Unhappy Missfire help

1965 Oldsmobile delta 88, 425.

Just got done putting a new intake manifold and 4bbl carb, When i went to start the car It has a dead miss in it, Its been about 12 years since i adjusted the timing on a car and i have not been able to find a shop manual for this car

I checked the firing order, Checked the point gap, spark plug gap and the spark plug wires, They all seemed to be in decent order but i do have new wires on the way.

What would be the next step(s) i need to take and where could i find a manual for the olds 425/65 delta 88.

Thanks again for any help
Chuck

Did it run O.K. before the intake swap? Have you checked for leaks with starting fluid(carefull)? How about the points dwell angle (gap)? Is it a steady mis(same hole every time) or is it eratic?

oh yeah. Timing wise I wold start with a 6-8 degree advance at recomended idle speed. this will get you in the ballpark. and i think you want 17-18 degrees of dwell if memory serves.
