothing on the other settings on the switch.

bad switch? a 'relay' somewhere? other?

If the fuse is good (in the fuse block), sounds like the blower resistor is bad. Not exactly sure where it is located on your car, but I believe it is under the hood in the proximity of the blower motor.
If that is okay, then I would suspect a bad switch or wiring connection.

High speed used a relay and separate fuse.

Am I correct in thinking that since it runs on high, but not the others, that the fuse is evidently good for the high?

Does anyone know where the resistor would be for the fan motor?

Not sure if a 68 has the same setup but when I took out my a/c I messed up all the wiring to blower. I thought I read somewhere that you need the wiring on the a/c evap unit still hooked up to work those lower settings. Not totally sure what they are for. I tossed all the a/c stuff so right now I have nothing. I have the blower resistor and relay but dont know what wires to hook to where- so Im probably no help but I could throw in a photo of them - Im sure there pretty similar.

 

If this is like the early 70's setup, there is a fuse under the hood for high and one in the fuse block for the other two speeds.
Sounds like the high speed fuse is good. Check the one in the fuse block (if this is the same setup). I would check the resistor before looking at the switch. Once you find the resistor, remove it and look at it. If burned up and the colis open, then you found the problem.
If good, then we will look at the switch.
